The all time low on cryptsy was around 1020 sats but the buy orders are extremely weak looking at the buy list so I'd imagine this crash isn't nearly over yet and will blow past the alltime low.
Oh well, maybe a miracle happens next year. At least my coins will be gaining 40% in quantity, I guess.
The 40% really makes up for it. My family members are liking that safety net. The price goes down production goes up cause few stakers. When the % goes down it usually cause the price goes up and there are more stakers. |

I believe part of the problem is this talk of hardfork. We are doing it because we don't like people bringing down the stake % by using very small blocks in very large wallets. These Jerks are "forcing" us to take drastic measures. This coin has had a history with changes effecting the price of the coin negatively. The jerk in question doesn't seem to have a huge effect on the staking. I'm still getting 40%. I say we focus on this when it becomes a real problem. When the price is high and the stake % is low. For now i think the coin would best be served by focusing on marketing it. Getting the price up. Who wants to get into a coin that is about to be hard forked with all the potential problems that come with that and waiting for cryptsy to take it out of maintenance. How many are going to want out until this whole thing blows over. The price is supported by new investors and happy current investors.
Bit too late now it seems, tek at 1327 sats and crashing, now I'm pissed off. Lost 50% value. Thankfully I diversified. The new rules will make it harder for new people to come in as well, sealing the value of this coin's fate. RIP. I can say this. I will never leave this coin. My goal has always been to have more at the end of the month than what I started with. And I will stick to that. Made my ROI. I have no reason to leave. I'm in it for the long haul for better or worse. Besides. Prices go up and down in this industry. I see the current prices as a buying opportunity and I still recommend it to friends and family as top coin for "long term" investor. This coin has been my best earner for longer than any other coin I hold. I still see it as the king of stake coins. |

It is probably because truck is running and HYP was forked from truck. I have TEK running so I know that it doesn't conflict with hyp. Edit the config file in the appdata/roaming folder to a port that isn't in use Ok, thanks. I created a shortcut and changed "C:\Users\Noe\Desktop\stakecoins\hyperstake 1.1.1.3\HyperStake-qt.exe" to: "C:\Users\Noe\Desktop\stakecoins\hyperstake 1.1.1.3\HyperStake-qt.exe" -listen=0 That did the trick |

My opinion is , if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Seems to me that it would be better to create a whole new coin with the wanted changes. We are all in tek coin because of the way it is currently. I am proud of the fact that smaller amounts stake fine, when other coins only reward whales properly. That's my two cents and the last i will say about it.

Let's say I would like to help Neucoin and be engaged... I ask them if I should make a translation of their Wiki ( http://www.neucoin.org/en/wiki/) in my language and that I'll need 20 hours for it. They agree to give me $20 per hour in Neucoin. At the current price that would be 0.084 BTC = 2,100 Neucoin 20 hours: 42,016 Neucoin Now they distributed 42,016 Neucoin of the 8 Mio they stake in just one day. They still have 7,957,983 to distribute. (will they tip them all?) How many highly supportive guys would they need every day? 8,000,000 / 42,016 = 190 highly supportive user every day(!) to get away what they stake every day(!)
But sure, there are also companies... everybody who'll implement Neucoin will get Neucoin. Let's say a Game-Dev implements it in his Game. And let's say they would give him $40,000 in Neucoin for that. That would be 168 BTC = 4,200,000 Neucoin Still 3,800,000 Neucoin they have to distribute... "today". If there is one Game-Dev everyday and they give him $40k in Neucoin for implementing Neucoin, it's still not enough to distribute just what they stake in one day! And what do they work what is worth to stake 8 Mio Neucoin everyday which is (not really) worth 320 BTC (at 0.00004)?
10 days: 3200 BTC... do they work that much? But sure, it's non-profit. They will just hold it and stake it and wait for all the new supporter everyday who will work 20 hours and the Game-Dev - e v e r y d a y !!! And, another fun fact: If the game-Dev (of just one day) would dump his 4.2 Mio Neucoin, because he needs money. What price would that be? He would crash the price to 500 sat or something like that and never would get his 168 BTC. That's just one reason why he never would accept Neucoin for his work. So... they would have to pay him in BTC, right? But what will they do with all the staked Neucoins they have to distribute? Just got in a new laptop. Upgraded to windows 10 before installing anything. Tekcoin wallet runs fine. Stakes like a champ. My question is , will i be able to run altcoin wallets on a windows 10 phone?

Getting 40% last 2 months, this means there is not a lot of staking going on. This low production will cause the coin to become rare again when the current cheap sell orders are sold off. I'm going to be buy me a tone of cheap tek.  |

That's quite a bump you've got over there. I've stopped using MyAltCoins quite short after I started using it, as it was not working that correctly at that time. It did work well for a time, but especially the synch / imports with exchanges like Cryptsy caused trouble for me. I searched for alternatives and found the 'Coin Ticker' app for IOS. I still use that one weekly and it's still working great. For the people who are experiencing problems with MyAltCoins, try to find that (or a similar) app. And before people start complaining, no, I don't have a stake in this app. I just use it, and that's it. Coin Ticker is useless to me, honestly it does not have a single coin from my portfolio, not even Tek coin the king of Proof of Stake, are you kidding me? |

Sorry for my ignorance, but I don't understand.
I set my transaction fee to 1 TEK because I wanted to support the miners and with TEK, 1 coin is next to nothing. Does this just get destroyed?
Why not keep transaction fees for the miners with TEK? As more people stake the difficulty goes up and wouldn't that cap the supply?
I know this is the wrong thread for this, but since we are talking about it already. I know the DMD developers plan on only having 4.32 million coins or something like that. If I remember correctly from that thread they said they wouldn't be destroying any coins.
I think I am misunderstanding something fundamental here. Why destroy them at all, and instead just say there is going to be 1 billion TEK or 4.32 million DMD?
I am not entirely certain that network fees are destroyed in TEK. In general, what Mullick said is true, though. The point is an inflation control mechanism. Every transaction reduces the available supply by X amount, which offsets production to some degree. Thundertoe, are fees destroyed?
