Romano, I see that you added some code related to auxpow (merged mining). Could you please explain the changes you are doing?
As far as I know, auxpow is already fully functional in Viacoin and was added in version 0.10.6.4. Does it need code changes in order to keep working in the next version?

So if my math is right the hard fork / halving will happen in about 35 days ((1971001-1846500)/3600)=34.5. I can't wait to see if markets will react in one way or another...

I think part of the success of a coin is its volume. Volume shows adoption or at least interest in the coin. Low volume coins don't inspire confidence (at least to me) and are way easier to manipulate.

A good PR by the developers is another good factor imo - having them explaining their long term vision and projects for the coin. Even if it's a community projects it needs strong and active lead developers to motivate the community members to do things by themselves as well.

I don't want to be a party pooper but I've watched the charts and orders on Bittrex for several days and I think someone buying his own coins to inflate the volume. Right before a market buy of > 0.3 BTC, a sell order of the same size appears. With only 1 BTC, the equivalent in viacoins, a bit of time (and trading fees) to lose you can add 40/50 BTC of volume without having to buy any new coins in the end since you're buying your own coins.

If we start seeing real buys I'll be more confident but right now you shouldn't jump on conclusions too fast.

Do not forget that viacoin's github history includes all the commits from the Bitcoin repository (which represent more than 99% of the commits in viacoin's repo).

Don't forget that for any VIA sold there's a buyer on the other side. If the price stays around 14k since days this means that a whale finds this price attractive and that he waits for  sellers to dump into his bids to accumulate quietly.
