The CBN just increased the exchange rate to reduce importation.  This would definitely have a major effect in prices of goods. Prices of many goods are already on the rise and in this trying times.  The CBN believes that increasing exchange rate and reducing Importation would help.

I know this is a bit of off topic but as long as it relates to our life, its necessary that we talk about it.

For the past two days now, we've read series of news relating to fire outbreak in the country which has resulted in loss of lives and properties. On Monday it was the one at portharcourt Creek Road market water side and just yesterday their is another that has consume the auditorium of the city of David church.  Although the courses of the fire outbreak isn't the same but to be on a safer side, we need to ensure we practice safe act so we don't fall victim of the fire disaster.

We know we can't be careful enough and as Nigeria's that are very religious, we believe that safety if of the lord but practicing basic safety habit can go a long way in protecting us from these disaster.

So here are some basic safety tips to protect yourself from fire outbreak.
1. Prepare for fire outbreak at home: we should have know about the EDITHrule which depict the exit drill at home, it implies that we should create an emergency exit point in our homes so in the case of fire outbreak it would be easier to escape. Don't look everywhere too tight and remove all the keys from your doos such that before going out you have to fund your keys first. You don't want to be unfortunate right?

2. Ensure you check your gas that it is properly in good condition before going to bed.

3. Put off all your electrical appliances before sleeping. We know how our Nepa cam just be flashing in the night anyhow. It might course some minor spark that could lead to fire outbreak.

4. For those that have fuel and other material that can easily cause fire outbreak at home, don't kill yourself before your time, keep your kpo fire far from your house so you won't buy the fuel that you will use in roasting yourself  .

As we are hustling to make ends meet, lets also strive to protect ourselves through these basic means and the ones we are already practicing.

And then you see this which they are a huge institution that really adopting Bitcoin.

That's why I said recently from his interview that he is spreading again FUD so they can buy more cheap Bitcoins.

Lately we've noticed the increase in the value of the dollar over the naira and we know how within a twinkle of an eye it just affect the price of all the commodity in the market. Before I even checked the current price of dollar to naira today, I observed that an additional 50 naira add been added to the normal transport fee in my locality and it didn't take me long before I heard from commuters that the price of dollar is now at 1500 and something naira and you needed to see the kind of talk it is bringing out in the mouth of marketers that are now very angry that it was going to affect the price of their goods and some have even started increasing the price of the goods that they are selling already.

The thing is that if we depended more on our locally manufactured commodities, the price of dollar would have had little or nothing to do with the economic well being of our country but ones the price of dollar increases, every goods in the country suddenly increase in it value and the citizens becomes very frustrated bringing in so many problems in the country.

Hasn't it gotten to the point when we decide to work more on our local businesses so we don't depend on imported goods and get too worried on whatever value the price of dollar reach?

I almost made a bad investment decision today, i was at the verge of investing on a low value market cap altcoin not to mention the name.
 I was just searching for a coin that I can invest a little funds on to hold for the next five years, I had already picked up phone to complete transaction before it occurred to me that I should always make informed decisions, it was then I found out that I was just carried away by the price of the coin ☺️, with this conciousness I decided to do a little research and analysis, I found out that the coin is on a massive decline with a strong double top pattern heading towards the neckline ,which is a strong indication of a future down side move. So in cause of this experience, I learnt a very important lesson , always do an in-depth research and analysis before committing funds to an investment decision.

 

So, I watched a video recently where the guest speaker said, that if he gets the opportunity to advise teens in high school he would tell them not to study economics, and it made me scared because I'm studying economics. So, it was like... ' Did I make the wrong choice or something? '. Moving further in the video, I realized that what he was saying and explaining had already been said by my economics lecturer before.

"Economics is a day-to-day practice and is an easy endeavor made difficult for study reasons", he usually said. Watching the video to the end, I asked myself, "If I had the opportunity to go back in time would I pick another course to study? " And the answer was ..." No". And if I have the opportunity to advise any high school student about courses to choose... I'd say "Economics". The more people learn about even basic economics, the better the economy of countries.

My Naija people, why do some people complain about selling their coin, is it because they can't keep it for a long time again? I believe many people thought this year is the bull run, and before the end of the previous year, you will see many people buying bitcoin because they said the bull run is coming, and no one wants to miss out on the opportunity.

People and experts that where predicting the bull run did not specify the year, so some people who were unaware of it assumed it was this year, and now some people are bored of holding their bitcoin because they are too impatient to keep it for an extended period of time because they just acquired it for the bull run.

Those who do not have a source of income and purchased bitcoin must be more patient in order to achieve their goal, because purchasing the coin and selling it after the price has not increased is equivalent to holding money in a bank and touching it only when necessary, which is not investment.

I believe that anyone who invests in bitcoin and is not unable to be patient will never succeed and will either sell at a loss or receive their funds back without reward. Think before you invest so you don't have to be complaining about the bull run which will come at the right time only when you’re patient enough to wait for it.
