Yep, Matt was the most entertaining thing on is forum for a long time. Remember the Christmas Special? I looked around the web recently to see if I could find a copy and it’s nowhere to be found. That friggin guy was hilarious.

I’m CornedBeefHash. There’s still a very few quotes of mine around. This one is mine from the upside down thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=49126.msg588036#msg588036

"That was one fucked up thread back in the day. Even BitcoinPorn was in it."

This forum was much more entertaining in 2011. Pinkiepie would cry if she could see what this forum is today. It’s good that she’s dead.

Yeah, and I'm still laughing today about this thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=45298.0 - linked from this thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=45324.0.

Seriously, guys, you'll piss your pants if it's your first encounter with them.

I found this article in a spanish bitcoin news paper,  you can check some data about the bitconnect case.

enjoy it :

https://noticiasbitcoin.io/2018/01/26/bitconnect-demandado-por-inversores-y-lanzando-una-nueva-ico/

<if the trial were held today>

Lawyer: Mr. Katz, would you be so kind as to inform this court as to why you entered into contract with BitConnect?
Akiva Katz: Certainly. My hope at the time was to get rich off their platform.
Judge: One more outburst by the jury and I'll declare this case a mistrial. NO MORE LAUGHING!!! That also goes to everybody in the courtroom including myself. Proceed, Mr. Katz.
Lawyer: What percentage of the U$200K that you invested in BCC was part of your nest egg at the time?
Akiva Katz: Luckily, only 10%.
Judge: That's it! I can't take it anymore. MISTRIAL!!!
Akiva Katz: But what about my money?
Judge: I'll assume you'll try to recoup your loses via Monetize Coin, albeit I would suggest YuTü.Co.in (YTC).

'Anthony Garley'   got paid $400 for his laser.online video apparently...

Okay, I tracked down the "real" owner of Laser as depicted here: https://youtu.be/kAb3VIaLlFg?t=561

I'm requesting U$20 via ETH for the first person desiring the info. Post your intent which will be taken as binding, then I'll go first and post my findings. Deal?

EDIT: Fuck me! Looks like somebody probably already found him according to the comments, assuming alluding to my findings.

Here's the link to the "real" Laser dude: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/198299189822352908/ (found on my own accord)

Cancelled! Dude, were you worried about my presence in this thread, hence the closure? Seriously, I was a liking your thingy. Fix it and bring it back.

On a side note, let me know if you wanna team up with a legit project, namely see my sig. Depending on your skill sets, I can make it worth your wild.

However, if it ever goes below $5, I'll buy back in.  Wink

what reason would you have to buy in under 5... a scam is a scam right?

Obviously, to minimize his lost, but enough of a lost so to deduct it on next year's taxes in offsetting his gains from ... wait for it ... Monetize Coin.

<okay, I guess I'll use by 20Kth post here>

Dude, do you have any idea what would happen to dude's rectum if conducting such? Me neither, but here's to hopin' it's recorded and uploaded on YouTube for our viewing pleasure.

Still wish I could trade my sM for some CBH to go with my eggs for breakfast this morning.

Meanwhile, +1 sM to Crestington.

Our monitoring systems show that BCC daemons are not stable now. Either BCC network is highly loaded or our servers are overloaded. We are handling it right now and your coins are safe. However, proceeding with withdrawal right now could lead to your transaction being delayed or stuck, until we manually process it, which in the worst case can take up to 4 weeks.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Perform a withdrawal anyway?

Amazingly, those same servers don't seem to have a problem processing all them BCCX orders within minutes each and every day during their venerable ICO.

Aside: One post shy of 20K posts. Who wants it?

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

Sorry I've been kinda busy IRL so limited my Bitcointalk time mostly to laughing at ION and Bitconnect, both truly gawsome projects.

I have now updated the OP of this thread, added the DOJ case, pulled all documents from PACER. maildir - if you're still around check the top links out, might find something interesting.

For example - from the transcript of the plea hearing:

Quote
MS. PEERCE: The reason why I’m requesting this is this is a very -- there’s a lot of press about this case. There are a lot of blogs, there’s a lot of threatening things that have been said about Mr. Garza and his wife including as recently as this morning, some things that were threatening. So I would prefer if possible that his medications not be on the public record.

BTW the threatening thing was Gleb's post here. Then Ms. Peerce proceeded to say that it was GAW victims making those threats. As far as I know Gleb is not a victim, just happens to be trolling here. This probably indicates that Garza and his lawyers won't hesitate to lie trying to elicit empathy during sentencing.

Not a victim, and my though-provocative posts are ONLY perceived as trolling. Rumor has it that some folks enjoy reading my posts on a beautiful Sunday morning armed with fresh cup of java.

Wait, what threatening things did I say? Looks like Ms. Peerce needs to take some medication rectally (see, I'm civil; note the strikethrough).

What next? Josh Garza getting a restraining order on my scammy ass just like Josh Zerlan of BFL did, of which, BTW, was the ONLY judgement pertaining to BFL that was worth a damn, albeit 100% uncalled for - Zerlan fearing for life from a pussy (me) while he hides in his fortress armed with guns a few states away?

I interpreted your posts as a kind gesture to help keep Jessica Garza warm while hubby's in the cooler.

I see what you did there. Since my name is Bruno, I would be her dog. Is Jessica into nipping Chihuahuas or cuddling Mastiffs?

536  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Connect Coin @ connect-coin.com IS A FUCKIN SCAM !!! on: February 01, 2018, 12:39:39 AM
my uncle bought this connect coin in cash in Maharashtra , India . now i know that this coin is actually ahmedabad , gujarat , india based scam .
they just made a website and shows that everything is based in Singapore. this scam operated by scammer named hitesh bulde and his team.
when i google his name there are lots of other fraud complained about his name . basically they are scammers and doing different types of scams for a long time. now we need to report this and collect as much amount as we can . search for hitesh bulde scammer esourcenetwork.co.in scam ..

When we find Hitesh Bulde, we'll waterboard his ass using all the water from Kankaria Lake (which I've had the pleasure of visiting along with the zoo nearby, then had dinner at Hotel Goodnight - no, I didn't just make that up).

Two questions:

1) I passed on two merits, I think that is all the sMerits I have, How can I tell?
               - One to a company that took my complaint/suggestions and ran with it
               - One to a long dead account where a user spent $180 million (future value) in bitcoin to buy a pizza

2) The threads I haunt seem to not have heard about Merit, so, any problems with my signature?

+1 sM

I, for one, see no prob with your sig. Genius!

One question please....
Do you need ten sMerit to rank up from Jr. Member to Member or you need that ten sMerit from Member to next rank?

Thank you.... Just gat confused...

It's Merit not sMerit (sM). If you like this reply, please send me ... Oops! sorry, bud. You don't have any.  Tongue

Here's +1 sM for your thought-provocative post.  Kiss

Now, I'm confused as to how your username - Jr. - was still available.

Speakin' of confusion ...

and this ...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-J1NHzQ1sgc

Thank you for funny video it made my day.... And thank you for the merit, and thank you for the information about sMerit and Merit.

Anyway this rule helps, since I don't have to read anymore 'newbie' thing in the beginner's and help, I read around ten pages and most of the newbies are stating their newbie, how crazy is that? Our rank is already placed just below our names..... I think only blind person is unaware of that???

<replying with my other account>

This is getting too fuckin easy. I'm being rewarded sM in spite of quasi-gaming the system in the official Merit thread of all places. My reply to you echoed two other replies which I was well aware existed but pretended to not see, adding my distinct masala to the reply in hopes of making the community happy, happy, joy, joy.

Serious question in re M and sM: Isn't this Merit thingy creating more shit posts than it supposedly solves, viz. posts of the likes, "Thanks for the sM"?

Tag 1: Past posting performances deserving sM is not indicative of future postings meriting sM or not. Please do your due diligence prior to gifting sM, preferably while sipping a Mountain Dew.

Tag 2: Friends don't let their friends gift sM while drunk.

538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: February 01, 2018, 12:10:25 AM
Apparently BitconnectX is selling out every day again (I haven't checked but heard) so BCC is recovering (I bought at $7 last time):

Yes, just logged in and all sold out again (there's another $13million 260k*$50). Who are all these people seemingly sending half a billion dollars to this 'scam'?

The same people who flocked to exit their BCC holdings thanks to all the ... wait for it ... FUD.

Amazing, ain't it? BitConnect claimed to discontinue their platform due to all the FUD, but supposedly is garnering hundreds of millions for BCCX in spite of the same exact FUD. On top of that, most their prior kowtowers have deleted or abandoned their YouTube channels depicting BCC in a good light, which only concludes that the BCCX Investards are getting messages to act via mental telepathy.

<snip>

lol, he's never going to make it off my ignore list.

People still supporting this are really a special kind of stupid. Remember PayCoin? What kind of memories does it envoke? Is it worth $20 per Coin yet?

This thing is dead in the water, tainted by scam accusations and lawsuits, with no actual use for it.

The only thing keeping this alive is the trolling, and desperate people hoping for it to go up so they can break even. It's true bottom will be about 2-3 months from now at less than 1$ when everyone gets bored of it and posting stops, some special people who own a ton will try to resurrect it but you can never get rid of the taint.

Uncle Stu will more than likely settle. Josh on the other hand will probably get a lengthy sentence as the good old USA treat people whom undertook fraud worse than murders. He would of been better off killing people for their BTC!

Sonny Vleisides of BFL ripped off U$50M from the elderly with his mail-order lottery scam and only received a U$100 fine and three years probation. Josh's crime was for less money with few elderly partaking, and didn't include the US Post Office. Do the math. Then again, I know of a dude serving life in prison without parole for operating a website, the same website associated with the crime of another dude who served a little over a year in a low-security prison, spending all his free time reading books.
