41  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [20 TH] CKPool (www.kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: April 25, 2015, 02:50:13 AM
Very interesting. I may point some has at this soon as I am currently back in "testing the waters mode". p2pool has been good to me and I've roi'd on 2 s1's but starting to see non-paying blocks. I'll be over shortly, have a beer waiting for me Wink
Well if I can update the S1/S2/S3 driver in a few days hopefully more of the S's will join too Smiley

I don't understand ?

I have had s1 s2 and s3 s here and they work fine. Why do you need a new driver?

I still have s2s and s3s here.

Kano
Is there better software I should be running on Antminers?  I would like to make sure I'm getting the most from hardware.

at this point in mining anything that helps could make the difference of tuning them off or let them run .

and well written pool software  Smiley
Heh well that's a bit of a sore point cos Kano keeps expecting me to find something and fix it, but any possible cause for the recurring issue that might be in the software that I postulate doesn't seem to change the behaviour so I keep blaming hardware... but I keep looking anyway. Chasing ghosts indeed.

HEY..... NO WORRIES

I'm very impressed with CKPool and CKSolopool.  You will find the bug or hardware problem.   Sometimes walk away, take a break, refresh your brain and POP the answer appears.

We just need a couple of blocks to take the edge off.

again..... Thanks for all your time and work.

It's mostly just plain old luck.

Miners just started beeping, that's not good.
What just happened? Planned reboot?

My miners are back online but web page showing 0 GHs.

Edit: Miners now showing up on web page. GH's going back up.
Quite a few unplanned restarts lately Sad

The "bug that rears its ugly head occasionally" sure has been active this past week, inversely so to the pool finding blocks.  Correlation only, I'm sure, not causation.

At one time that "bug"  that causes pool restarts was very lucky.  It was funny because everytime Kano did a restart we would hit a block shortly
after.  I think it happened 4 or 5 times.   We all were asking for a restart after that.  Grin

It's mostly just plain old luck.

46  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 8 Antminer s3 all 8 for 2BTC + shipping on: April 13, 2015, 05:20:11 PM

I have 8 s3 s  would like to sell them. ALL OF THEM for 2 btc.  will only do escrow with  OgNasty.

I'm in Northern Illinois so shipping within the US should be about 20 dollars each or less.

I won't ship outside of US.

If you want any less than all 8 it's .3 btc each. I would rather sell them all at once.

Thanks for looking

bitwitt

Are these sold?

Sale pending on hold until 04/17/15
47  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 8 Antminer s3 all 8 for 2BTC + shipping on: April 11, 2015, 04:44:32 PM

LETS KICK SOME HASH!

Nice to see the rented rigs broke that long and painful
block. Had 100ths for 12 hours

bitwitt aka pingster

Did the rented rigs really break the block?

I rented them from WestHash.

Hi Sloopy

Life has many twists and turns, that's for sure!
It's like driving a car with no steering wheel, but we still have a brake and gas pedal.
sometimes life takes a turn and we don't know where it will bring us.

The hard part is knowing when to use the gas or the brake pedal.
Family and friends are always a good guide.

Best of times for you and your family.

Heh, it's autumn here - daylight savings just ended last night.
Will soon be deciding if there's one (or two) of my varied old hardware worth turning on to heat the place soon Smiley

P.S. Yeah prefer people to not use the thread for sales Tongue
There's another section of the forum for that.

Thanks Kano. I knew is was pressing it.

BTW

One of us is always living our life upside down. Grin

if you need some heaters ...let me know.

Well, gotta do something while waiting for the blocks Smiley
Oh there's another one Smiley
(awaiting confirm)
Edit: confirmed

My S3+ arrived yesterday, got it set up last night and it has replaced my S1 in this pool (+250gh), glad to see the luck is still here.  Cool

Congrtas on your s3 if your in the market for more I have 18 I would like to sell. I have kept them in my basement all winter but it's starting to get a little warm here in Northern Illinois USA.  I have some s3s and some s3+ . $75 s3+ or $65 s3 each + shipping to USA only.

Northern Indiana here and just started listing my S5's for the same reason...basement is going to get to hot soon.

I'ts  funny. the gas company bill for heat is 90% less this winter but the electric bill is $600 or 90% more. I keep waiting for the police to knock on my door. Thinking I must be running a grow house.  LOL  ....

58  Bitcoin / Pools / .org 0.5% fee anonymous solo bitcoin mining! 29 blocks solved! on: March 29, 2015, 03:42:43 AM
Be very careful renting hash at MRR. I tried to rent 900 ths and at the most I got 400 ths.  They did refund some of my rental.

All I wanted was 900ths pointed at this pool at this point I have no clue what I paid for and what I received.

I hate it when I feel like I nave been scammend.

They are going to wait until the other rental is finished to refund missing hash.

I now have to switch rental to KANO.IS so I have a proof of added hash.

Alright people we can do this, we can break this record!  Only a couple hundred more percent!  Who's with me?

I'm in  lets get over 600% Shocked
60  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: 2 AVA4.1s Won! [2200 TH] CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: March 27, 2015, 12:24:58 AM
Is this a new record for the pool in terms of time?

No

I think we had one over 500% of difficulty. But as far as time the pool's 1st block was about 3 weeks.

Just hang in there. When we have less than 1% of the network difficulty in hash rate  WILD swings of luck are common.

We just need more HASH POWER.   Cheesy
