How long do you have to wait for your coins to mature so that they start earning via PoS?

Would someone be able to zip up the latest block chain? My wallet is having trouble syncing as I haven't had it on for a couple of months.

My wallet seems to be stuck syncing at block 4425744 (17th Oct 2017 18:50:20). How should I go about fixing this as I have left it alone for 1 day and it hasn't synced any further?
Whatever you do, make sure you have a backup of your wallet.dat! Next you coul remove the supercoin folder from hd and run the supercoin executable like you normally would. That way you'll start with a new wallet. Then you let it synchronize (may take a long time unless you have a block backup) After it synced, close the application, replace the empty wallet.dat file with your old one and start supercoin again TY, trying it now. Once I have re-synced is there a way I can get rid of all of the orphaned PoS blocks from my wallet? |

I used to mine this some time ago and I still have my wallet.dat. However, i got rid of the wallet software. Is there anywhere I can download it?

i have a problem i try to follow the instructions from the pool... so the pool says sgminer.exe -k myriadcoin-groestl -o stratum.dgb-groestl.theblocksfactory.com:9003 -u Username.worker -p xXx -I 20 my bat is sgminer.exe -k myriadcoin-groestl -o stratum.dgb-groestl.theblocksfactory.com:9003 -u bisba.bisba -p x -I 13 ...with this my miner stops after start what im doing wrong?also i have download the sgminer 5.0.1 some help guys? Edit your bat file and add a new line on the end with the text "pause" in it. Then run it. That will give you chance to read the error and point you in the right direction. thank you ...good idea so i did it and says only this.... C:\users\pc\desktop\sgminer-5-0-1-windows>pause im trying to mine with rx 480 if this does mean something Humm odd it normally gives more information than that. Have you tried the newer version of sgminer linked above. It may work better with newer AMD cards like yours. |

That is what i am currently doing and on the first trial it has been hanging at rescanning for about 45 min now at 1% can i be safe to assume that it is not the right dat file?

Yeah, it shouldn't take that long. If you are able to get the address and check it before it re-scans you can then check it against the block chain first you can avoid the re-scanning. |

Ok guys serious question, back in 2015 i had mined some digibyte and some other things and put the .dat file on a memory stick will that same .dat file work with the current wallet? Or is there something else I need to do? The problem is that i have all these .dat files from many of coins and i never labeled them so I guess it is going to be trial and error to see which on is correct. Also does the Peers.dat file have anything to do with syncing my old wallet?

Yes, the old wallet.dat will work with the current version of the Digibyte wallet. However, as you say you will have to do some trial and error to get the right one. The peers.dat file contains connection information when you last synced. But as it has been 2 years since you last used it the information will probably be out of date. If you use the config I posted above that should speed up your sync. I'd work out which wallet.dat is correct first as that will reduce the re-scan time. The quickest way will probably be to install the wallet and boot it up. Close it once it has booted and place you wallet.dat file in the aptdata folder. Boot up the wallet, get the address and check it against the block chain to see if it is the right one ( https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dgb/). If it's not repeat until it is. Also, don't cut the wallets to the directory, copy them. That way you will keep your backups  . |

can you tell me where the coins are stored? I mean, where are the coins stored normally in a paper wallet? on a 3rd party? They are "stored" in the blockchain like every other crypto currency. All any wallet does is give you access to a certain address within the blockchain. This is why keeping the private key safe is important as it gives access to the public address, and thus the coins. All you need to do is gen an address on the website and sync the wallet. If you really want to test it, send me the public address that it generates and I'll send a coin to it and you can go through the steps I outlined to make sure the process works. Then why the DEV told us that he do not recommend these services? Why they don't make one official paper wallet generator? Can these walletgenerators website owners store your private keys and hack you later? There's a way to do it offline, you download the website at GITHUB and you can then disconnect the computer from internet and generate a wallet address and private key offline? But my question is, do you need at some point internet, how the blockchain will know I generated that address and privatekey? Sorry for my stupid question. Then why the DEV told us that he do not recommend these services? Probably because they didn't make it and thus can't guarantee it has no faults. The blockchain is just a ledger of every transaction that has happened. It just needs to log that x amount of coins have gone to address y. It doesn't know when an address was made, just when it was first used (i.e coins sent to it). This is how all crypto currencies work.
