I hope there will be live video coverage  Cheesy And i mean a decent one!

It's undecided yet, we are leaning towards releasing polished edited videos asap after the event.  If we get some donations for a live feed then it would definitely help.

feel free to make a donation.

I filled out the registration form.

Would expect some kind of email or payment instructions... nothing since 2 days.

What's up with that?

Found an interesting graph that might apply to bitcoin.

Hopefully we are in the slope of enlightenment.

68  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: EUROPEAN BITCOIN CONFERENCE 2011, PRAGUE NOV 25-27 on: November 10, 2011, 10:10:29 AM
How can I know that I have a valid ticket reservation? I have some 5 mails from you starting with "Dear Conference Registrants," but somehow not having payed feels like it's only a reservation valid until yesterday. If things are all set and clear, I wouldn't mind paying asap getting rid of this maybe-feeling.

We will be sending an email out with payment instructions today for people that have registered.  If you havent registered please go to the site now and do so http://conference.bitgroups.org/
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Subsidised Tickets for the European Bitcoin Conference on: November 10, 2011, 07:39:22 AM
Tickets are now 75€, you can register at our site http://conference.bitgroups.org/
I have registered with your registration form but will pay registration ticket at the conference registration desk in CITY Conference Center or Panorama Hotel.

Hi Becoin,

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee anything until payment is received.
To avoid disappointment i would suggest paying prior to booking hotels and travel.

72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Subsidised Tickets for the European Bitcoin Conference on: November 09, 2011, 11:13:10 AM
Hi Guys,

We have a major sponsor and we can now offer reduced ticket prices.

Tickets are now 75€, you can register at our site http://conference.bitgroups.org/
Those that have paid will receive a refund please be patient while we process them.

The sponsor is developing an open source project that gives you ownership of your data.  They aren't ready to launch yet but we will make an announcement as soon as they.

We visited the venues in Prague last week and everything is looking good.

73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Casascius coins pledge for European Bitcoin Conference on: November 08, 2011, 11:48:34 PM
I think they are pretty cool and I would like to incorporate them into the conference as some kind of prize.

The numbers are starting to heat up now but ill make my pledge at the last possible moment once i know what i have to work with.
When is the last possible moment by the way?, I guess they will be 1BTC coins.

We also have some big news tomorrow about the conference, it's not as big like a conference in Pattaya big but its significant

Free ticket to cascasius if you can make it to prague for coming up with such a clever novelty, physical, promotional, cool, souvenir.
74  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: EUROPEAN BITCOIN CONFERENCE 2011, PRAGUE NOV 25-27 on: November 06, 2011, 01:57:23 PM
CIA, FBI, Taliban and wikileaks will be there.

Wikileaks are the only ones that have announced their intention though.
Julian Assange may be doing a pre recorded talk and they have offered their spokesperson also.

75  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: EUROPEAN BITCOIN CONFERENCE 2011, PRAGUE NOV 25-27 on: November 04, 2011, 10:45:23 AM

Update: New speaker confirmed and we just about have a full line up.  We are heading over to Prague today to make sure everything runs smoothly, if you are in the neighbourhood get in touch.

New Speaker: Cameron Garnham

Cameron Garnham is a partner at TiguSoft.pl a company focused on
bringing Open Transactions infrastructure to the bitcoin economy. He
passionately believes that the centralisation of the banking and
financial industry is a key reason for its ongoing failure.
Cameron is an experienced advocate for technological solutions such as
Open Transactions and Bitcoin, which enable people to be in control of
their own finances.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Foundation on: October 25, 2011, 08:46:33 PM
It's an excellent idea.

Here is a few ideas to compliment;

Marketing or image management might be something the foundation looks after too.
Possibly a logo "official bitcoin network member" or something of that nature,  to use this logo might cost xBTC/year and need to have the confidence of the circle of people running the show to use the logo on your site.
If the foundation can create value for commercial developers it may be able to make money to run itself properly, funds are going to be a challenge.

other thoughts
Would it be registered somewhere, if so where would that be?
I guess there would need to be a constitution of some kind, how would people be appointed to run this foundation?
Looking through the forum recently a vote might not be the best idea.

I would suggest a trusted influential member of the community, ie Gavin would have to take expressions of interest and appoint some people to start brainstorming.
