I think it would probably be a pretty good idea to use escrow if you are considering to deal with the OP.
Escrow is accepted!

Any trusted escrow will tell the admins the name of the account being sold, and it will be removed really quickly from default trust.

So the only choice is trust OP and pray that no one discover you, in the very unlikely event of he delivering the account and it really being from default trust
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How greedy you are ? on: June 06, 2015, 07:35:00 AM
The only winners are the people that don't gamble.

And people who gamble with an edge

Quote
People who gamble should always be aware that what they're doing isn't a long term money maker.

Thanks, i will keep that in mind ('gambling' for a living since 2006)

Very few people can win in the long run. For each that manages to do it, 1000 others ruin themselves by being too greedy.

And even big winner may lose everything by bad luck, and then what?
104  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: if I disconnect my pc will my BTC be safe on: June 06, 2015, 07:26:18 AM
if your pc is clean being connected or not will not make any difference, if you knwo that your pc is infected(usually something wrong happen in this case, like cpu usage too high, strange filename ecc...) then it is better to move your wallet in another storage(offline is better)

my point is that you can have a online safe computer, in my case i have a wallet that it is always online with some btc, no one has stole those bitcoin from my desktop ever, they are still here

it is just a matter of dealing well with security

the thing that i wanna say that if anyone has physical access to your pc/laptop then the scene can be different..
its better to keep your wallet in offline in some portable hard drives.

or you can write your private keys in some place that no one would expect to find them, so they would not be subject to hardware failures
105  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: June 05, 2015, 01:12:45 AM
If you want to think about realistic prices, first think about the mining subsidy (currently 3600 coins created per day). Then compare the subsidy's USD value to the size of the bitcoin economy and demand for bitcoin.

3600 * 235 = $846,000

846,000 seems like a reasonably small number compared to the total trade volume.

When people start talking about $20,000 bitcoin valuations, even in the next reward era where 1800 coins are created per day, you have to wonder if they've done the math.

1800 * 20,000 = $36,000,000 per day bitcoin mining industry. How large does the bitcoin economy have to be where $36,000,000 (daily) is a reasonably small number compared to it?

I'm settling into the view that we need to wait several more halvings before such valuations are possible to be maintained. (Of course, a brief spike can go unimaginably high)

Are you also adding the lost coins, and scam coins as well?

Cause that also effects the price toll on bitcoin, since those coins cant be mined or found again.

Scam coins are not lost coins, the scammers dump them on btc-e or somewhere else. People usually scam to earn money, if they couldn't spend, they would not scam.

And I doubt that anything near 25 btc/day is lost or destroyed.

So I guess the net effect is low

106  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let the dumping begin... on: June 05, 2015, 12:57:47 AM
For the past week we've seen a lot btc shifting towards unknown addresses and exchange addresses, the sell walls seem to be growing and overall pressure is becoming critical.
We could be looking at a 25% drop this upcoming week.

Quoting to laugh at you when we see another of a prediction of yours failing
107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 05, 2015, 12:53:47 AM
What and why major dump is coming ?

Could someone kindly answer me as I hate being fooled when everybody is understanding what is going on.

Thanks.

FUD about the new bitcoin update about block size, among other things, and people prefer stay in fiat if possible
108  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTS] **Member account** on: June 05, 2015, 12:51:35 AM
Sooo does the account have green trust?

And any negative feedback from people that might be promoted to default trust, like Quickseller?

It is not about HD space, it is about "what?? you can halt and fork the whole thing while i am sleeping and next morning am on the worthless losing fork? WTF!".

The new version of the basic software will be deployed now, but the max block size increase and the fork will only happen after a scheduled block number, to be mined at least 6 months from now.  So there would be plenty of time for people to upgrade (if they want to) and the fork time will be known in advance, except for the variation in block mining time.

After the hard fork, you will automatiall have the same amount of bitcoins in both chains.  Hopefully a consensus would have been reached before that time so one of the clones will be worthles and unusable for lack of miners, and "bitcoin" will be the other clone.  In the unlikely chance that both versions survive, if you have the privatekeys you will be able to move or sell each clone independently by using the proper version of the software.

Sad.

I was making plans about what to do with the money I would earn by doublespending my coins, like happened to some people in march, 2013, but looks like they are doing everything to prevent it Sad

The bid war was really fun in the first auction.

But now I think the most possessive people are happy and we won't see a bid war again.

How many Doges do you have?

I might be interested if you have the correct quantity and depending of your asking price
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else selling their bags yet? on: May 28, 2015, 07:09:20 PM
I own some of this worthless coins too. My strategy is to transfer them to an exchange and set a selling price of about 50%-100% highter to the current price. If a pump occurs the coins will be sold automatically. This worked fine with my Mintcoin stake  Grin

and what happens if your coin slowly declines towards 0 until its market get removed from exchange before you can even see what happened?
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What products/services do you buy or would buy with altcoin? on: May 28, 2015, 07:01:40 PM
I'm so tired of all the complains that people says about altcoin. I'm really upset! So let's use that energy for something useful.

Coins become currency when they are used for real stuff, a.k.a: buy/sell products and/or services. Then, why don't you just tell us what would you like to buy.

NOTE: This thread is to request services/product, not to promote the excisting ones. Thanks!

cartoon porn

there is some kinda stigma attached to fans of cartoon porn so if there was a coin i could use to discreetly purchase this kind of contraband id be all in

you can buy cartoom porn with BTC, if you find a seller willing to sell them for crypto.

Altcoins might be good to day to day purchases, because of lower transaction fees and less confirmation time.

But the volatility is too big and few places accept BTC, so almost none accept altcoins
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 28, 2015, 06:56:52 PM
Monero attracts all kinds of people around it. We even had a self-confessed bankster agent joining our nightlife in Berlin! Think about that for a moment Smiley

Even Nazis.  Wink

Even criminals and KGB agents.
