202  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.93 testing release! (with 0.05 BTC bug bounty) on: February 10, 2015, 11:50:23 PM
Just installed it there yesterday, a few minutes for bitcoin to sync to network for the fortnight i've been away, and then less than 2 hours for it to scan and build the db's to be online. very nice!!! also, i then imported three wallets, and really like the way the percentage queues and goes through them. These only took a relatively small time, less than an hour to scan three wallets.

Sooooooo much better than old version, and makes this a lot more bearable for new users. Well done goatpig etc!!!

hi all,

thanks for posting, I'll get these updated in the next few days, I'm preening a few dry ones now, and have to get dedicated pages set up for faucetbox as well.

Cheers

Hi there,

I maintain as part of my site http://bitcoinsinireland.com/verified-list-of-bitcoin-faucets-earn-free-btc/

I don't run a faucet myself, but instead am listing all the ones which I can verify as working for my readers, and the earnings go into reviews of bitcoin service providers, exchanges and other service providers.

It's more about making sure that people do what they say, and I regularly check that they're staying paying out. So if you want on the list which I'm doing a major review and re-ranking of this week, get in touch!

Cheers

Hi guys,

I wrote http://bitcoinsinireland.com/like-buses-two-irish-bitcoin-stories-come-at-once/ but I'll give the jist here.

January has been a good time for bitcoin in Dublin. Busyfeet and Coco cafe in Dublin now how's the second bitcoin atm in the city, giving us access on both sides of the city now. But more importantly, for people coming to Ireland with bitcoin, there's a place you can have food and drinks, as well as a friendly atmosphere.

Secondly, Bitcoin Dublin are doing a meetup on the 28th January in the aforementioned venue from 6.30

And GSM Solutions, who were the first to bring bitcoin atm's to Ireland are running a promotion to give a free 0.0005 bitcoin to people in Ireland, either walking in, or paying a penny to get it posted out. Info is at http://www.gsmsolutions.ie/bitcoin/

So good to see that there's more progress here!

Cheers

Jamie

Just finished scanning after another two days, and there's a big gap for some reason.

rebooted and it's going through things again :/ scanning's taking forever, so i'm going to roll back to the stable build. once the next build comes out with db improvements, i'll try again.

hi there,

i can't see a bitcoin address either, but would like to edit some of the general pages as there's a lot of obsolete information, and also to be able to edit or create some pages for the irish bitcoin scene.

Thanks!

213  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.93 testing release! (with 0.05 BTC bug bounty) on: January 15, 2015, 09:43:10 PM
yep, i will when it finishes again

btw, i can't get into the import wallet screen any more when the blockchain is loading, was that a bugfix?
214  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.93 testing release! (with 0.05 BTC bug bounty) on: January 15, 2015, 07:05:47 PM
cool, i'll uninstall and delete everything again armory related, and try again, lets see how long it takes from now to build

bitcoin was kept as is, so it loaded up, synced the few blocks quickly, now, quickly scanning through block headers, 50% done in a few minutes
215  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.93 testing release! (with 0.05 BTC bug bounty) on: January 15, 2015, 05:26:38 PM

216  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.93 testing release! (with 0.05 BTC bug bounty) on: January 14, 2015, 10:33:48 PM
I hadn't used my computer today, but this evening switched it on and tried to get armory up and running. Went through everything else fairly quickly, but now stuck for the last half hour like this :/

217  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.93 testing release! (with 0.05 BTC bug bounty) on: January 14, 2015, 12:08:01 AM
is this build supposed to let you send a transaction without the fee?

Up to now, it always forced me to put in 0.0001, but in this build, I can send zero fee transactions.
218  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.93 testing release! (with 0.05 BTC bug bounty) on: January 13, 2015, 11:26:22 PM
This time, if in web properties, and you click send bitcoin, and then add in different users, but put in blank or wrong messages, it pops up a number instead of an error message, based on how many addresses you have. It's linked to bug 3 from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=919202.msg10105064#msg10105064

219  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.93 testing release! (with 0.05 BTC bug bounty) on: January 13, 2015, 10:29:58 PM
Right, now for some more bugs

sortable headers in transactions screen do nothing. I click them and the arrow changes, but nothing moves

something weird is also happening with the balance column in wallet settings

When default size the balance column centers weird

Then when you shrink the screen, it jumps over the place

220  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory 0.93 testing release! (with 0.05 BTC bug bounty) on: January 13, 2015, 10:11:14 PM
come on armory, you can do it  Roll Eyes

Right, that finished

It then started on this block

and it's currently on block

So 96 blocks behind, which is about when I restarted things after changing the pagefile.

I'll see if it now syncs up to the current block on it's own. Yep, after a few minutes it did find the next block and now it's up to date.
