Well, if she was fleeing from tyrants, that would mean Bitcoin can help humans during the reign of tyrants on Earth. If that was a crime money, it could be tagged with proof and will mostly likely be rejected by users.  Censorship resistant and transparency make this possible.
It was not crime money, but her money! The girl's mother died. The girl conducted an investigation and found that a senior government official was involved in her mother's death. So she started a plan to find evidence of that leader to report him to the police, finally, she succeeded and decided to change her money to crypto and leave the country for her safety because that leader was so powerful!
It is good that in this particular movie, it is not because of money laundering but a way to convert her money to crypto for security purposes, which I guess a lot are already doing this when they go outside the country.

Absolutely yes. At least in this movie the story is different, I believe we will see more movies in the future creating good stories about Bitcoin Smiley

First time I've seen Bitcoin in movie I was also pretty much excited. But of course, it was used for illegal stuff.
Nop buddy! No illegal stuff that lady had. She converted her money to crypto and leaves the country for her safety! She recorded a government leader's conversation confessing that she did bad things and cause people to die including her mother, then she send that conversation to the police. So after there she quickly converted her money into crypto and run from her country because reporting a high ranked government leader to the police is not a simple thing Smiley
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Movies. on: October 12, 2021, 07:43:45 PM
I think that the bitcoin being present in movies and series has been one of the things that spread maybe miss information and also moved the curiosity of many people, because whenever there is is reference to hacking and dark web they are always showing bitcoin in a bad way, and that is being used for those things, when the reality if farm from that because the majority of the bitcoin is being used for legal things, and has more use for it than what they are depicting.

True, it is sad to see Bitcoin involved in such movies! But in this movie "Sweet Girl" is a young girl who converted her money to crypto and then left the country for her safety after reporting a senior government official to police for having terrorist incidents and cause the death of her mother.

It’s becoming more & more common that bitcoin is briefly mentioned in movies. It’s obviously a good thing for adoption as bitcoin grows & becomes more & more mainstream.
Absolutely! I have seen several movies involving Bitcoin, and I am very happy to see even the top directors and actors are also starting to involve Bitcoin in their work.

If I watch the trailer a few times, the movie “Sweet Girl” tells a film with the concept of a split personality story between his father Jason Momoa as Ray and his son Isabela Merced as Rachel, and the plot is confusing and messy.

and there are glimpses of crypto in the film maybe because crypto is currently in vogue, and it could also be because criminal acts are used to escape from one country to another because crypto can be used anywhere.

Glad to know you watched the trailer. The daughter is trying to take revenge after her mother died, and that is why she later changed her money to crypto and then left the country. The government was hunting her down so she notice the safest place to keep her money is in the crypto world and not in the government bank.
107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Movies. on: October 12, 2021, 07:10:49 PM
1. It's the movie director(s) that's integrating Bitcoin to the movies, not necessarily the actors/actresses.
I agree. Directors with the collaboration of screenwriters!

Quote
2. Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are mostly added into movies as something that's being used by criminals and shady peeps. Definitely not something that will make people bullish, but it will bring curiosity at the very least.
Maybe! But If you watch "Sweet Girl" you will know why that girl is hunted by the government.

Quote
3. Bitcoin has been mentioned and has been part of a good number of movies and TV series now that it's pretty much a nothing burger now.
Yes, there are some great shows I've heard talking about Bitcoin, but it's just the movies of two popular actors I've seen integrating Bitcoin, 1. Jexi - 2019, 2. Sweet Girl - 2021.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin in Movies. on: October 12, 2021, 01:25:41 PM
If you are a fan of Movies, then you will know Jason Momoa. This year on August 20, Jason Momoa has touched Bitcoin in his movie "Sweet Girl" and has been one of the trending Netflix movies that have been watched by over 10 million people so far. In this movie at the end we see Jason Momoa's daughter (Isabela Merced) going to Bitcoin ATM and exchanging her money from Fiat to Crypto.

Jason Momoa is a very popular artist, some of his other movies like "Aquaman" were watched by over 60 million people and made a profit of more than $1.3 billion so it is my hope that "Sweet Girl" will be more watched.

The act of her daughter changing her money to crypto clearly showed that crypto is more secretive because she exchanged her money when she was fleeing from her country to another country and was being hunted by the government. This means she did it because she believed even if she was arrested by the government her money would still be in a safe place in the crypto world.

Do you think that if these great actors in the film industry will continue to integrate Bitcoin and other currencies into their works will they help add new stakeholders to the crypto world? Because I believe in 10 million viewers, then at least 1 million will want to know why the girl changed her money to Bitcoin, and that will be the beginning of them learning about Bitcoin.

What is your opinion on this?
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is important for a country? or not... on: October 12, 2021, 12:04:49 PM
Cryptocurrency is essential for the development of a country?
It depends!

There are some countries that have a middle economy, maybe Bitcoin could be one way to boost such country's economy. Perhaps such a country could legitimize Bitcoin in its government and allow citizens to invest in it as a normal business and then pay fewer taxes to the government as a contribution to building its economy (maybe 5%) based on the profit they get from Bitcoin. If 5 million people invest $10,000 in Bitcoin (5m people x $10k = $50b) and maybe their total profit become 30% per annum because it's possible ($50b x 30% ÷ 100% = $15b) it means the government will have a new 5% tax per year from that profit of $15b ($15b x 5% ÷ 100% = $750m)!!! Now for a middle-income country to collect $750m from Bitcoin investors is a very good thing!

The problem is here, how will the government find a way to be able to track all the accounts of those investors to know how much they have collected per year to get that 5% when Bitcoin is a non-government currency??
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am new to Bitcoin and have been using Coinbase only. on: October 12, 2021, 11:28:21 AM
I am new to crypto and everything I have done has been strictly through Coinbase. I don't have a key or anything like that.
Welcome to the crypto world. Coinbase is a good exchange but it's not that good to put all your capital in one place, try to make research about Gate exchange, Binance, KuCoin, Huobi too.

Quote
What can I do to make it safer?
First thing is to do not trust any crypto exchange, instead of having $1000 capital and trade all of it in Coinbase, you can split it into 2/3 of top exchanges similar to Coinbase (top exchanges). Always remember to use wallets (cold wallets) to store your coins for a long time. A cold wallet is good because your Bitcoin will be stored offline, that's why we called it a cold wallet. Make a research about Trezor wallet and Ledger.

Quote
Everyone talks about keys, what exactly is a key. Where can I purchase one and how does it work.
A key is the main security for your coins in wallets, it's like a Key to your house, a Key to your car, but the difference is if you lose a key to your crypto wallet then you will never recover it! So your money will be lost. Always remember to keep your wallet key somewhere safe (it's a digital key - a combination of numbers, letters, and special characters) so you can store it to your personal email, google drive, and so on.

Thanks and good luck to everyone. I am already up about 22 percent on my investment and extremely happy. I do feel that BTC will go to the moon.
Congratulations! 22% it's a very good profit because some staking pools will give you 7-10% yearly! Keep it up, Bitcoin is a good coin and the leading coin, it keeps growing day by day.

No. Having multiple accounts on this forum does not necessarily mean you are a scammer. Just follow the forum's rules and you will be fine.

Thanks, I did not know about this before.

EDIT:
As I said before, if tanvirr322 uses your social media links without your permission, you should make a report and leave a tag on his account.

Yes, I will. I saw Sofico have posted this person on their Scam list "nom 8" so I thought no need to report him again, I didn't know if it would affect me here.

The Bitcointalk and the Altcoinstalk are two separate platforms, and many of us are not aware (or even interested) in what goes on there.
As you can see, lovesmayfamilis has already changed her feedback on your account. But like I said, you should make a report and leave your trust feedback on tanvirr322's account if he uses your data without your permission.

I am thankful that lovesmayfamilis has changed her feedback, but I see she forgot to change this part "while already on one account he has a red trust from @CryptopreneurBrainboss" I would be happy if she changes that too becuase I do not have any red trust from the first account and this one, tanvirr322 is the one who has a red trust from @CryptopreneurBrainboss   Smiley

I already give tanvirr322 a negative trust;

Now that binance exchange have compulsory KYC verification it seems that the door is open for people like we to move out and look for other options, the question is how long will it takes for other exchanges to join? For example coinEX and kucoin?

Some exchanges may follow Binance steps since it is the leading exchange, I also can't use all services in Binance because I've not passed their KYC due to the documents that they want. But there are many altenatives for Binance, I still feel safe using exchanges like Gate, Coinbase, and some wallets that require KYC.

Quote
How about Dex exchange? Any good one in mind? I used uniswap in the past but high gas fee made me quit.

Many people are always talking good about DEX exchanges but they forget to talk about how people are losing money every day with fake tokens which are listed in DEX exchanges! Everything has its PROS and CONS, so do not trust DEX that is safe in 100% because crypto technology has a lot of surprises.

1. OKEX
2. BINANCE
3. Coinbase
4. HUOBI
5. MXC
6. KUCOIN
7. Hoo
8. CoinEX
9. Bithumb
10. WazirX
Hello buddy! I am surprised that you are in the crypto space for six years but Gate exchange is not on your list! Gate exchange is my favorite and is the 4th exchange in CMC and 7th in Coingecko, I like it because it has very good security compared to other top exchanges like Binance, KuCoin, Huobi, and many more.

Anyways, you are using the best exchanges and I recommend them to beginners.

Yes, Smigo was my first account on the Bitcointalk forum...

In other words, you're not a newbie as you claim.

Yes, I have admitted the mistake. This is my new account and the first one I don't use anymore because I wanted to restart well. The first account was Newbie too though.

Quote
I am saying again, I am not a scammer. I did a mistake with the first account of borrowing a loan because I was in need, ...

No one called you a scammer as far as I can see.

I have been reported by a member of high rank accusing me of having 3 accounts, it's obvious I may be counted as a scammer.

Quote
Also, I don't know this account tanvirr322 !!! I don't know how you did your researches but I don't know this account and it is not my account.

Your social media profile was posted by account tanvirr322 before you did. I don't know how this is possible or where he got your Instagram account from, but if your claim is true and he's not your alt, it is you who should gather evidence and report it.

Not really, I'm the one who started using my Instagram account through Altcoinstalk's bounties (and I'm a very trusted member, and if you want you can ask Sofico's management about me!). Check out this Ducatus bounty Spreadsheet on the Instagram campaign, I am in number 38, and tanvirr332 is in number 136. My stakes are counted and I have tokens, but tanvirr332 got red color and listed as a scam because it is there when he started using my account as his (from Altcoinstalk bounties). He registered 3 times in the same bounty with my Instagram account but Sofico noticed him because they know me because I've worked with them for a long time that's why I have +350 posts on my Instagram account just for bounties!

What exactly do you expect the moderators to do?
I don't know what you think of this, but we use this thread to report alt accounts of forum members. You haven't received negative trust from anyone, so there's no reason to make a fuss.

As I said earlier, even my first account that I no longer use has a newbie rank as well. So I still don't know much about Bitcointalk, I thought if I got reported here the moderators will close my account.

Accounts Connected: (Note: Banned shown in red / Inactive in Blue)

1.Jawadu
2.tanvirr322
3.Smigo

Brother! I am surprised. Yes, Smigo was my first account on the Bitcointalk forum and I created that account at the time when I was in need, that's why I asked for a loan and offered DreamHost package as collateral (I still have it even if you need proof I can show you NOW, So I am not a scammer!). I was in a very big challenge at that time so I joined here while I had already panicked and that's why things didn't work for me so I abandoned that account! That is why I have created a new account and never asked for a loan because at that time I had some problems which is a normal thing to us humans! Check my new account, Jawadu read my posts and replies (not bounty posts) and then decide which group you will put me because I am trying my best to share something positive, I have joined here not to scam people but to share small things that I know about crypto, to share my services, and to learn from others!

I am saying again, I am not a scammer. I did a mistake with the first account of borrowing a loan because I was in need, you have provided this link of my loan post but if you read it carefully you will see that I also promised to give my DreamHost package as collateral which I have it until NOW and it has my personal website that I tried to create while learning web design, I can show it to you perhaps you will now trust me, I can also show you or chat with my Cryptotalk account (Hero member) so that you can believe I was not a scammer, I am not a scammer, and I will never be a scammer, I just had some urgent issues at that time!

Also, I don't know this account tanvirr322 !!! I don't know how you did your researches but I don't know this account and it is not my account. I used the same Computer to create my first account and my current account (so they have the same IP and location which are different from this account, tanvirr322), just make your research again about that 3rd account because I see it's from Bangladesh!!!

I will end here, you have reported me, it's okay! I am a newbie so it's obvious I can't be trusted. I have tried my best to explain myself, all the proof that you need I HAVE THEM! Have a nice day, buddy! Let the moderators do their job now after they make their researches too and read my comment, thanks though.

UPDATE:

Here is the proof that I don't know this account (tanvirr322), do you know Sofico bounty, right? Now they've listed this user (tanvirr322) in their scam list. This user uses the account links and posts for social media of other members in submitting bounty reports, he used my Instagram several times because I have +20K followers! Check this scam list from Sofico numbers 8, 9 and you'll see yourself.

How come he uses another Instagram account as a profile link, and another account to submit bounty tasks??? You have not seen that, right? Check his Facebook reports too!!! Check here

I don't know this user, and I don't know why you saw only my account while he uses different accounts for the same social network in his bounty reports. Please recheck again!
120  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking loan to trade is a risky task on: October 09, 2021, 03:05:19 AM
I agree with you! It's not right to borrow money for trading because trading is very risky though it has a profit too when it will be done correctly and at the right time. It's better to start slowly even with $50 then grow it day by day with a small profit rather than wanting to start with a lot but from a loan!
