Forget gun control, we need bullet control.

Decided to jump in a bit deeper. Will the unsold coins be burnt after the crowdfunding is over?

I just realised that it was not mentioned in the thread, assumed without thinking they will be burned as it is the only thing that makes sense. Good question deluxeCITY. OP please answer this important question?

Read carefully. In the 7th paragraph of the OP it specifically states unsold coins will be ground into unicorn dust and sold in small vials as potency enhancements via bitcoin only vending machines in the metropolitan tokyo subway system.

Just amazes me how people do not take the time to read the OP.

You're a funny dude man but im still waiting on official word from the devs or from ccex.

What is a master node?

In exchange for having a certain amount of collateral in your wallet, you can set up a masternode that gets a share of the reward, every time a block is found. In this case, the share would be 75% of the reward. In return, your masternode should do something called coin mixing. It will also help with processing dark send and instant tx transactions. Masternodes actually do this function with Dash.  Furthermore, unless Masternodes are enforced, there is a way someone can bypass this and have a wallet that does not pay to Masternodes. It appears many of the masternode plus POS 2.0 clones do not do this function properly, from what I can determine. Could be wrong....I'm probably not going to be involved in this coin unless the Masternodes actually do what they are supposed to and are enforced like in Dash.  Of course, over 1.3 BTC needed to get a Masternode is a big investment. Probably out of my price range anyway.

I still dont understand the need for a masternode or what it really does for the coin. Does it help to secure the network or is it just a giant mixer?

Others feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but above and beyond the large staking master nodes ensure a stable and "always on" situation for the network. This is especially essential in this sort of project, where apparently users will be able to choose to have their outgoing transactions vetted by the network as an extra precaution against hacks. If you are doing that sort of thing, you want a very robust network.

So it does work to make the blockchian stronger?

46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BOTCOIN (BOT) "The People's Bot!" Presale SOLD OUT! Download Botzilla Now! on: September 10, 2015, 02:33:09 AM
Update

As everyone is most likely aware, someone posted a method to «bypass» the BOT wallet 100 coin requirement and access Botzilla.

As many community members immediately pointed out, all this “bypass” did was to open the bot panel. This is possible for anyone to do by accessing the bot through the local host.  However no botting is possible.

In analyzing the situation we have identified an additional layer of security that we want to install in the Botzilla platform. This will require several days of work.  We know everyone is excited about the Botzilla and wants to continue using it during this time, so we have decide upon the following procedure – which will allow everyone to continue staking and botting while we make the desired   changes.

1)   Anyone who does not want to operate the bot can simply continue staking with the current wallet and earn the large DPOS rewards. Download the new wallet when it is ready.
2)   Those who wish to bot during the interim period:
           -   Download the new wallet from the link in the OP
           -   Make sure you have 100 coins in your CCEX account. This will keep your bot enabled.

That’s it!

Please note: these changes are effective immediately.

We appreciate the tremendous community support within this coin. And we look forward to all the good things coming with Botzilla  - The People’s Bot!

This needs to be posted on ever page a few times so it doesn't get lost.

We will not lose you  :DD

Never !

For people who don't want to crawl in the thread  Smiley

Just doing my part.

It's official. I sold all my circ. Going to catch the next train to botcoin town and hang out there for a while. I'm confident that i'll be back when the hype comes back to circ but for now the hype is on botcoin and I'd have to be retarded not to be following that train around town.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CryptoCircuits (CIRC) | Johnny 5 Bot Now Live V2 RhinoHunter Soon Released on: September 05, 2015, 01:43:49 AM
My god. What happened to circ? I went away on vacation for a few weeks and this is what I come back to?
Anyone care to fill me in. I've no time to ready 40+ pages right now and im tripping because of all the profit I could have had. If I sell now I'll only make a few k sat each coin.
I'm an idiot.

 Grin At myself.

Where are the trolls now?

I'm still around and i don't get how you can still declare victory when the price actually went down and the buy wall at 18k was removed  Huh

Don't forget the fact that the sell order have started piling up.

Next time, declare your victory when the price return to 40k.

You're retarded mate. The price has gone sideways for the better part of the last 3 days, it had not dropped below 20K which I need to remind you is still 4x from the ico ask. And let's not be hasty and forget that the bot is still in beta and all the beta testers bought in when 80K coins were needed for the bot. Today its only 35K needed.  If you expect all us long term holders to rush to market and buy more coins because the bot is being beta tested then you'll be surely mistaken. Its you and and the other trolls who will set of the next climb. Not us.

So continue trolling all you want but every time you open your mouth expect for one of us to set you straight.

I am being patient. I'm in no rush. I've been using qtl so its not like im botless. I would however love to get my hands on johnny5 so I can sell my qtl and delete this crap bot.

Hi Everyone

Just a quick update on a few things surrounding the beta release of the bot.The beta testers have now all gotten emails with instructions on how to download and install the Johnny 5 beta testing version. We will begin a compete wave of testing once all participants are ready to go. We will have a dedicated google spreadsheet system for reporting and recording any bugs found. Those of you who have volunteered for the testing round, please free up the time required during the next 48 hrs. If for any reason this is a problem please let us know and we will switch to another tester on your platform.

We are currently working on the Mac build and expect to have that done during the next 24 hrs.

We'd like to thank the community for all the great support during this development phase. One benefit of having such a supportive community is that when we do go through intensive development phases such as this, we are able to work relatively undisturbed, and in that creative space, solutions emerge that have broader applications. In particular, during these past three days the work we did on securing the bot in tandem with the unlocking panel system has opened several new doors for us.  Without disclosing too much detail, we have found a different way of securing access to the various panels that will be triggered by association with defined user groups, as opposed to staking levels.  This will give us enormous flexibility in the weeks and months to come with a number of our upcoming features.

We expect the beta testing to go smoothly. We have done exhaustive testing for well over a week now and the specific remaining issues are mainly known. Thanks to the beta testers for dedicating their time, and we'll be updating everyone both here on the thread and in the Lounges as their feedback comes in.

This was the update I have been waiting for. Do we have an expected time when the bot will be released to the public?
