OP upgraded with the most important infos,
Of course the OP will need a complete remake after this swap has settled.
Earlier does not make sense, as long as wie have to list TWO VERSIONS it will
stay a bit confusing, but i did my very best.

Hallo

Rabatte geht...

Hier die Webseite: http://heatledger.com/
Bitcointalk Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1543991.0
Der besagte Artikel: http://www.forbes.com/sites/rogeraitken/2016/07/10/decentralized-exchange-turns-up-heat-with-blockchain-start-up-support/#35dd77124baa

Danke

...just saying ...

1523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED] Staisybit - Universal Online Staking Wallet on: July 12, 2016, 07:13:15 AM
I think they are all focusing on another "project":
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1456407.0

Seems, that staisybit is not dead, but they could have posted in this thread about it, so the people only reading this thread would be updated.

Thank you for the hint, but focusing another project while ERC is still in maintenance, OKCash not staking, statistics about staking are wrong.....
How long until they abandon the "new" project just to focus the next one?

we  don't "abandon" projects, but we are the least persons in charge for staisybit and are not always (or seldom) in power to move things (I explaned very openly here before),
i don't have even any access to the tech area here. Because you seem to love seeing "patterns" to spread,
maybe you take a look at ALL projects, Meta and I am running, in some we are involved much longer then in Staisy .
Perhaps you recognize another pattern that makes much more sense then your current one, just saying.

You are kicking those , who are (especially Metamorphin) doing their best to get the most for you out of this situation,
and you do it, just because you can't catch the guy you are really angry on,
that's not THAT helpful for your problem.

We are small shareholders, nothing more. We COULD just walk away, but instead of doing so,
we care about your anger and even answer to accusation like this, because we know you have a reason to be angry.

Well let's see how far Staisybit would go. Honestly, I think that it should be given more attention into it (StaisyBit) for better customer support and satisfaction. It has been several days, since DMD wallet says Syncing. Because of this, I have not been able to do anything with my DMD balance such as withdraw them into my main wallet. Also, there are still some features that have not been worked on yet like 2FA. I wonder when will get this feature? (as I'm concerned for my account's security) Anyways, I'm looking forward for the DMD wallet to become fully functional on StaisyBit for me to make the withdrawal.  Smiley

no question, customer support could not only get more attention, its simply unacceptable and i deeply feel, you have every right to be angry.
Its a pity. I really have a personal problem with treating customers like that. I would do it very different, if i would be in charge or just,
if i would have the access, that would allow me, to make promises and to be the only one, responsible for keeping those promises,
then you and i wouldn't be sitting here and wasting time. That's why you always hear the same story, because i did not manage to get this access.
All i can say for now is he is not gone, he is as it seems, programming and this could have been so successfull .....

as you said, lets see where it goes ...
have a nice week

We need auto update QT Wallet, like 020LondonCoin, or nobody will adopt really.

And if you want my "Beta Tester" opinion, that I give because I would like it work actually,
is that we should be able to decide with how much of the CPU/GPU we mine with.

I tried, I have 8G RAM, on a five years Toshiba Satellite (i5) laptop. I saw it
takes 1G RAM, which was the good part, but takes 100% of the CPU, so, I do
not even want it on my phone.

We need a slider, or something. People allocating 5% of their CPU's, like 24/7,
instead of 0%, 100% of the time, like me. Smiley

I mean, what do you think?

Thank you for your insight. There are many ideas, you mentioned,
we feel the same. (like autoupdate, slider and so on)
You will see our software to keep evolving and enhancing in the future.
As we have shown over the last 1 1/2 Year, we will keep up as passionate,
as we have been on day one. (yes, that's a promise)
In regards to running it on a phone: I would not run this on my phone either, that's because there has to be a software,
developed just for this usecase and we are already active in getting it done.

Let me once again say thank you for your insight,
i can see, we are on the same path with our visions

You can set the number of threads in the europecoin.conf file. If you dont set anything I think its using max.

This is the guide that have been posted for it.
http://bitsend.info/forums/index.php?topic=59.msg284#msg284

You need to limit the number of CPU threads with genproclimit=4 or whatever number of cores you have to spare.
Then I wonder: what is this setting: minermemory=2. Gb?

But memory also matters, right? I have two Win7 computers with identical setup and similar configs:

Computer 1: 4 CPU cores, 16Gb memory, 3.2Gb used; mining with 2 cores
Computer 2: 6 CPU cores, 16Gb memory, 4.3Gb used; mining with 4 cores

Computer 1 yields nearly twice as much ERC as computer 2 with only half the number of cores!

not the amount of core but the technology the cores based on and the ghz rating is important

its not as people might think a memory mining algorythm
u mine with the cpu the stribger the faster the better
that a lot memory is used is just a way to make develop GPU miners not attractive to develop

regarding my wallet i can say its stable since i not mine with maximum cores active
hodl algo seems to move overclocked cpu's go over the border of stability

yes i have the same experiences with hodl and several other CPU coins,
you simply can't take em all, because the cpu gets "itsself in the way" (just a feeling Grin )
I have best results with using some more memory and using half the cores, that are available.

I am having the idea, that computer 2 has a higher percentage of cores running and if you stress the cores to much,
they slow down, because they lag enough power for their basic operations.
I feel just putting pc 2 on 3 cores and its ahead of pc 1

this is much more fun then waiting for pos, isn't it?

how u plan handle exchanges?
when as stated we will have 6 months both chains active
we cant have the new ERC 6 months without a exchange

ideal would be a deal with bittrex that they state to close ERC and reopen ERC market based on new chain in like 1 Month
as i understand people who miss withdraw could be possible withdraw later via support ticket their old ERC towards the swap addresses

but i dont think it make sense keep old chain market longer active

thatzs what i am planning at the moment, exchanges should switch immediately and let the download for the old version open i guess

a hint from security point of view
never make ur mining address ur main address
have a main and a mining address

the nature of bitcoin codebase (still used by ERC)
include the quantum computer resistance is heavy impacted by how many transactions a address had already

so try have as less transactions on ur main address as possible

this is a point why maybe the way ERC work now is in this aspect more secure than by use POS where u generate many many tx on same address

and it is the reason why DMD who will stay POS coin is moving to advanced more secure address lenght with DMD 3.0

people say quantum computers are 10-30 years away

but we also know miltiary gear is like 10 years ahead

so i see it a real risc in the upcoming years

nice tip and a good point, yes, nobody should underestimate the possibility Quantum Computers will rise quickly.
There are already working ones, from Seth Goldberg (MIT, GOOGLE) (think was the name) though they are all fishing in the dark,
when it come to harvest the power for an operation, that makes sense to anybody, this fact is the last tiny missing part.
If its solved it will ignite the whole thing within a year and go straight though the roof.

Any progress on the development?

I am working a lot on the protocol "under the hood" right now. I avoided giving a visual update because there is none.

My goal is to be able to do a video demonstration by the middle of next week where you can submit work on "client 1",
and see "client 2" receiving that work and starting to contibute CPU power to it (visible in the Task Manager) while periodically earning Elastic Coins.
At the same time we will see how "client 1" receives his desired solutions to his work.

All without being cryptographically secure yet, of course. This will follow in a month or two. It's just meant to demonstrate the working network protocol.

If anyone of you has a simple idea what "work" we could use for the demonstration, feel free to tell me. It must be something simple that can be "bruteforced" like for example "mining a block for some CPU coin"). I think a distributed optimization with multiple iterations would be godlike, but also way too hard to understand by someone who is not doing that stuff every day.
Prime numbers solving or find convergent solutions to any already solved differential equation?? I'm sure in this forum there is some mathematicians that can give you some good ideas about this...

Hey see your discussion and maybe this helps, we just ported Hodl to a new core and built in a shield against the chain stopping at low mining rates,
we also built a new tricky diff retargeting algo with a dual KGW algo. (two kgw, one hardcoded to check against)

hope that helps, here is our GIT

OK, and when the new coins appear on Bitrex and how much time we have to make the conversion?

I have just finished writing the notifications for partners
(explorers, analytic, portfolios, Payment processor, exchanges, merchants ... omg this list gets longer every time)
They will receive it tomorrow, the Coin Swap will run at least two moth but i think we will be faster, because of the fact,
that the remaining people will quickly end up here, when the chain begins to get its first hic-ups ...

I don't know how the exchanges are planning this upgrade, but i will know this very soon and
like always, will keep you up to date.

By the way Avast antivirus deletes the wallet as a threat when starting the wallet. I am guessing its the mining part it doesnt like.
If I remember right you can submit the file to them so that it doesnt delete it in the future. It might be worth looking into as it could cause some confusion later on.

its a false flag, and its one we can't even do anything about, because the virusscanners thiinks, we are some mining bot like trojan horse.
Mining as maleware is one of the most profitable ones. Yes thank you for engaging if the antivirus provider has questions i can also talk to them,[/size]

A few more questions.

How does the term deposit work?

Also I am only getting very few connections even though the wallet have been online for about several hours now. Is it because there only are very few nodes online or do I need to add nodes or something?

No everything is fine, its just a tiny network so far I am curretly getting all services in to prepare
and in the second half of the coming week, we will have a size, that can sustain the network.

DEPOST:
You mean to get interest or do you mean the deposit on the swapserver?

Wallet: i will write a tutorial approximately next weekend
swapserver: Meta is writing a tutorial NOW

How das the minig going? Its easy just switch it on on the upper tab.
That's by the way something, where you are also helping, to bootstrap this network

Matthias,

I have tried the mining option. But my hashrate is very low (13 h/s), so no results yet.

Its using all the cores (4) by default. Is it somehow possible to configure/set the number of cores
to be used for mining ?

Jerry

Thank you for your feedback.

i have seen the testnet has not much blocks. That is a problem from the "short" DGW from Hodl. I have now remove the DGW. The next version from
ERC get my newest "Dual KGW3". First test are awesome.^^

Best Regards Christian
0

I am specifying this a bit with Chris words, because this is an new invention,
Hint: KGW means Kimoto Gravity Well

DUAL KGW3 is the retargeting resulting from KGW3 (in Bitsend) joined with a second virtual retarget,
that is hardcoded and it stabilizes the diff adjusting.
It increases the diff, if the blocktarget hits more then blocktime/5 earlyer, than the standart Blocktime.
Means in that case, diff is adding 15% and increases the dual diff and it makes on the other side,
Bitbreak, to jump in immediately, in case of a hash down-swing this diff is moving virtually in real-time.
The the outcome of this mechanism is breath taking, trust me, THIS ENGINE will be in everybody mouth.
Its lightening fast, precise like clockwork, rock stable but dynamic. A great invention, that really makes a difference
and takes RAM / CPU mining to the next level. WHATCHOUT!
