And who knows maybe we will see some crazy gains after ICO is done Cheesy

Good luck again to the team I am holding my SIN safe and thumbs crossed!

When talking about DRK you can't miss some of the DRK essentials. Instamine alone is screaming "don't touch it!".
...most people interested in Monero are not going to darkshit because its overpriced pumped flawed and dishonest coin.
True that. Adding "instamine" to the same sentence describes the darkcoin reality.
Monero (XMR) is definitely the right choice. Here is the answer to the question why Monero matters.

That's your takeaway about DRK is instamine... get some new material bagholder. I feel for you guys as your "investments" continue to dwindle to nothingness.

Why the constant bashing between you guys. I have information regarding Darkcoin's instamine that could cause it's price to drop to "nothingness", but I won't release it. Why? Because even though Monero is ahead in both fairness and tech, I like watching competition between them.

One of the funniest FUD comments ive read on these forums - I vote Come-In-Behind to be the new Darkcoin clown.  Cheesy

Ok, I'm gonna release PMS I've had in the early darkcoin days about Evan keeping most of the instamine for himself. Goodjob.

AKA, the only reason Darkcoin even goes up in price is because Evan, unfairly, has the funds from his immense instamine to pump/dump Darkcoin. That's also why he's been able to work full-time on Darkcoin.

In Japanese, Nakamoto means ‘central origin’, while Satoshi means ‘clear thinking, quick witted, wise’ i.e intelligent. The name can therefore be translated to mean ‘Central Intelligent’.

By that, I believe Satoshi's next work is on something that in comparison, makes Bitcoin seem trivial.

Monero-economy.com has my support.

That "-" looks unappealing.
Do you mean you vote for moneroeconomy.com ? I need to know to update the list (or not)

Also, I added some recommendation on the list. About following links on voters and reading the latest posts on the MEW thread.

I mean the dash symbol( - ) between the word Monero and economy.

Oh, I didn't read your question adequately. I'm just a commenter, not going to vote on anything for any coin. Just giving an opinion.

^There will be a tail emission (see OP):
Quote
A minimum subsidy may be implemented in the future with <1% annual inflation to preserve mining incentives.
I believe the vast majority of holders are supporting the tail emission and it'll be implemented soon enough.

Sounds like Monero will never go to really high prices like UNO might go...  Huh

Unobtanium is nothing except a clone that had the majority of coins emitted in a month or three (i.e. it probably has an extremely poor distribution). Looking at the rich list here, https://chainz.cryptoid.info/uno/#!rich , that seems to be true with > 80% of coins held in 100 addresses.  It hasn't had any significant updates in more than six months, meaning it isn't even keeping up with progress implemented in bitcoin core. I know people have been shilling all over this forum for UNO, but I imagine those people are mostly early adopters looking to build buy support to dump into. I don't think UNO is surpassing XMR in marketcap, but if you think so, better go all into UNO before it gets "more rare". Also, Bryce Weiner, ick.

I agree that UNO is a clone etc.
The goal of UNO is not to be #1 in tech but # 1 in increasing the price and marketcap of the coin. While all the coins - including bitcoin - is tanking severely this coin has risen 7 months a row. The bull trend of the coin is something I am unable to ignore.
After all, I am an investor more than tech enthusiastist.
I thought in autumn 2014 that UNO is only a short term pump but behold - it is still growing.
And if there is a dump, it cannot be that severe since there are not that many coins available for dumpsters to dump.
There are more than 10 000 wallets in UNO so it is safe to assume the size of the community is probably 1000 members.

I say this once again: The bull trend has been in force months - not days or weeks. Something is fundamentally right there. I wish we as XMR community learn our lesson, too from the winners, not from the losers.

But yup - low inflation coin is something that is definetely the only way a coin can get a significiant value. Otherwise the inflation will kill the coin. Very basic economics and can be seen very clearly among the alt coins, too.

What's the marketcap of UNO, what's the $ that gets traded per day in UNO? Both of those things might be easily manipulated if hardly anyone trades/uses UNO, to make it look as if it's been rising these few months, when it's actually been a few traders trading amongst themselves and buying their own coins.

I see Bitcoin as becoming a major form of alternative currency, even though I don't believe it will be the leading cryptocurrency in the future.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best long term investment under 30k sat on: February 08, 2015, 04:10:32 AM
Sorry to break it to you but doge has so much supply it would be almost impossible to reach 1 usd.  Doge is one of the top 5 most famous coins. Other coins are practically nothing compared to doge but why do you think doge is priced at 60 sat. It is very easy to obtain thru mining because of high block reward. Supply is uncapped.  There are over 100 billion doges by now and additional 5 billion doge next yr.  You think doge can still reach 1usd in the next 5 yrs?

What im saying to you is it wont reach 1usd because the demand would not reach to the point that it will dwarf the supply to be able to reach 1usd per doge. Drk is also top 5 coin with 22m max supply.  It is around 1. 50 to 1.70 if im not mistaken. Do you even imagine how doge coin would need to achieve to reach 1 usd?  Even if you beat btc ltc drk but with unlimited supply and that kind of inflation.  It wouldnt be enough

Don't even bother. If he wants to think that Doge could reach 1 dollar, which would give it a market valuation many times bitcoin's, then let him. Everyone has the right to dream, lol. The chance of that happening is probably lower than the chance of an all out galactic war between Thor and Superman.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ross Ulbricht Guilty of Everything on: February 07, 2015, 12:59:42 AM
I am not finished reading this thread, but I already have one thing to say:
Everybody, who says he deserves it, because he attempted murder is a FUCKING IDIOT.
Attempted murder was not an accusation in this trial, it has no value whatsoever in this trial.

It might not have been relevant in this trial but it is relevant to his character, so they can think he deserved prison time based on that.

Have you listened to him speak? Read anything he wrote on the silkroad forums (were still up when I last checked but was a while ago). Have you seen his mother speak? His father? Anyone with 2 braincells knows that's an FBI fabrication. Intact, when was the last time the FBI told the truth? Intact, have they ever?

You're being very silly. Have you seen any evidence to suggest the FBI faked theirs? From what I read Ross was trying to blame it on someone else and act like a dumb patsy (which I guess was his best option as pathetic as it was). Anyone with 2 brain cells would know that his parents are biased sources and of course they would think he's innocent. His mother was shocked when she found out in court he admitted to creating it as he told them he had nothing to do with any of it, but of course people in this situation tell people what they want to hear and use every lie in the book to get off.

"My son would never hurt a fly. He's innocent" - Adolf Hitler's mother  Grin.

Haha, the Hitler project funded by monarchies and the rich all over the world was a very bad thing but Hitler was just a pawn. But I get the joke ;-)

Ross was not allowed to use witness's and evidence he wanted to because of the Judge, he never stood a chance. He asked for Andreas antonopolous as well to explain bitcoin and how transactions work but was refused that. He wasn't allowed to talk about his principles and refused pretty much everything g that would have helped him. It was so one sided and that's not a coincidence! Trust me, wait till you see the people who are going get in trouble over the coming years because of this president that's been set! They are going have a field day with it! And most people will think he's some murder plotter too because the msm as emphasised that the most to slander his character which is all false. The guys a god damn hero and the FBI,CIA and co have a large investment in the drug trade! THATS what this is all about.

The joke is, there is another 100 such sites that have taken over now and with things like open bazaar online (although beta) they've created the bittorrent of dnm's which was always going to happen

You seem like you're delusional with your conspiracies, or on drugs. Pick one.

You went from the FBI always lies(Not saying that haven't, in the past they have done some crooked things, but here, clearly Ross is guilty), to Adolf Hitler's genocide being funded by the monarchies...
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ross Ulbricht Guilty of Everything on: February 05, 2015, 09:45:51 PM
Good people will be sacrificed unfortunitly before the zombie nations wake up! So eBay, amazon etc should all be arrested for providing a service where people scam on it too! Paypal etc etc but we all know they have carte blanch don't we!

He never stood a chance as he was did allowed to use anything that would show why he did it. Just like princess Diana's enquiry which actually ruled the following cars (not paperazzi that the msm said) caused the unlawful death. Same shit over and over. You practically got no rights left and people still havnt woke up to the truth of what's going on.

And what's this do for dark markets? Fuck all! There's over 100 now and some of them are MUCH bigger than silkroad ever was lol. Just another martor and more peoples rights pissed down the drain. Do you realise anyone running a website now that the powers that be don't like now can be fucked over now? No, your too blind to understand that. Humans have used drugs since the beginning of man but since some power crazy fruit cakes says its bad (except the ones they say you can take) people follow like sheep!

Sad state of affairs indeed!

If Ross tried to hire a hitman, then yes he deserves the maximum sentence possible. If he did not try to hire a hitman, then I agree with you that it's a bit unfair, especially when he helped take drugs off the streets(where violence is common). My view is that the hitman case outcome is what will separate him from either being a simple website developer/admin or a murderer(attempted).

Can anyone here spit out some ideas concerning websites that you think should be created around or focusing on Monero?
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ross Ulbricht Guilty of Everything on: February 05, 2015, 06:04:45 PM
There were no murders...

Attempted murder...According to the FBI's report.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ross Ulbricht Guilty of Everything on: February 05, 2015, 06:04:17 PM
there were undoubtedly many many people who's lives were destroyed through easier access to hardcore narcotics ... that IS harm ... law or not law ... technicality or not technicality ... *ethically* the guy should burn ... (assuming actual evidence exists linking his involvement which , of course, there was) ...
You are entitled to your opinion, but BTC users tend to be libertarian and thus think governmental babysitting such as banning drug use/drug dealing is immoral. I don't tell other ppl what to do w/ their bodies so would hope for the same in return. Banning drug use sounds like something out of a previous century.

The issue with allowing people to do...well whatever the choose with themselves is that most people don' have the knowledge(Well all people), to make the right decisions most of the time. We are bound by our own biology, so we cannot have 100% freewill, knowledge, freedom etc(If we did, then you extremist Libertarians would be right, but since we don't the vast majority of you are wrong).

An example is this: A uneducated person is persuaded by a peer to use Opium because in the short term it gives "benefits" such as relaxation, pain relief, reduced anxiety and impaired alertness and coordination. The person doesn't know any better because of his ignorance, so he goes ahead and takes the drug. Several years past and his body becomes more and more tolerant to the # of doses he has been taking, so he ups it continually, all the while his body becomes more tolerant and he is severely addicted(A wide variety of "hardcore" drugs are extremely addicting, to the point that after a certain period of time using them, your body physically depends on the drug or you will go into withdrawal and possibly die). The person gets to the point that he gets cancer, heart attack, has an overdose, and dozens more(A lot of which are fatal).

Overall, my point is that people are not limitless creatures that know all there is(such as the effects or outcomes of doing this and that, etc), so, there has to be certain rules that people must generally abide by, or risk destruction of themselves and communities, so no, drugs should not be legal(mostly because of the dependency/highly addictive part, where after certain longterm use your body physically depends on the drug).
