No, I think they are really trying to make this thing work.
But actually behind this whole idea is another group of people with some knowledge about crypto, not these cofunders with officies in Crystal palace.
I am now following this thing for some time and what I do not like here is that they make to big promises. And also that they are trying to make impression like they are much bigger, like they actualy are. I do not think that this group of people is capable of make this promises true. I think their goal is to reach tier one (2 mio), everything else is not realistic. But this is going to be just somekind of app.
But I am sure mr. Urban will log in any minute and give you again some revolutionary news...

First of all - building on the picture is not your HQ, but your HQ is in this building, actualy two officies in this building - do you understand the difference?
And second - if I put on the picture one building and call it my HQ, but in reality I have just two officies in this building and I tell this to someone on whom I want to make great impression, would you call this honest information...?
Sorry, but this tells a lot about your project and thinking. You want to have your own bank, but in reality you do not have even app yet.
P.S. If I have a flat in apartment building, I can call it my home, but I will not send picture of this building to someone, and tell him, THIS is my home. I will tell him, I have apartment in this building.

That's a very good approach, Jure. This is one of the reasons to propose "the water of crypto" slogan.  Soon I'll try to join as well and support financially these initiatives. Next April (I believe) should be also the 3rd CoinFestUK, which is organized by Adam (batesresearch). Providing ARCO water for such events can bring a lot of awareness to the coin. By having 0 reward on POS , it will discourage people to hold the coin. Then it will be dumped in the market and the price will spiral downward.
It will disscourage them to stake it. Hodl you can do on offline wallet or exchange. |

Proof of Work:
- NO PREMINE
- 0 REWARD until height 500 (approx 3 days, to avoid lowdiff instamine and to allow everyone to get ready)
- After block 499, reward is 50 COINS.
- Halving every 4-8 years (every 420480 blocks, see below for explantion why it is not exact when the halving happens)
Proof of Stake:
- NO REWARD, ONLY TRANSACTION FEES
- A Stake will occur ONLY IF there is a transaction in the mempool that is paying the fee
Because of unique reward structure - "no reward pos blocks", the total amount is not exact:
Case A: Nobody makes a single transaction in the entire liftime of the network, meaning all the blocks were PoW, creating rewards along the way, making the total supply 42 milion.
Case B: There is always a transaction in the mempool, keeping the average block time at 5 minutes, blocks are distributed 50:50 between PoW:PoS, totaling the supply at around 21 milion.
Case C: Things balance somewhere in between, the total supply is still predictable in the medium term <<<--- Most likely scenario
The idea behind the reward structure:
- PoW miners get payed by the network for spending energy and securing the network
- PoS miners (stakers) get payed by people using the network (paying transactions fees) in the begining that is practically zero, but the expenses of running a full node while the network is young is also close to zero (incentive to run a full node grows as the network grows or more accurately, when transaction volume grows)
- Long term competition develops in the fee market between the miners and stakers, pushing the price of fees downwards for the users.
Since this type of PoS reward sheme i never saw before this coin cought my eye i guess it needs to pass the test of time first before we jump to conclusions. |

How to solo mine?
Only via wallet setgenerate command. But since there are GPUs on the pools i dont think its worth the while. But hey you can try just dont do it on a poorly cooled laptop or something like that. |

Dear BitcoinTalk community please understand that this still is s community based project launched initally by an unknow developer that is now gone in the wind. Who knows maybe it was satoshi himself going by the nickname KimBasinger. I dont know who he/she is and there is no reply from him/her. Myself and @krile simply said along the line (check thread link at the end of this post) that we will help rebrand it from the ponzi onecoin name to pure OC as there is no hope for that coinname in true cryptoland. We are not commiting fully to this project. We will help out when time allows but we are not here to manage the community or to make this a sucsessfull cryptocurrency. There was no ICO, no premine, no fundraising. Maintaining and developing a coin, getting it listed on exchanges, building service layers is a costly and time consuming venture. If you feel like showing support or fund some work you are free to do so (check end of OP for OC and BTC donation address), To summarize there are no bounties, no marketing bounties, there is no premine of the OC to incentivize community so dont PM me or @krile for translation job , if you wanna translate the thread you can do so freely but there is no translation bounties. If you wanna get involved you are free to do so, you dont need anyones permission.
