242  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Question why ukraine dont defend ? on: March 18, 2022, 02:01:32 PM
It would be useless if Ukraine launched missiles at Russia, because they have air defenses which would prevent the missiles from entering Russian territory. And if Ukraine did that, it would be an excuse for Russia to further destroy Ukraine.
243  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Things are getting ugly now. on: March 18, 2022, 04:59:32 AM
Most likely if this issue is not resolved soon then Ukraine will become the second Afghanistan or Syria sooner or later. And of course this will cause Ukrainian citizens to fall into poverty and more and more casualties.
244  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China and taiwan on: March 17, 2022, 02:27:47 PM
Taiwan and China will only go to war if Taiwan fully declares independence from China and completely breaks off relations with Mainland China. And if this happens then the world economy will fall even worse than the Russia-Ukrainian war. Because as we know that many global factories are located in Taiwan and the world's largest chip production is in Taiwan, so if Taiwan goes to war this will disrupt the economy and stability in the region.
245  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UN condeming Genocide in Ukraine Could we See the rise of a Second UN on: March 17, 2022, 10:02:36 AM
Let's bet that the UN will not impose heavy sanctions on Russia regarding their attack on Ukraine. They only dared to give criticism and light sanctions to Russia. And because of this, Russia dared to launch its attacks, because nothing could stop them.

247  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UKVI launches a family scheme for Ukrainian families on: March 16, 2022, 01:15:51 PM
Why prioritize Ukrainians over other citizens? in this world not only Ukraine is in war, why not prioritize the citizens of that country? what causes them to have priority? The President of Ukraine should provide the safest place for his citizens, not busy with business to join Europe or NATO.
248  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Finland on the way to NATO on: March 16, 2022, 08:24:58 AM
The reason the Russians wanted to attack Finland was absurd because they had no problem at all. But there is nothing wrong with Finland taking proactive steps by joining NATO to strengthen their defense.
249  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump's slow moving coup? on: March 16, 2022, 03:46:15 AM
I think if Trump runs as a presidential candidate in the next election he has a much better chance of winning than Biden. He has plenty of "cards" at his disposal to corner Biden and get him a bigger vote in some states.
250  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: March 15, 2022, 02:50:56 PM
U.S. journalist killed by Russian forces in Ukraine. Believe this is the first death of someone from the West in this conflict: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/03/13/world/europe/brent-renaud-irpin.html

Even if the American government knows that their citizens were killed in Ukraine, what can they do but sanction Russia? they can only criticize and give sanctions without doing anything other than that. smh

Don't you know that currently the 2nd strongest military rank in the world is Russia? in terms of weapons and troop numbers, they could invade Europe any time they wanted. Not to mention they have a large arsenal of nuclear bombs and fighter jets, which can be moved at any time. Putin isn't stupid enough to move his troops to Europe or America, but that doesn't mean it's impossible.
253  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Covid is over war is replaced covid on: March 15, 2022, 05:32:33 AM
I recall that more than 2 million people have been quarantined in China because of cases of the new variant of omnicron. So Covid is still popular and I think it will last for a few years.

255  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who will lose in Ukraine? on: March 14, 2022, 12:51:27 PM

Conclusion: Who will lose the fight?

Ukrainian people, who don't care about NATO or Russia. Poor and Middle-class people are suffering from this war who doesn't have any responsibility or wish for this war.

Agree with that, those who do not know at all feel the impact of this war, whether they are in Russia or Ukraine. They are low to middle class people who have to struggle to support their various needs and live in uncertainty. Hopefully in the future this war will end and the two sides can make peace.
256  Other / Politics & Society / Re: We are at the door step of world war 3? on: March 14, 2022, 10:38:16 AM
I don't think that we are going to start a third world war, we are just going back to the time of the cold war it's true. I think today's leaders are not stupid enough to start a war that will cause economic destruction and the loss of millions of people. The issue of Ukraine and Russia is a different matter, and it will not trigger a third world war. But if Russia attacks America, it will definitely trigger a third world war, and I don't think Putin is stupid for doing that.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/mar/05/visa-and-mastercard-will-both-suspend-operations-in-russia

How can 2 parties (US and Ukraine) meet and decide the financial fate of Russia- 146,000,000 people of which 99.99% have nothing to do with the war have to struggle and potentially lose their life savings over something that wasn't their fault.

Sanctions are needed to warn Russia that any of their actions have consequences that they must accept. Moreover sanctions will not kill humans, it will affect the Russian economy, but it will not kill thousands of people like Russia did.
258  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia is still getting funding for the War. on: March 13, 2022, 02:43:21 PM
Plenty economic sanctions have been imposed by the United States against Russia in a bid to suffocate them financially to an extent that they become incapable to fund the war they have started against Ukraine. I don't see these sanctions as completely effective as it so happens that I came across this article about Europe's dependence on the Russian oil, which is about 30%, Germany as well about 11%, the Netherlands (11%), and some Asian countries substantially depend on Russia for energy. So invariably Europe and other countries like Germany, Netherlands and others are still funding the Russian war indirectly even though the United States tries to boycott them.

Russia knows that Europe and the US need them, therefore Russia does not care about the various sanctions imposed by the west on them, because indeed it will not have too significant an impact on their economy for now.

We know that anti-crypto governments are not completely anti-crypto, but they just want to be safe from pressure from world banks and the IMF who really hate financial decentralization like this cryptocurrency.
