281  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: March 05, 2022, 05:18:44 PM

So who carried out the Chernihiv bombing? Kharkiv? and some other places? was it a ghost that did it? I can't understand how it is possible for someone as shameless as Putin to issue a statement like this and moreover call it propaganda, when it is clear that they carried out the bombing. smh
282  Other / Politics & Society / Re: New Russian vs. West Cold War = End of USD on: March 05, 2022, 04:25:20 PM
As someone from a "non-aligned" country I see the two blocs being equal. But if asked to look further, of course the West has an upper hand against Putin. The most compelling reason is because the Western economy is stronger compared to Russia which is only supported by China and its allies. Sanctions alone don't have much of an impact on this for now, but nevertheless they will be felt in the next few years and it will surely hit the Russian economy. But if they (Russia) use nuclear weapons it will be a different story.
283  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian forces seize huge Ukrainian nuclear plant on: March 05, 2022, 03:37:25 PM
I've read articles on this subject and I think Russia's actions this time have gone insane. Their actions by attacking a vital object like this almost killed millions of people in Europe. There must be further action regarding this Russian action because their actions are beyond human understanding, they have played with millions of human lives.

Putin seized the nuclear power stations and use them to demand NATO withdrawal from Eastern Europe and to stop the delivery of weapons to Ukraine.

If NATO will not comply, he will blow them up.

If so, Putin would be the second Hitler to kill millions of people in Europe. This man has really gone mad, but NATO and its allies are just silent about their actions and only dare to impose sanctions. smh

285  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "Step 1 would be to freeze all U.S. accounts" on: March 04, 2022, 04:33:23 AM
Yes, Russian aggression against Ukraine is intolerable and must be addressed immediately, but this does not mean that Russian crypto accounts should be banned on some popular exchanges. This of course goes against the basic value of cryptocurrencies which is "intervention free". We must understand that the decision of the Russian government has nothing to do with crypto users in that country. I totally agree with the statement from Kraken CEO.
286  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How long ukraine could survive? on: March 03, 2022, 01:05:53 PM
Surely Ukraine will last longer because in that country there are many heroes who are ready to sacrifice their lives to fight Russian aggression. And also international support will continue to flow to Ukraine and this is what gives them encouragement!
287  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where are the guts of NATO & the US? on: March 02, 2022, 02:38:51 PM
The inevitable has happened. Right now, the US and the entirety of NATO are powerless over the actions of Russia. A little mistake would ignite a bigger problem. If the US along with the NATO didn't continually provoke Russia time and time again, they never would've even considered taking over Ukraine. Now that things has come to this, the only better option taht I see is to take steps or create plans that would lessen both the economical and structural damages and the casualties. I hope this time the US considers things more carefully.

I think that they (NATO and US) are not "powerless" against Russia, but they are seeing how things go. They also don't want to make matters more complex, by imposing sanctions that would make Putin even crazier than this. Especially after Putin issued a statement that if any country intervened in their actions, they would see something that had never happened in history, this statement that I think made NATO and the US think twice about wanting to intervene directly. Hopefully the dialogue between Ukraine and Russia in the second session will find a solution to this problem.

290  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Moderna's patented DNA sequence found in Covid. What does this mean? on: March 02, 2022, 05:37:06 AM
There are too many hypotheses behind this Covid-19 virus, but what I believe is that Moderna is not the party that should be responsible for this pandemic. If the reason is that "a piece of code that has been patented by Moderna 3 years before the pandemic" is found in the Covid-19 virus, that is not a strong reason to state that Moderna must be responsible for this pandemic. Until now myself, from the many hypotheses circulating, I still believe that this pandemic is caused by the negligence of China's biological weapons division that caused this virus to come out of their lab. However, this is only a hypothesis, not very strong and needs to be proven further.
291  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine Invasion: Will Sanctions Alone Stop Russia? on: March 01, 2022, 07:42:28 AM
The effect of the sanctions on Russia has started hitting its economy hard. The Russian ruble has lost 30% of its value trading at 100 to the dollar. Economists has warned that Russian economy could shrink by 5%.

Do you think sanctions alone can stop Putin?

Sanctions alone are not enough to stop Russia's invasion of Ukraine. I know that this is a fairly complex issue, but if we look at the broad outline of the Russian invasion, it cannot be tolerated. This issue should be brought to the UN general assembly and vote on Russia and what should be imposed on them and also the President of Ukraine should cancel his intention to join NATO or the European Union.

292  Other / Politics & Society / Re: WW III ? on: March 01, 2022, 05:05:12 AM
I doubt very much that this is the beginning of a WWIII, at most the beginning of another cold war but I don't think it is even that.

It must be clear that a WWIII will soon end with atomic bombs on both sides, and although I do not trust much in any of the leaders involved, I doubt that they are such imbeciles as to kill humanity by playing to see who gets more cocky.

Yes you are right, I also don't think that this is the beginning of world war 3. And also, i think that they are not stupid enough to kill hundreds of millions of people using their nuclear bombs. This is just an ordinary cold war and will be over in the near future.
293  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ukraine president a patriot or a mad man? on: February 28, 2022, 03:41:42 PM
In terms of governing the country he is quite reliable, but when it comes to diplomacy he is an idiot. How could he even think about joining NATO when Russia was next to them? I thought he was so stupid that he thought that by joining NATO their country would become stronger against Russia. When Russia came to attack he sent his citizens to war? smh

295  Other / Politics & Society / Re: First SWIFT, then Bitcoin? on: February 28, 2022, 05:34:54 AM
Most likely the big countries will not block Russia from SWIFT because it will cause a very massive impact for the Russian economy in the long run and it will definitely make matters more complex. So blocking Russia from SWIFT is not a solution for now. Also, the pro-Ukrainian alliance is unlikely to ban Russia for Bitcoin, because it is almost impossible.
296  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Follow Putinīs war of aggression live information and PUBINT on: February 28, 2022, 03:03:47 AM
I mostly see news about Ukraine from news media such as FOX news and several other news media, and even from TikTok, yes TikTok it turns out that there are also many Ukranians who play TikTok and do live and report what their situation is like there. But the platform you recommend is good too, because we can see the map and comments directly. However it seems the PUBINT link you included is a link to Syria.
297  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Stop saying War War War and Pray. on: February 24, 2022, 02:07:52 PM
We can't just pray and hope that war won't happen. All of that would only happen if they, the nation's leaders, could put aside their egos and choose the path of negotiation. Hopefully all these problems can be resolved and the world will return to normal as before.
298  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin's postulates on: February 24, 2022, 07:41:03 AM
This is an endless war, where the Bolsheviks overthrew the Russian Empire and founded the Soviet Union, the Soviet Union collapsed and the Russian Federation emerged, until Putin's ambition to reunite the countries of the former Soviet Union under Russia. We can only hope that Putin's ambitions will not trigger a third world war which will cause massive casualties and huge economic losses.

Putin sees the future and plans to prevent things like war. If he wants war, he would have crossed the borders already.

Back in 2014, Putin already saw the threat when Ukraine people started a coup and install a president that is not Russian friendly such as Zelensky.
We couldn't really say Ukraine has democracy if we look at what this Zelensky did after he won. For one, he shut down the TV channels and imprison his counterpart.
So couldn't really say just as Biden says that he protect Democracy because it's BS.

This is when Russia also claims Crimea which is once theirs in the first place but there is a trade between the two countries which they've settled. Putin will always have plans to protect Russia because he had seen over and over in the entire world how countries fall and are being occupied by the US military. Countless of them. He already sees it that in time US military might also be in their backyard (Ukraine)

He defends his country, I don't think he will claim back the Soviets when the world is fully new and countries are equipped with nukes. I don't think Putin would like to rule a land filled with ashes. Besides China is much stronger economically and in terms of military forces.

Yup, I also know that Putin's actions only want to protect his own domestic interests, he deliberately warns Ukraine not to join the NATO alliance which will disrupt political stability on the borders of Russia and Ukraine. Putin is not stupid to start an open war now, because it could be the beginning of the destruction of Russia, because there will be a lot of sanctions and condemnations from countries in the world. But still his ambition to revive the "Soviet Union" remains, even if it is not possible.
