Sorry from my side because I had to print my stuff locally and replace original broken parts, but I will consider using GoBrrr next time.
So far my printed parts hold very good, it looks and feels much better than original plastic parts, and I used regular PLA material.
This guy also offered me Nylon material and said that is the best option he has but it was much more expensive than PLA.

No problem, printing local is the way if you have someone available. PLA is surprisingly sturdy in many situations, just in applications that involve lots of heat or direct sunlight it's prone to warping. Never had a problem with PLA fan ducts, I suppose because the airflow cools the duct as well.

As Mopar Mining stated, the original SeedSigner cases are open source, and you can download them directly from github. I will not host those separately, as they are SeedSigner's work and readily available.

Hey! Very sorry for the long wait. I didn't check this thread in a while.

I'm able to print PETG, ABS/ASA (not recommended, though), and various other high-temp materials like nylon. If you want the strongest possible part while still maintaining visual quality, I recommend CarbonFiber infused Nylon (CF-Nylon). Cf-Nylon offers the best layer adhesion and overall stiffness, as well as a high glass transition temperature to withstand heat. But let's assess the perfect material once I have seen the models and know what purpose they're planned for.

And yes, of course I accept custom orders.  Grin

It's possible to choose the color for each of the available enclosures. The buttons and joysticks aren't customizable, as switching colors isn't that easy with resin, button colors vary based on what's in the resin printer and how many buttons are left. I plan to get another resin printer when funds allow, then I can offer to make them available in more colors.

It's easier to disassemble vs. the OpenPill and harder vs the OrangePill because the two parts of the LilPill are holding together much better than the parts from the Orange Pill. But luckily, since one can reach the SD card from outside, there's no need to disasseble the LilPill.

On privacy, there is a privacy policy on the website now, as well as an imprint and a cookie notice. The privacy policy and imprint are a bit hidden and finding them requires a few seconds of patience.

I actually had a customer ask about his data in my shop a few days ago, here is my (copypasted) response:

Your data is in my shops database now, BUT:

•   All Data is being purged from the server in regular intervals.
•   Our BTCpayServer and Node are both self-hosted, so absolutely no third parties can see the correlation between order and transaction.
•   Obviously, since this (gobrrr.me) is a registered company, I’m obliged to keep logs for a few years (7 years here in Austria) -> This is done offline on printed paper.
•   The weakest link for the data is probably the email client, but conveniently, the address used by the BTCpayServer is not sent via mail.
•   The privacy policy can be found here: https://www.gobrrr.me/pp/

Orders will be delayes for a few days, as I'm going on vacation.

Cheers!

Thanks for the suggestion. The pictures will change automatically to the correct picture selected enclosure. I'm a very bad photographer and need to add more and better product pictures of all the enclosures in the different colors before that'll work as intended.

Edit: The LilPill is using less material and saves print time, which is reflected in the pricing.

Hello again!

The SeedSigner kits have been updated and can now be configured to come with any of the available enclosures. The SeedSigner Kit Sale ends with this month as well.

Regarding the price of Pi Zero's, rest assured I will always offer them for the lowest price possible. When I get the chance to bulk buy them at lower prices, I can lower them again. Right now, this is as good as it gets, unfortunately.

Yes, I plan to change the product layout of the kit entirely, so any enclosure can be chosen to go with it, I'll try to add this asap. Also another new case version from @OrangeSurf is in the pipeline as well and will soon be available.

That's a neat solution with the trackballs I didn't yet know of, I will look into this, thanks for the pointer.  Wink

Hello again, hope you are all well!

Good news everyone!  Grin

1. Pi Zero 1.3s are back in stock!

2. The Lil'Pill SeedSigner enclosure including resin printed buttons is now available for purchase. For those who have their own 3D-printers, the files are available in the download section.

3. Seedmint Plates (25x25 & 29x29) are also back in stock, and we now offer a very high quality automatic center punch as well as 3D-printed waterproof enclosures for the plates.

An experimental threaded joystick, which threads on the dreaded "stabby nub" of the SeedSigners Waveshare display, is currently being sent out to testers, one has already confirmed it works as intended. The file is available in our download section, and the resin printed joysticks will be added to every new order. Instructions for installment come with them, but please be aware that you can damage your SeedSigner with it before trying them out.

That's all for now, thank you for reading!

Regarding stock, I'm fortunate enough to still have some in stock from last year. I don't know how long they will last. I found some 2Ws locally with WiFi and ordered a bunch, I plan to remove all of those WiFi chips once I get them. As is it, the Pi situation doesn't look too good, but I do know some are still being made, so not all hope is lost in that regard.
I saw whole procedure and schematics for removing wifi chips from Rpi, and it's not that complicated for anyone with basic soldering knowledge, and I think they are faster than old 1.3 version.
This should help speed up slow booting for operating system that is probably one of the worst things in SeedSigner, but I didn't here feedback from people about this.
Check out this website I found for locating Raspberry Pi devices, it can help locating when seller have them in stock again:
https://rpilocator.com/

I'm not sure if the booting speed can be significantly improved on newer Pi Zeros, could be. I recently tested on Tails OS, where it was comparably slow to start, but I'm not enough of a coder to judge why that might be.
Thanks, I'm aware of rpilocator.com, it's a great too and has helped me out countless timesl! Sadly, many bots and ebay vultures know this as well.

I suppose you mean this guide: https://github.com/DesobedienteTecnologico/rpi_disable_wifi_and_bt_by_hardware

It works really well, once you get the hang of it, can confirm.

Yes, I read that story of a Ukrainian guy who managed to buy a car with bitcoin and get out.

And yes, I agree, unfortunately, this space is riddled with scammers, and it's not going to change anytime soon.

Thanks for your input! It further strengthens my belief that it's in no way wrong to charge fiat in the Bitcoin space, which some may or may not want to make one believe.
You can tell those people who are thinking that you should use exclusively Bitcoin for accepting payments, to try and live their everyday life only using Bitcoin, and see how far they will go like that  Cheesy
I am all for adoption of Bitcoin and adding it as optional payment everywhere, but I would never force people to use only only thing, but rather give them the option to choose.

One small request from me to you, if you can please add .STL files for SeedSigner cases in Download section, or at least post a link to original files, if they are open source.
For closed source special cases some people suggested to add paid .stl files that can be downloaded and printed at home.
I see you currently have only SeedHider and Steuerkreuz Control pad posted there.

Good point. That settles this question for me once and for all. Or, until hyperbitcoinization.  Cheesy

I will add those asap. Good to see someone finally looked at the downloads section.

@MoparMining

I agree, living on bitcoin is hard. Even harder, where strike is not an option, and probably won't be anytime soon. I also ask a lot of businesses if I can pay in bitcoin, but right now, it's far and few in between, if any. I helped two local businesses in accepting bitcoin in their shops, though, we're getting there.

Edit: In the meantime, use these links to the OpenPill and OrangePill downloads on the official SeedSigner GitHub:

https://github.com/SeedSigner/seedsigner/tree/main/enclosures/open_pill
https://github.com/SeedSigner/seedsigner/tree/main/enclosures/orange_pill/print_files

And the "LilPill" you already know:

12  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Gobrrrrrr on: March 26, 2022, 08:53:20 PM
Wow! That is a one great looking case for SeedSigner, it's smaller than original and I like it much more than orange pill case.

I'm printing a few right now, and I've also been in contact with the creator, and he has no problem with me selling the cases. I'll update this thread once they're available in the shop. The best part about this case is the access to the SD card without having to take it apart.

If possible, I'd love to offer more of those cool new cases people have designed, especially the one from @designbtc. But I don't want to profit from other people's open source designs without their consent. I can contact the designers, if they agree I'd be more than happy to offer their cases as well.
You can always print those cases and post a link below to .stl files.
Some people don't have 3dprinters or they are lazy to find local 3d printer shop, so there is nothing bad if they buy them from you.

Yes, of course, that's a very good point.

Honest question to the community, should I just ditch paypal right now on the spot? I'd very much appreciate your opinions.
No, I don't think you should remove option for Paypal payments (even if I am not a fan of PP).
People love to have choice when they want to purchase stuff, and there could always be some issues with other payments methods, for example high fees for Bitcoin.
Better think that some people maybe want to buy SeedSigner with fiat money so they can start using Bitcoin later.
I would want to enable as much payment options as possible, if it was my shop Wink

Thanks for your input! It further strengthens my belief that it's in no way wrong to charge fiat in the Bitcoin space, which some may or may not want to make one believe.

@BobbyCoins

Thanks for the order and the first review in this forum, very much appreciated. That's my new favorite Austrian saying.
And yes, a few of the Alpencoin DIY Kits are still available. More are coming soon, hopefully.

Last but not least, the newest product on GoBrrr.me is a full fledged Bitcoin & Lightning Network node kit including a customizable case and hardware.

Thanks dkbit98, it seemed fitting to make an account for the shop now  Cheesy

If someone has any suggestions or constructive criticism for my shop, I'm always happy to improve, as I'm just at the start of this journey.
When I started building the first few SeedSigners, sourcing the parts wasn't easy at all, and they naturally became cheaper, the more parts I ordered. So it evolved from offering cases only, to what it is now. Every sale supports the SeedSigner development fund, and people seem to appreciate the effort.

The STL for the LilPill is shared here:  "https://twitter.com/_cybernomad/status/1481090392632147970?s=20&t=1VHwbSrEb2fcByd7DI8fMQ".

16  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Gobrrrrrr on: March 22, 2022, 03:49:07 PM
Thanks MoparMining and thank you, Frank, for posting initially, I should have done this sooner!

Order is confirmed, thanks Mark, and yes by all means, all Bitcoiners should run a Node.

I don't see where it's been asked, but yes, I love to do custom designs. You can contact me via the form on the website or via Telegram --> @Patrick_gobrrr

edit 1:

I can't reply this fast because I'm limited to a post per 360secs. Thanks for all the love.

Love the website and the items offered! Does he do custom designed 3d figurines? Would love to make my company logo into a 3D figurine.

edit 2:

There you are! Yes, I'd love to if I can deliver what you desire. I'm better with geometric models than organic modeling, but I have 2 very talented 3d modelers on hand for that!

edit 3:

If you order from us and have special wishes or shipping requirements, the order notes field is there for a reason. We respect opsec, and I'm always happy to help in that regard. Use PGP if you must, the key is on the website.
17  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Gobrrrrrr on: March 22, 2022, 03:24:07 PM
Hi all!

I'm Patrick from GoBTCrrr.me.

Shipping to the US should work now except for SeedSigner Products and SeedMint Plates, please visit the SeedSigner Square Shop if you're interested in ordering those. The plan is to make the SeedSigner as broadly available as possible while supporting the project, which is the reason for this decision.

I know shipping to the US is expensive, I don't profit on shipping and always try to bring the rates down. It's always a trade-off between speed and cost, we can offer DHL Express and Austrian Post priority parcels. DHL really is very fast, with around 7 - 8 days max to the USA, Austrian Post can take from 2 to 4 weeks.

I'll try to come back to this thread regularly in case any questions pop up.

Cheers and keep on stacking!  Grin
