I'm seeking hosting options for a new 500kw deployment. If you are a reputable provider with quality facilities available immediately please contact me to discuss further.
Thanks for the feedback. That sounds about right, I've had the same results from them. It seems there is an untapped market for reliable hosting service providers. Definitely agreed, its a sellers market out there right now unfortunately!

I have bought 2400W kit (PSU + BO board + all cables) in the past from Parallerminer guys for under $100. Now they are at $225 and yet sold out. Does anyone know where can I buy Delta 2400W Power supply (DPS-2400-AB I think) or any other server PSU above 2000W that can be used for 13 cards GPU mining?
I currently have a couple rigs with 2x 1200W HP supplies but I will prefer a 2400W one.
Also while I am at it, is PICO PSU a good idea to power 13 GPU Mobo (CPU+Mobo+ 2 x molex + SSD)?
https://www.centrix-intl.com/list.asp?Parent2ID=1&categoryID=11 Pretty sure this is were parallelminer gets all their stock from, and Centrix actually responds to emails in a timely manner. So I would contact them and see when they expect new stock. Parallel Miner are a Centrix brand / division.

Hi, We've just updated graphics cards to Radeon RX Vega64 8G HBM2 and I use ethos on PCs when they're not in use during the day. Ethos doesn't recognise this card - does anyone have any hints/tips?
Thanks, Adyb
EthOS does not support AMD Vega at this point of time (due to the lack of decent Linux drivers for these cards right now).

Thanks, I enjoyed your ZEN rig video using NVOC.
My #1 complaint is paying 0.242 AUD per kWh (0.189 USD)
What state are you in? I'm paying 20.0907 AUD per kWh through powershop in Victoria. I live in NSW. There are cheaper retailers available for me, but the one I'm with (Energy Locals) has a more generous solar FIT. I would like to see a crypto hosting facility in TAS with their abundant hydro power The problem with Tasmania's hydro power is that they quite often run out of water..

Firstly, you will need to own 2000 eth to be a node and to be able to generate a profit once PoS kicks in...
That requirement was set when eth was $7 per coin...will most likely be under 100 coins if price remains where it is. Are you sure it is related to price? It's not related to price, its related to the scalability of the Ethereum platform prior to sharding being implemented. They just wont be able to support a huge number of stakers who are staking small amounts of ETH. I believe the minimum threshold is likely to be in the ~1000-1500 ETH range initially. There will be 'staking pools' to enable participation by those who hold less than the minimum threshold (RocketPool as a leading example).

Is there a way to set the core clock in nvidia-smi? I now use globalcore 1556 in local.conf but it's doing nothing with my MSI GeForce GTX Gaming 1060 X 3G cards. I like ethOS very much, but unfortunately the power usage of my ethOS rigs is 75 watt higher compared to my similar nvOC rigs. I tried do to some changes in custom.sh but it's still not working. The core clock stays about 1750 MHz which results in this higher usage. nvidia-settings -c :0 -a '[gpu:0]/GPUMemoryTransferRateOffset[3]=1500' nvidia-settings -c :0 -a '[gpu:0]/GPUGraphicsClockOffset[3]=-800' Why is this code not working? Do I need to change more? [EDIT] I think I fixed this problem for the biggest part by myself. The globalpowertune was set to 72 because of the 60% of TDP 120W. But it seems like the MSI GeForce GTX Gaming 1060 X 3G has a minimum of 100W. So now I use globalpowertune 100 and the power usage from the wall is about 690W at this moment. Still not perfect but acceptable. I'd like to experiment a little more with the core clock to get this at 675W. In nvOS I'm able to set the core with nvidia-smi to -800 but in ethOS it's only working till -200 Is there a way to overrule this setting? There is no need to set the clock speeds directly like this, just specify your configuration settings correctly within your configuration file and it will work fine..

BBT did a review on the Manli nVidia P106-090 3GB mining cards. In the live stream he did, he could only get the cards working with the Windows driver and overclocking tool downloaded from Manli website. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzuSwO6I_oA&feature=youtu.be&t=61None of the Linux based OS detected the cards. Including ethOS, smOS and PIMP. Well, I know for a fact their P106-100 6G GPU's work fine under EthOS. The should work P106-090's fine as well.

is ethos limited to 16 gpu?
At this point of time, yes.
|
|
|
Yes, the Manli GPU's are stable under EthOS.

I have a 10x10 cage and two 42U cabinets in a NYC datacenter for an existing business. We are quickly migrating most of our applications to AWS, so there is a lot of empty space in the colo facility but our monthly cost is fixed.
Would it be worth it for me to get some mining hardware in there to offset the cost of the unused space? Also, would the existing power (multiple 110v PDUs per cabinet) be sufficient?
That really depends on your power cost. Being in a Tier-II or Tier-III colo in NYC I can't imagine the power is cheap.
