264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It would be nice if Tradehill/Mtgox offered "virtual" debit cards tied to accts on: August 18, 2011, 03:22:59 PM
You can get a Paxum debit card, then withdraw from TH or MtGox to Paxum. I know, it's not quite the same, but it works.

A Paxum debit card is pretty expensive imho.

Would it change your opinion if you knew they originally copy and pasted most of their text from Tradehill?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=17004.0

I knew that before I registered.
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are TradeHill withdrawals happening? on: August 12, 2011, 11:52:02 PM
I have a completed withdrawal from Tradehill, but the money haven't shown up yet, so I guess "completed" means that the money is send from Tradehill's account and is on its way to my account?

Shocked  Bitcoin7 is another mybitcoin disaster waiting to happen. It's the sketchiest exchange I've ever used. You can dig up plenty of trash on these forums to see for yourself. My advice is... be wary, sir

They are working just fine.

My wallet doesn't show any BTC transactions, does it take longer to receive the BTC because it's higher than 1 BTC?

Yep.

278  Economy / Economics / Re: A Resource Based Economy on: August 11, 2011, 04:07:38 AM

But the problem is, they're not wasting their life, they're wasting other people's lives by taking other people's inputs (wealth workers produced and partially paid back in taxes) and turning it into nothing. So, they don't have freedom; they are dependent on other's for survival, and contribute very little in return.

Thus why automation. So you dont have to work to keep someone else alive.

And this brings us back around to: Who does the work of designing, building, and maintaining the machines to keep someone else alive?

Huge 3D printers!
279  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has failed. Could something similar possibly work? on: August 11, 2011, 03:32:44 AM
Bitcoin will only fail when people stop believing in it, which is.... never? ^^
