We are having some venture capital and will hire developers very soon, first money already arrived and we have just finished our buro and workspace.
Part of the development, this company will engage in, are including Europecoin and Federated Blockchains.
(both are part of the plan) I am planning to hire those developers exclusively out of the crypto community.
I am watching several projects and of course keep my eyes open around Federated Blockchains, to finds out,
who is engaging the most for the future of Crypto Currency.
We are developing a Federated Blockchains based p2p point of sales cash-system for average merchants with complete altcoin support.
First hardware for the first prototypes already arrived this week too (touchscreen payment terminal barebones for our software).
Because Federated Blockchain (base system) and Europecoin
(together with Bitcoin first ones we advertise, because first sales will be probably in Europe)
are playing a major role in this concept, we have been able to convince our investors to sponsor these Projects to.

Yes you nailed it, thats what i mean, "no leadership" doesn't exist, in the end i see many leaders,
like for the developers group, for marketing. Quite simply, every time someone turns out to be awesome in his profession,
leadership can happen through the consentus of the group.

I don't like the "leader" word, i stepped in to get the ball rolling, and will keep servicing to anybody who contributes.
My profession is Marketing, especially Joomla Onpage SEO and Twitter Marketing,
witch is helpful for this project and a useful tool, to get things started.
Let me sum it like this
This project is a group of skilled people from various projects,.
Everybody steps in and leads the part, that matches his skill, by contributing some work and knowledge.
By contributing, everybody naturally creates some kind of ownership when it comes to decision making and sharing.
Simply the "really free market" approach.
I feel, that many projects around us, from their inner structure (leadership, sharing ...) are often not reflecting the
liberal world-view, they are talking about. That's okay, but I began, since ERC, to only create environments, that are reflecting my liberal view.
Not only as a tool, but as a way of life.
I try to reflect "freedom" in every aspect of my actions, witch turned out, to be honest, to be a learning curve.

Though i like the savings plus POW approach, i think we (hope so) agree in the most important points:
1) we will not change distribution Speed in a fundamental way
2) we will keep pow low, VERY low (you may suggest numbers, if you like)
3) we will keep the total coins
4) we keep mining reward under savings reward
5) saving about equal to POS rewards (perhaps slightly lees)
This would be very low distribution for a POW coin, but may be slightly higher then at 5%
I would like to see People who are using the savings option are earning about nearly the same as they did by staking and
Miners to earn slightly less then that.
can you imagine to like this approach?
If i get a clear "no we don't like it" from the community, i will cancel this immediately.
(for example at least 5/6 people give their statement and most of them are disliking the approach)
I am not up to decide against my supporters, but I need to get clear statements
and i need them within a week from now, to be able to continue. If i had to cancel,
we would have to find a new concept, but that's what we would do then.
(also here: suggest and take part, its not my coin, its ours)
another aspect:
Though i have an idea about the outcome in my mind,
i also know, this approach has the potential, to surprise us all (in both directions).
But we can afford to be experimental, this coin wouldn't be alive, if we wouldn't have been experimental all the time.
Keep in mind: If this idea would turn out to be a bad idea, we would not be helpless and watch our coin decline.
Over a year has passed and we worked hart to get to know our coin and its code.
We are in control of its nature and would certainly react and change it again, if we don't like the outcome. Because we keep moving and we will not stop rocking this coin, the story has just begun

which means ERC is a zero micromamangement 24/7 staking POS coingenerator
im really not sure throw this away is the best decision
i would focus on services and apps and not touch the core
the only thing that was missing is active staking wallets and POS difficulty for security
the network have now much better POS competition and security that before
the last few security flaws could be easy solved by implement a easy rule that the same address that did mint the last block is not allowed to mint the following block too
then all double spend attacks with hoard lot coinpile for max age are pretty much countered
Simple thing (and the full, honest explanation):
Our POS is running because of a workaround, that can't stay like this.
This is the initial reason, why we began to thing about a core upgrade.
But core of every POS coin is old fashioned, mostly forked from Bitcoin 0.8
and there are some minor thoughts like
If you are honest, as soon as the wallet works, this thread is DEAD and the
trades, still made by me from time to time are also DEAD. POS users, as long as staking works,
are doing something else, but not taking part and its their freaking right do do so, i am happy about my longterm supporters.
But there is no chance to get an active community with this approach. If an approach doesn't work, its not the community, thats wrong,
it is the approach that is wrong and it has to be rethought.
That is nothing to complain about for me,everything has its place.
But EUROPECOIN need at least SOME new direction, or it bankrupts me, before we reach any goal.
And I will make it succeed even if its the last thing i do.
At the same time i see POW Coins always having rumors, created by their mining community.
I am motivated like never before, so this there is not frustration, but if the coin doesn't take off,
I am the one that has to try harder, to change that.
And if it doesn't take off for ages, i also have to try something different
"always doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome is the true insanity" (Albert Einstein).
I like Hodl, because it is an alternative interesting option, to still give our staking community something that has a quite similar "look and feel" like staking has.
To be honest, i am feeling the same as many of you now, i feel a bit frightened to leave a path i was used to, but exactly this is my job now.
Not changing a non working concept, because of fear for the future is the approach for true loosers.
So its not us 
So its this combination of technical problems with the current wallet and my thoughts, i just described,
that are making me think about taking this approach

Thank you for the hint, but focusing another project while ERC is still in maintenance, OKCash not staking, statistics about staking are wrong..... How long until they abandon the "new" project just to focus the next one?
we don't "abandon" projects, but we are the least persons in charge for staisybit and are not always (or seldom) in power to move things (I explaned very openly here before),
i don't have even any access to the tech area here. Because you seem to love seeing "patterns" to spread,
maybe you take a look at ALL projects, Meta and I am running, in some we are involved much longer then in Staisy .
Perhaps you recognize another pattern that makes much more sense then your current one, just saying.
You are kicking those , who are (especially Metamorphin) doing their best to get the most for you out of this situation,
and you do it, just because you can't catch the guy you are really angry on,
that's not THAT helpful for your problem.
We are small shareholders, nothing more. We COULD just walk away, but instead of doing so,
we care about your anger and even answer to accusation like this, because we know you have a reason to be angry.

Just installed the latest version.
Working worked smooth!
After an hour or so, i got disconnected from the network.
It mined, but the blocks where unaccepted.
Just to be curious, what's changed/prepared in this new release ?

The workaround (hardcoded blocks) have been coded till block 1 000 000, thats where we are, now you are running
on a modified PPos engine with an output quite similar to the former engine, but prepared and testeed to run with 5 min blocktime.
Next upgrade will be Blocktime and then the full switch (or both at once, Chris will decide) what you experienced, was the stop of the workaround,
until enough nodes catch up the new engine. Old engines stop and are preventing hardforks by doing so.
doing an extented transition (Engine, Core, Algorithm, Staking2Hodl, Blocktime)
like this, without a coinswap, is some kind of masterpiece.
If we succeed, we will have prooven, to be able to adapt to ANY possible situation

2) saving and limiting the supply for a certain time
thats not true u dont have two possibilities to achieve u have to use both or u fall behind in conserve the percentage of total coins im not against hybrid POW/POS solutions (how i could by run DMD is one of the best example it works out great) but for the hybrid security aspect u can even go with low mining coin rollout i dont wana create ur coin specs enough work to manage one coin i just raise this points so u can create coin specs and have that aspects also in mind when u doing so
Sounds reasonable, i can't say how we are taking that into account,
but you made me think from a different perspective.
I hope we are managing to model the specs in a way that will make everyone happy.
More thoughts are welcome. NOW is the time to raise concerns and to post ideas.

Yes i can see your point, we will modify the specs to make a similar outcome (or better) fpr our investors, i will get mor specific in numbers when we are done with our tests. The only difference should be the investore will do something different then staking. But on the other hand he will have TWO possibilities to achieve the goal: 1) mining and supporting the network 2) saving and limiting the supply for a certain time if we achive that by a saving rate of max 8% and a slow mining reward, that is attractiv to single users, but not attractive enough for multipools, would you be able to argee on that? Raeson for my decission: 1) If you watch currend POS coins, they are all running on an ridiculous old core, the is rarely any progress. With the new solution we could work with bitcoin core engines and take advatage of their currend developments. 2) miners are creating rumors and we need some more public discussions talking about us, POS is mostly quitely staking people, that do not talk that much. So i searched for a solution that could make both of them happy. I am sure stakers will lover the saving concept. and yes, i agree with rollout speed and total coins should stay the same tell me what you think Matthias |

I liked the concept of Hodl (Lock up coins - the longer you lock them the higher the bonus POS).
However, the verdict is still out on it. When the lockup periods expire, large amounts may flood the market.
However, the Hodl team says the expiration of the lockup periods are staggered and some may re-lock.
They feel it is not a problem. Only time will tell. If there are reeall live usages for the coins the Hodl
developers could be right. The biggest problem I see with Hodl is the POS Bonus %'s are really high.
A more moderate POS table might work.

We will make the rewards like "POS plus Bonus" to keep it low and we will also implement
Bitbreack. That makes us secure in both directions: On high demand and on low demand.
HINT:
Bitbreak jumps on if not enough miners are on to keep the chain moving. I that case all
wallets are beginnig to mine a tiny bit and keep the chain going. It is unstoppable then.
AH i forgot to mention: Europecoin then will be minable again WITH YOUR LAPTOP!!!
H0DL is a very asic proof algorythm, HODL-COIN has been mainly solo mined.

LOL no simpler then that> For all those pictures i needed 1-2 hours and more each. Right now all my projects *(and especially Europecoin)
are running hot and i simply can't spend the time on fun like that and have to focus on the real fun ;-)

I walk through some points from our Raodmap, that changed
1) The friend of mine with the local-bitcoins-like exchange doesn't step forward, therefore i decided to do it (guesswhat) myself.
domain is already there named "localcrypto.eu.org"
2) telefonica did cancel the appointment (in fact they "can't remember" it)
so i searched and found another way to get phones connected, thats what i am doing right now, stay tuned
3) Europecoin will get a new blocktime of 5 minutes to stop the chain from getting unproportional big
4) after the blocktime update we will replace the whole core (wich is BITCOIN 0.79(!!) and we will get the newest one)
5) we are also thinking about replacing POS with H0DL witch is a kind of Ram-Mining concept. It is much better,
its the concepot published by hodlcoin so go out and try this coin and tell me what you think
the remarkable: we will NOT make a coinswap we will ride this chain in one go through all these changes
