1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Coronavirus Outbreak on: January 28, 2020, 07:27:18 PM
Lets hope for the best, though news channels are trying there best that this epidemics will destroy this whole world. News from news channels are horrible. I am sure on grounds things are not that worse.
No one knows until someone reputable and trustworthy from the affected place will speak out. Media do manipulate the news that they are broadcasting and sometimes it's too much.  There are also people who are giving their insight about the virus, I've seen a video of someone who said that this is a serious case.

And there's someone who allowed an interview and said who's been living in Wuhan for a long time that there are no bats or exotic foods found there. Sometimes, the news themselves are discouraging to watch although you want to be updated with the situation.

Of course it's a serious issue. I m in no way denying the seriousness of this situation. My point is we have viruses in past years also and with time we were able to take control of them but news channels are making thing terrible for there audience.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 66% of all Bitcoin ATMs globally are in the US, is that an issue? on: January 28, 2020, 06:03:19 PM
The fees and unwieldiness are just as big an issue as the geographic spread. They've always felt largely pointless to me but there must be enough people using them to justify their growth. I've no idea who.

And I don't understand why you can't swipe your debit card with most if not all of them either.

They feel like a strange dead end to me.

Yes they charge very high, apart from that they mostly have cameras installed on them. So if you are visiting crypto ATM you are giving up your anonymity also. Thats why they are still not very popular so far.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's over $9000! on: January 28, 2020, 01:47:18 PM
happy 9000$ bitcoin. 9000$ is just the start we want bitcoin to go and touch ATH this year. nothing is predictable in crypto market and i feel that this rally may go higher and higher.
This will keep increasing since there are no new FUD or news that may hinder the price increase or peopleís adoption. Some also say that because of the virus spreading like corona helps in the price to increase since people are seeking way to do transactions without contact to anyone. However, i think itís due to halving that many buy bitcoin now.

Nobody in the community want bitcoin to stop this much waited bull run. Every time we have a bull run we try to associate it with something like this bull run is being associated with corona virus. But I agree that there is no FUD this time and this is not an artificial pump.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pet shop want to become a bitcoin exchange? on: January 28, 2020, 09:19:27 AM
well I dont think using bitcoin as payment method at your pet shop is great idea. it wont give you much benefit since price of bitcoin is still very uncertain and you have to wait for hours to get it confirmed.

6  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Whatís Stopping Crypto Markets from Entering the Mainstream on: January 27, 2020, 05:31:22 PM
As far as bitcoin is concerned there are some issues like scalability and high fees. In my view apart from regulations, these are some serious issues that are hindering its adoption in mainstream payment system.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Posting on BitcoinTalk: how do I know when my post is "too long"? on: January 27, 2020, 04:20:08 PM
There is no hard and fast rule on how large a post can be named as 'too long'. But usually many don't read posts that cross three lines. Post as small as you can so that your posts are read by many.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So this is what 21 million bitcoins look like. on: January 27, 2020, 02:14:52 PM
We can have physical notes that are backed by bitcoin but the problem is how to register there movement on blockchain. That's why we can never have bitcoin currency notes.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion: PoW Will Always Be Criticized for Inefficiency on: January 27, 2020, 06:38:29 AM
Yes. It will be since it consumes too much electricity and is slow the alternate pow is also there. The reason why it's still used despite so many odds is the level of security it provides.

12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Okay. Billionaire investor says Millennials should invest in bitcoin. So? on: January 26, 2020, 03:42:29 PM
What do you guys think?

I am late 20s. So i think i am a millennial.

But only holding half BTC, should i go more for BTC?

If you can afford to buy more then you must go for more bitcoin since 0.5 bitcoin is not much. We have coin halving coming up and dont know btc may shoot in coming days. Its never too late to buy bitcoin, just grab as many as you can from your savings.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost BTC in hard drive failure, still have to pay taxes? on: January 26, 2020, 02:22:41 PM
I lost all my Bitcoin to a hard drive failure, do I still have to pay taxes to the Reptilian banking cartel?

Dont know which country you are from. If you have declared bitcoins in your annual tax returns then you have to pay the taxes. Consult some tax lawyer that what your country law says regarding that issue.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright claims , today will be the last day for Bitcoins. on: January 26, 2020, 01:16:18 PM
Craig Wright is suitable to be the host of a reality show. He knows how to make a hype. But other than, heís just a liar who wants to be a big boss

I don't think many will watch that reality show. Host of reality show must be of some good repute to attract audience. We all know he is faketoshi and all his claims are false.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: which year Bitcoin will be 100% mined? on: January 26, 2020, 10:24:38 AM
According to forecasts, this should be the year 2140, but once I calculated it myself, and I saw that the halving is faster than previously written. Itís possible that I was mistaken then, but itís possible that Bitcoins really will be exhausted earlier than in 2140.

Or we may say that after 2140 there will be no more speculation about what price of bitcoin will be after next halving. Since after 2140 we wont have any halving. No one from today will be there to see last bitcoin getting mined Sad
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a crypto freelancer? on: January 25, 2020, 04:56:28 PM
There are many freelancers working on crypto domain like some are providing writing services, ico thread manager etc. Crypto is not only benefiting the investors but huge returns to these freelancers .
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin bank, Necessary? on: January 25, 2020, 01:48:09 PM
Bitcoin is againest traditional banking system and there is no need for bitcoin bank. In crypto community everyone has full control over his funds or you may say everyone has complete bank at his disposal.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who bought Bitcoin in late 2017? Still recovering or fully recovered? on: January 25, 2020, 07:33:55 AM

Well i am in the same boat.

Just out of curiosity, is there any still recovering from the deadly bitcoin price in late 2017?

or fully recovered and seeing profit? or Sold away at that moment or later?

I dont think those who bought BTC in dec 2017 when it was at its ATH find a chance to exit safely till today. I remember receiving a payment in eth when it was at 700$, I never get a chance to sell those eth because of continuous decline in price.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: January 25, 2020, 07:13:13 AM
Some governments recently try to create their own crypto currencies (e.g. China), according to reports. Some welcome this as a good step towards mass adoption of cryptocurrencies, others don't like it. Still, the crypto media welcomes this and we should consider whether this is good news in general or not.

What would be your opinions be on this? Should more and more governments create their own digital currencies and introduce them to their population or should we not support the creation of digital currencies made by governments?

Honestly they are not cryptocurrency rather digital currency just like normal other digital version of fiat. We must have our concepts clear about crypto i.e decentralized and distributed. So these government backed cryptos are not opportunity nor threat to real cryptocurrency.
20  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Why Crypto Marketet Is Dumping Drastically !! on: January 24, 2020, 09:20:24 AM
its not only dumping. since start of this thread 12 Nov 2019, we have a pumping session after US/Iran tension that took price to 9k$. So when market is dumping then its ideal time to buy and HODL. When we have pumping session than its ideal time to buy.
