I'm on board with Sprouts too. Just bought a bunch of them off of Cryptopia and now staking away.  Would love to hear more from the dev in this thread. Maybe a weekly status update would be great, or just a 'hey how are you guys?'. I'm getting my friends on board with Sprouts too. I believe it's a golden opportunity to get in early while the coin is still relatively cheap (although price has been rising steadily over the last few days) before it shoots through the roof. I agree, definitely a good buying opportunity right now. |

I say, if we can't get Sprouts onto a high volume exchange, we bring the volume to the exchange. Hex is a great guy. The chat is a nice place to be compared to other chat rooms.
We can make sure that the chat room is helpful to noobs. Make sprouts the Crown Jewl for Cryptopia. Make Sprouts what puts Cryptopia on the map.
Right now there are no fees. What a great way to start out a new coin.

I updated the wallet. It is stuck at block 10002 84.76% done. How do I resync the entire block chain? Do I have to delete a file or something? Or is there a command I am supposed to execute? Thanks.

I don't know about you guys, but I've been riding the Tek rebound wave, getting regular 13% on my trades. Its sweet. I cant keep mine out of my wallet long enough to trade. STAKE BABY! LOL I don't know another wallet that can stake half as well as this one. On time and multiple simultaneous stakes like a beast. Did new guy just quote himself and then comment on his own laughter? ^^^ Anyway yeah...TeK is a steady stream of staking goodness. Sanity is optional. |

1. After 60 days, your coins will continue to gain weight... After 90 days, they stop, so everything else being equal (such as PoS difficulty), you won't get any larger stake by waiting any longer 2. The weight affects how quickly your coins will stake. The larger the amount per block (i.e. the more weight it has), the sooner it will stake, so it makes sense to combine smaller blocks by sending them to yourself in a single larger block. (If everyone combines their TEK into larger blocks, it will also have the added benefit of reducing the PoS difficulty, which will increase the overall interest rate...) So does it make the stake larger? or it only speeds up the payout when wallet is open? thank you Increasing the value of the block will make it stake quicker - single-handedly it won't increase the interest percentage. That is affected by the number of wallets staking at the same time - more wallets staking means an increase in PoS difficulty and therefore a decrease in interest rate. (It's how TEK handles the inflation caused by more coins becoming available) I think 30 days is a stake period, regardless of the block size. Well done explanation. Thank you for sharing. |

Also it is not good that bigger wallet can affect everyone.. then its richer are getting richer? but smaller holders get their TEK devaluated
we cant have the situation when some Exchange can manipulate the price of our coin just by locking\unlocking its wallet for POstake...

That's life. The rich always get richer. It is unfortunate to have an exchange staking... Well!! Our little crypto-coin experiment shows that all of this is wrong and can be fixed! Raising compound APY back up to 7400% isn't going to increase equality amongst TekCoin holders. The rich will continue to get richer...probably even faster as the "poor" dump their rapidly growing interest payments and the rich continue to pile up more Tek. In the fiat world equity disparity is often the result of a corrupt monetary system and bribed government officials. That is not the issue with TekCoin. The rich are getting richer here because they got in earlier(IOW risked capital sooner) and/or held longer. Neither of which is a good reason to "punish the rich". These are the folks that have been protecting the TekCoin blockchain before many ever heard of TekCoin. They're not villians, they're early adopters. Tek is on a nice steady incline in market cap, why mess with it? Don't be like goobermint mucking around trying to fix stuff. The inflation controls are doing what they were intended to do. Compound APY is still over 500%. Suggest you not fix what ain't broken. As to the issue of Cryptsy staking coins(if they are) I am 100% opposed...but then I don't understand people that leave high interest POS coins on exchanges anyway. Makes no sense whatsoever. Keep your coins in your own wallet and it won't be an issue. great post, definitely a risk of making things worse overall with any changes. We are coming up on 2 years old Tek birthday and things are going great for 2015 we must tread carefully. I'm a late comer to this coin. I never felt like I was going to be taken advantage of by "the rich". If anything I was hoping they would be good enough to sell me some of their coin. I imaging that a lot of them were buying when tek cost upwards of 50 cents each. The newcomer have the advantage of getting it at 1 to 2 cents per coin. I have built up my wallet by having the patience of not spending all my stake every month. I would hate to think that my patience of not dumping my coin every chance I got would be punished by people just coming in. I think its fair that each of us pays our dues. Besides I recently brought in my mother in law and my mother. I feel like they will do just fine with the my best earning coin as things stand. |

stake it up  pos diff is back to .0000x now and paying 40% Maybe I'm just being a jerk, which if that is the case I apologize in advance for not understanding, But shouldn't these resets be scheduled so that it does not only benefit the few who know its going to happen? I don't want to be a troll, this is my primary coin and I don't want to do anything to hurt it. I just believe fairness will benefit the coin. Feel free to delete this if I am off base. Again I am I strong supporter. What resets? The difficulty going down? It is governed by statistics and the number of stakes being mined per second. Cool, looks like I just misunderstood this.
