1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How do I create and design simple website? on: March 27, 2024, 01:50:48 PM
I want to create a simple website for my crypto-related startup project. I know the basics of HTML and CSS code, but I've never created a web site before. What I want is a simple but professional looking responsive design with simple navigation.

What do you guys think?
Should I hire a professional website designer for such a website?
What are some recommended website design tools?

Please note, my time spent on this project is not a problem, there are no deadlines.

Creating and designing a simple website involves several steps. Here's a basic guide to get you started:
1. You will have to plan Your Website by determining the aim and objective of your website and make a rough sketch or layout to itemize and consider what content you want to use, include or exclude and how you want to organise or arrange it.
2. You will also have to choose a Website Builder, template and tool that you will use in creation of the website.
3. You must Select a Domain Name that can be memorable and relevant to the name of your website.
4.Choose a Host Provider If you're using a website builder otherwise, you'll need to choose a different hosting provider to store your website files.
5. To design your website you must use the tools provided by your chosen platform to customize the design of your website.
6. Add  your preferred website with contents including text, images, videos, and other media and also sure that your content is well-written, relevant, and engaging.
7. Optimise and Improve your website's visibility in search engines by optimizing your content for relevant keywords, adding meta tags, and ensuring your site to be a mobile free website.
8. Before launching your website, test it on different devices and browsers to ensure that it looks and functions correctly.
9. Once you're satisfied with your website, publish it for the world to see.
10. Promote your website by Sharing it on social media, include it in your email signature, and use other marketing tactics to drive traffic to your site.
Once everything is done you can now freely use and recommend it to the work to see and use...
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countdown to the 4th Bitcoin halving.. what should we expect? on: March 25, 2024, 03:43:47 PM
On halving, we should expect the miners' reward to be reduced by a half. That's what this event is about. We can also expect more media attention on Bitcoin than usual, maybe a few articles about halving. There's no direct correlation between halvings and bull markets because counting whatever happens over the next 1 year or so and attributing that to halving is stretching it. During 2016 halving, the price stayed roughly the same as pre-halving, and the bull market properly hit only at the end of 2017. The 2020 halving was also largely uneventful, with the price really starting to grow in October of the same year. So this time, it will probably also be pretty uneventful.
I don't think it is ok or advisable to invest in it yet if you don't want to loose money or your capital because since Bitcoin has no underlying value but only have a cost to produce
its value by entirely subjecting to demands and dynamics
and only tends to have a positive impact only if further restrictions are made to the supply. So it is advisable to stay put until an assurance is being giving base on it.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Have you met this kind of investors? on: February 10, 2024, 05:49:36 AM
Common quote from Robin Jones Gunn, you may or may not have heard about it, but is "You go alone, you go fast, you go with people, you go far". Have you met anyone who knows about bitcoins, and then you tried to introduce them to this forum to come join this community, but they refused? I like to see what maybe their reasons where.
I am just over relating that quote to bitcoins; do you have the opinion that lone investors who are not members of any kind of forum or community about bitcoins or cryptocurrency can still be very successful investors?
They might be successful too because just as this forum their are more forums that extensively talk about Bitcoin or crypto currency in a whole but just as you said about some people not believing  in progressing or benefiting when they share the information or knowledge with someone else they might just keep it on a low and be gaining much for themselves and by themselves..
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies how do you feel when your post is criticised. on: February 07, 2024, 05:47:44 AM
Before starting this topic so many things have been on my mind because I know how it pains for someone to criticise a write up or a post.

In a forum like this where so many intellects are contributing to a particular discussion there is always a room for criticism and the ability for you as newbie to absorb it as a learning process makes you unique and smart . For me Criticism is a process of learning because when ever I am been criticised I usually seize the opportunity to add more knowledge because I often see it as a corrective measures to widen my horizon .
Furthermore, I would like to respectfully ask the more experienced or well-known members of the forum to tone down their criticism against the less experienced, new members or even the experience members in order to give them the confidence and drive to develop on the forum and influence others by imparting their knowledge about some specific topic or post.

Additionally, I will sincerely advice all the newbies who are quick to anger or discouraged when their post are been criticised to see it as a means of learning and not to react rudely because mistake brings correction .
Furthermore, I would like to encourage new members or those who are not familiar with the forum to not give up when their posts receive criticism. There is a proverb that goes, "Those who do not fall will not know how to stand firmly." This means that if you do not receive correction, you will not be able to write authentically or about topics you are knowledgeable about. Thus, in order to avoid criticism as a novice, simply comprehend what is being stated and decide how you want to respond.
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A piece of advise to everyone. on: January 18, 2024, 06:22:43 AM
Newbies/beginners and senior colleagues too do make this mistake of arguing with people in conversations that are not worth arguing about. Instead of responding to some quote where you were corrected you can just learn and remain silent than make some blind arguments that can lead to more wilder conversation that will either be out of point from the actual discussion.
Most times I see people creating enemies for themselves because they want to prove a point that they know some bull shit.
In this case it will be better to silently research to know more about a topic or discussion than to prove yourself of knowing about it when we have many people that can tell you literary about some topics but will just let it slide if a person make a mistake to prevent creating enemy for them self and I will also like to tell those of us that feels they know everything that there are some individuals in this forum that there knowledge started where yours (those of us feeling they know all) ended but they  will rather inflict help to others to prevent causing conflict, argument or misunderstanding in the forum.

I will advise my fellow beginners to respect some correction and not make arguments just to prove yourself knowledged. instead of arguing you can just learn without quoting them back and blabbing rubbish. even till now some senior colleagues are still arguing with themselves because they feel they have the knowledge which someone is try to inculcate in them.
And please in addition to this, I will also like to advised our seniors or beginners that knows about a particular topic, have some corrections or questions to ask to also know how to ask the question, make a quote or corrections in a way that the original poster or some one that quoted about the topic should be able to understand not to reply a post in an aggressive or ill-mannered way that will leads to a dispute or unnecessary argument that might leads to a discussion that is of point with the original discussion or topic.

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the high fee affecting the rate of adoption of Bitcoin? on: January 05, 2024, 05:39:58 PM
With the recent spike in Bitcoin transaction fee, it's evident that these fluctuations are significantly impacting the adoption rate of Bitcoin. While there has been a temporary reduction in fees, the underlying issues leading to the initial spike remain unresolved, raising concerns about the sustainability of the current fee levels.

Of course the high rate and value of Bitcoin will affect its abduction because many people that have the intention of purchasing or investing in Bitcoin if the person is not too financially strong might not be able to purchase as much Bitcoin as he/she  plans or wanted to but can only be able to purchase or invest in minimum quantity of Bitcoin.

Businesses that once embraced Bitcoin payments may have reconsidered due to elevated transaction fees, opting for alternative payment methods. This shift not only affects merchants but also the perception of Bitcoin's viability for everyday transactions.

Considering how the value of Bitcoin just elevating up and down, it must affect the daily transaction of Bitcoin because many Marchant, investors and intended investor must have to have a rethink on how they transact Bitcoin and lessen the day to day transaction for financial purposes and lose threat of their capital and have to be cautious on how and when to trade.

Personal experiences, like my friend's decision to postpone investing in Bitcoin due to high fees, highlight how potential investors might alter their plans. The longer fees remain a concern, the more likely individuals are to explore other investment options. The extended period of elevated fees has forced many users to seek alternative means for their daily transactions, detracting from Bitcoin's intended role as a practical medium of exchange.

Just also like one of my friend that introduces and thought me all I know  about Bitcoin had to buy an alternative coin that he heard about through another friend on how the coin has been elevating up for days and after which he purchased it, it turns out that the coin started elevating down and down until he decide to sell it, because of how the value of Bitcoin is presently in the market and had to loose a lot of money just as to run away from the elevation of the value of Bitcoin.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Can two clubs owned by one person participate in the Champions League? on: January 04, 2024, 06:09:50 AM
Please I need a confirmation on the information I recently received regarding two clubs owned by the same person not allowed to both participate in the UEFA Champions League which means that one club must have to participate and the other club not allowed to. Furthermore, I've heard that Girona FC and Manchester City are both owned by the same person. If this is the case, I'd like to know your thoughts on which club you would support in reference of the above information.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why do people always play gambling even if they always lose? on: January 03, 2024, 04:19:16 PM
I always hear stories of friends who always lose playing online gambling. I don't know what his purpose to tell his story to me. even it's clear, his story makes him look stupid.

Besides that, in another place, Many young people around to me still play slot gambling even don't have a job and always lose. I wonder where they get the money for deposits? and why they repeat that?. I don't know what the reason reason that doesn't bother them, they should have given up, and changed the game that makes them profitable. if I always lose in the game, I will change the type of game, example If I always lose on a slot, I will change the type of game like sports betting until my capital is back and try the luck again to the slot.

In my own aspect of gambling, when I started, I was always winning games and that made me stick to it but later on I started loosing many of my games but with the hope of winning games at times it made me confidence that gambling is just a contribution and will be giving to me no matter how long I play and that has been making me have hope till date. I believe there will be a time that my contribution would be paid back so that is what give me the hope of hanging on and I believe if I stop playing I will never have the opportunity to pack my contribution.

11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: First buy Bitcoin as a newbie, good way to start. on: January 03, 2024, 06:43:02 AM
I know to lot of people, who may have invested money into the wrong investment platforms outside of Bitcoin but pirade themselves as Bitcoin investment may misunderstand the title of this thread, but that is the truth, and the best way to start your Bitcoin journey.

I use myself as an example, be for I started to acquire knowledge about Bitcoin, I first bought some amount of Bitcoin and held it in my personal wallet, not an exchange wallet, and I had my wallet keys properly saved, and after that, I became more active innthe forum and reading comments and posts and doing other bitcoin related research,  and that made it easy for my to accumulate more bitcoin while studying, and this has helped me in much greater ways and I thought it could help others here, most especially newbies.

So if you have the money to buy some Bitcoin,  why not buy first and thereafter learn along the way and keep practising the few things that you learn, e.g DCA approach, this approachable helped a lot of newbies to be able to have the right mindset and accumulation approach towards bitcoin, and they can accumulate a good amount within a short space of time, and also building a sustainable knowledge that helps you to have a better understanding of the market and to make good analysis.
I don't think it is a good idea for someone to invest or buy Bitcoin when he or she knows nothing or have an idea about it, it is very important for an investor to know a lot about what he or she want to purchase for the purpose of knowing how to tackle any obstacles that come in the future. And also it might be the wrong time to buy Bitcoin because just like any other coins there is a particular time that the price and value of Bitcoin is not stable and can't be predicted when it will add or loose value.. So advisably It is preferable to first understand and make research about Bitcoin before embarking on purchasing or investing in it.

I have being hearing about Bitcoin for a very long time and I really don't know what it entails. I will really appreciate if I can get materials to aid me understand perfectly what it entails!
You are highly welcome to the forum mate. A little I want you to know about this forum is that, in this forum you have to make a research and enquire extensively about the does and don't of the forum to prevent yourself from being blacklisted or being banned.
To prevent being banned or blacklisted you must first read the rules and regulations of the forum and also be very careful not to fall into the hands of scammers in the name of investment or trading of Bitcoin. Once again you are highly welcome to the forum.

My opinion is for anyone who wants to invest or go into Bitcoin business to first understand or find someone to guide and explain deeply for him or she to prevent or lessen loss of money, time or being scammed because even those who are into the business
for long do loose money sometimes and are being scammed too so it will be of anyone's interest not to go into the business without being careful or having knowledge of it.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: July 26, 2023, 09:21:04 PM

we can start the speculations and what will be our favorite teams for next season
obviously Guardiola's team played impressively, barring twists and turns, they remain one of the favorites alongside Real Madrid of course

What do you think about it?

----
the thread will be updated and closed after the end of UCL of course

----

Don't forget that some of the key players who performed exceptionally well and were present last season are no longer with the team, such as Gundogan, who played an excellent midfield role for Manchester City. Before fc Barcelona signed Gundogan, I was criticizing the player until two of my friends who knew him and had seen him play numerous times told me that he is one of the best midfielders they respected and adored, One person even said that Gundogan is superior to Kevin De Bryun, who is widely regarded as one of the best in the world. However, after watching some of his highlights, I was persuaded and developed a strong liking for Gundogan. Therefore, no one can yet predict whether Manchester City would perform like they did or even better than last season.. That is my personal perspective.

16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: July 13, 2023, 05:16:06 AM
Gambling is a game that has an addictive effect. Most people who have joined gambling sites will find it difficult to get out of the gambling circle. It doesn't matter how much you lose at gambling, as long as we still have money, we will continue to gamble

Can you share your first experience playing gambling? and who told you about gambling sites?

I myself know gambling sites from my own friends. I idly and try to deposit. Starting from playing with a little money, after a while I didn't know how much money I had spent playing gambling

My first gambling experience was amazing and fascinating. I made a huge entrance by playing as many games as I could each day and was extremely fortunate to win the majority of my wagers. That gave me the motivation I needed to keep playing the slots until it turned into an addiction, at which point I had to stop.
17  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your favorite subject in school? on: July 12, 2023, 09:46:06 AM
Tell us about your favorite subjects and least favorite subjects.

Anything interesting you learned in school you want to share?

My favorite subject in school at the time was fine art, which I was also strong at. I started sketching when I was in primary two and consistently placed at the top of my class in any courses or exams that involved drawing. My teacher at the time had to encourage me and tell me everything I was doing was the work of an architect because most of my paintings at the time were solely about buildings. She also advised my mother to let me read the course that suits and will make me happy after all these battling. I had an exercise book that I drew on whenever I was less busy and was always being flogged at home to stop until they got tired. So by the grace of God I can proudly say that am a certified Architecture.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Crypto may go wrong for some people on: July 11, 2023, 08:39:42 PM
A friend of mine recently complain to me about how he loses thousands of dollars to crypto after invest in a token. He now said he is quiting crypto and now comparing crypto investing to that of gambling.

Most people hear about crypto and wish to invest in it without the knowledge of how crypto works. It is a good practice for one to learn the do and don't of whatsoever you want to put your money in. Why dealing with crypto as if you are gambling? You need to learn to earn with crypto. You gamble with crypto when you invest without adequate research and knowledge of what token/coin you are investing on.

CONCLUSION
Crypto isn't for lazy people. It involves research and continuous learning. It may look bored if money isn't made in the first few months but will definitely make you smile after months of endurance.
Cryptocurrency trading is superior to gambling but similar to it in such a way that you can never win or make money from gambling because any gains you think you might have made from gambling will be lost in one way or another if you keep gambling. Additionally, these days, there is no real team or club that can guarantee you of winning most of the time; even the big clubs/teams or those that you expect much from will make you lose.
In terms of how gambling and cryptocurrencies are related, someone who is not well-versed in cryptocurrencies is likely to lose even more money than a gambler since they lack the focus and capacity to carry out certain tasks when trading or investing.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do when you have Financial Freedom? on: July 08, 2023, 10:39:54 AM
Economic discussions related to inflation, recession, food crisis, labor crisis, agricultural crisis, war crisis are enough to make our heads hot and we need a little relaxation in this discussion.

so let me bring this discussion a little to one thing that will be fun to discuss and talk about. That is about Financial Freedom.

Well I'm not going to ask whether you already have financial freedom or not. But I'm here to bring our minds to try to imagine ourselves when one day we succeed in achieving Financial Freedom.

Consider yourself already have financial freedom at this time. That is, you already have passive income that continues to flow into your account and into your wallet without the hassle of managing your business. because your business and all your companies are managed by someone you trust to manage it. So you just need to sit back or take a vacation every day while enjoying the flow of money that continues to enter your pocket.

Now my question in such a situation is when you already have financial freedom. then what are you going to do to enjoy your life and enjoy that financial freedom?

---------------
Edited:
I haven't been active in the forums in a few days and was quite surprised that a thread I had created had 6 pages to load. i love to see this thread grow. and I'm glad everyone started pouring out their thoughts regarding their desires when they achieve financial freedom.

Sometimes we have to think about the beauty that we can feel when we one day get the welfare of life, such as having financial freedom. And actually by recalling what we will do in the future when we become successful, it will actually stimulate our spirits and minds to become more active and more enthusiastic to be able to reach our goals more quickly. and this is actually the point of this thread.

Remembering the ultimate goal can trigger a strong desire within us which can make our productivity increase as well.
IF am being privileged of financial freedom I will make sure to engage my self in many financial investments such as investing in cryptocurrencies, coin trading and also might have to seek enquiry/guidance from a friend and a brother who are experts and familiar with cryptocurrency market as well as coin trading to make my investment risk minimum and hopefully have a high rate of gain/profits.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Factors that make Bitcoin determine price of other cryptocurrencies on: July 06, 2023, 05:52:03 PM
Since I am not very familiar with bitcoin and I fell behind for a spell since I was too busy with school, I am making an effort to absorb what I learned while studying it.

I am aware that the value of other coins is affected by the price of bitcoin, which is the first and most well-known cryptocurrency. How and why various cryptocurrencies respond to variations in the price of bitcoin baffles me.
I need clarification on this, kindly.
