I do not think that Ethereum is a threat to BTC today. I believe that each of these coins has really excellent prospects in the future. You can use them for profitable and secure transactions, payment for various goods and services. But they are not direct competitors.

The current market corrections are making a better investor, well weeding out the panicky investors that do not do their research. The hype balloon has been pretty deflated lately, making it easier to find legitimate projects to come to the surface. To top it off i don't have to read "when moon! when lambo!" every time i open discord or telegram. I think those are huge benefits.
Indeed, periodic financial adjustments are important for the crypto market itself and investors. It is always better to buy coins in the period of financial correction, when prices remain low, in order to earn money in the future. |

I am very glad that now there is such a cool way to earn money. It seems to me that it is worth considering in order to try to earn as much as possible. I know that bounty is a good solution even when the market is on the decline as well as now.

I have joined in this form in November 2017! Before that, I did not know about Ethereum but I had a group for buy - Sell bitcoin! When my elder brother told about Ethereum and he ordered me to keep an eye on coinmarketcap always! That time Ethereum price was 330 USD and after few days, it went to 290 USD and the ln the bull market was started! But after almost one year, I have to see Ethereum price at 170 USD! I am feeling too much bad. What about you guys?
I am also madly upset because of the cost of cryptocurrencies. I don't think this is the last fall. it is necessary to wait for the lowest possible cost to be bought completely. I think that's the only right thing to do at the moment. |

The cryptocurrency market is very unstable and I think that you will not succeed as quickly and easily as you think. I am sure that Ethereum will grow, but also I am sure that there is no sense to change the two coolest cryptocurrencies for each other. Leave everything as it is and do not suffer

Since Zcash launch, prices have been around the $1000+ mark, however after a few days the price has gone down, and I think that it will continue to do so for the following days until it reaches the total supply of 21 million coins. In my own opinion, Zcash has been overvalued, (considering that there have been privacy oriented altcoins before like Monero) and the fact that Zcash does not enforce anonymity by default (unlike Monero), it makes me wonder whenever Zcash would be a good investment or not. If there is one thing that I don't like about Zcash, is the fact that it is behind a company, as well as having a sort of premine called Founder's reward, which seems kind of fishy to me. Please let me know what do you think about this.  I think this option is really promising coin for further development, profitable investments. Therefore now it is possible to think of perspective investments. Moreover, when the situation on the market begins to stabilize, prices must necessarily go up. |

Like anything it's best to keep records yourself as Exchanges can and do fold and banks may close your accounts, maybe not every little thing, but certainly all fiat transfers in to exchanges, any non-trivial trades & profits/losses, plus expenses if you one day plan to cash out and deposit a decent amount in fiat to a bank in a place where you'd need to declare it as gains or income for tax purposes.
Otoh, thank you for being so transparent with the community, it is much appreciated. Your story is fascinating. If I may ask you two questions: 1/ Are you still buying viacoins at this price? 2/ At which market capitalization do you think VIA could be in a year from now? |

why is everyone so optimistic here? And who si romano, how do you know he is so good? in any case, bought some. I like the positivity here. Romano is working very hard on Viacoin, updating us with his progress almost on a daily basis (on btctalk, Twitter and Telegram). He is active on GitHub and GitLab working on Viacoin Core 0.13.2.1 with some other developers. As a proof he gave me yesterday the current source code of Viacoin Core 0.13.2.1 (which includes segwit and merged mining) and I was able to compile, run and test it fine. I tried syncing a full node and doing transactions, everything worked smoothly. Also one important thing is that Romano is not rushing any release, he could have released 0.13 with segwit several weeks ago but he prefers to perform any and every test he can think of, to make sure that the release will be perfect. As a software engineer I can tell you this is a really important metric when gauging the skill of a developer. We'll get to 10k and beyond in no time, I have no doubts about it. |

Thank you for opening a new announcement. I think it's an important step for people to understand that the development team has totally changed. As far as I know, Romano is a very competent developer and is already over delivering on fixes and features. He also helps other coins developers on fixing issues in their own coins. I have myself downloaded and tested the Viacoin Core 0.13.2.1 wallet and node (still in development), and it seems to work really well. I can't wait for the segwit release. I'm a long term Viacoin investor and believer (I invested in the initial ICO in early 2014), and I strongly believe that it is currently greatly undervalued at a $1M market cap. I am buying more coins under 5k satoshis. |
