If you look at the last 3 years, difficulty rise usually faster than price. But you are right for the next difficulty correction. Currently BTC is way more popular then 3 years ago. Moreover main adoption started less then 3 years ago and price did skyrocket. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/#chartsIn just 1 last year alone BTC went up from around 600 USD to 5600 USD at this point. As you see right now there is much more confidence in BTC around the world. It is only hope for some people in countries like Venezuela, North Korea, Zimbabwe or Cuba. Japan have BTC legalized and you can pay even for your utility bills. Right now you have even payment cards you can use to spend your BTC which are not really great in my opinion BTW.. As you see 3 years ago and now it is completely different story and there is a lot of room for improvments which are just behind the corner. I hope you will drop your sceptical speech because without mining there will be no BTC so you should encourage people instead of spreading the fear. Ok. Show us what you paid and show us your returns then if you are so confident. |

Hi again My recommendation is to save your contracts on your own drive. Genesis Mining is not losing because they still have hardware. Investors don't lose either. I am living example. I do not recommend to buy small amounts of hashpower because it is more expensive then bigger ones. Best price level starts at 20 th/s. Anyway even for investors with small money it is still profitable. Plese see below cost of new contract which will start at 31st of October based on 20 th/s open ended BTC option: a. 0.129943 USD per GH/s upfront b. USD 0.00028 per GH/s and day, deducted on a daily basis from the generated Coins So for 20 th/s we pay 5,6 usd upkeep a day https://www.cryptocompare.c... Profit at current price and diffculty should be 21,56 - 5,6= 15,96 usd a day Initial investment cost us: 0,129943 x 20 000= 2598,86 usd We will ROI(return of investment) after: 2598,86 / 15,96= 163 days Starting from 164th day we will start making profit so it is looking very good in my personal opinion. It is not even half a year as you see. I am taking my risk and so far i am very happy with the results(already 18 months with GM). I made (little) profit with Hashnest. Don't know if it's still possible right now. But they are for sure more profitable than GM. |

For those of you who had the mining option available, but noticed that the "Mining" menu has disappeared...you can still mine, here's how:
From the Free BTC menu you should see a notice that reads Use your browser to passively mine and earn bitcoins! It has a Click here to read more hot link.
The hot link is active, if you click on it the CPU mining screen will open and allow you to mine.
There's a few reasons why the mining menu tab is gone, but it's temporary and we're working through. Remember...this is what beta testing is for!
Get back at the mining if you so choose. I want to hear your feedback, PM with the subject "Mining Feedback".

I don't know how people will react to my answer because I am getting paid daily from Genesis but of course they are paying very low. I have invested very little amount into Genesis mining but I am allocated my GHS to Dogecoin and they are paying to me on daily basis.

I "invested" with Genesis and have started receiving payouts. It may or may not break even. But I did it with the right expectations.
It's unfair to call it a scam if you can't prove that there was any fraud. It will likely just be a poor investment. At least from what I see, this is the most transparent company out there, and is the "least worst" one in my opinion.
People buying these contracts should be aware that they are essentially gambling and not investing. Cryptos by nature are not true investments - they're not generating actual wealth or productivity, you're just relying on continued demand for the currency to outstrip supply. On top of that you are making a bet about getting paid more than par value on a unsecured loan.
I can prove it's a fraud. Read first post. You are warned. Got to their thread, go to their facebook. There are hundred of people complaining. Give your money to them if it pleases you. |

Vloggers Trevon, Nick, et al keep promoting this Genesis mining. It must be somewhat trustworthy, right? How come this be scam?
It just isn't profitable. They are probably mining (even if there's no proof of it - they have no mining pool) but there's just too much fees in their contracts to make any profit. If you think I'm loosing money thats ok with me, I've only been doing this since January and am up 20 bitcoins, get back to me in 5 years as I look at this as a long term plan, not a get quick rich scheme.

Genesis Mining in my opinion made a mistake by making less of 20THs available for purchase, anything less that 20THs should be only for add on from your earnings. GM is getting a bad rep from small time investors expecting large returns. Crypto is in my opinion highly risky but even more so with small investments where purchasing 1 or 2THs at a premium compared to the cost of purchasing 20THs and then building it up by reinvesting 80%+ of your earnings, can't wait for the neg on my first post, Im now up to 430THs BC mining and still adding on monthly from my profit from GM and will continue to do so. Fools rush in.. I agree with you 100%. Unfortunately some people dont know how to do basic math. They hear others bragging about their cloud mining earnings and assume they will do the same. I am pretty sure most people complaining here are those who bought 20THs or less. Prove me wrong with your 430 th and I'll believe you. |

Yeah me too, but there's still time till 10th august, let's hope for the best  No dividend here too. Quite strange. I thought we would all be paid at the same time. Or maybe it's just because our dividends are too low to be accounted for  LOL no big deal for me, since I invested a little amount and I'm in for the long term, but still... You are the only one who understood how to make profit with them. Congratulation  (Maybe your could prove your profit, Mr. 1 post puppet of GM ?) So I obtain the next graph of mining profitability vs steady price increase per period of difficulty. The conclusion is that the contract can make ROI if the price grows at least at 6.8% per period of difficulty. If price stays the same in mean and difficulty continues increasing at same rate, then you would lose 60% bitcoins.
You could be right (I didn't do the calculations) but If you are ready to bet price will increase 6.8% per period of difficulty (which is a lot), you better buy BTC and keep it in your own wallet ;-) |

Sure, i can understand if you spent $50usd and you thought you were going to be living the high life in three month's. You would be pretty pissed when your not. If your lazy expecting to put in no work and get all the reward then you obviously havent been paying attention to the strategy for using the system to your advantage. Short term investers are better looking somewhere else. This takes discipline and consistency. If your not snowballing every payout back into genesis for the first 5-6 month's then your doing it wrong. Gensis mining is only ment for the aggressive investor's like myself any many others who still haven't stopped upgrading once whatever goal we set at first is met. You don't quite your job the first month, second, third, etc.... Wherever people are getting this ROI overnight idea is ridiculous. This is a long term investment in bitcoin. This is a dedication to the blockchain itself and a dedication to maintaining it. But if money is all you're concrned about. Then the secret sauce is clear. You remain profitable only if you properly upgrade your hash power to meet the increasing difficulty of mining. Period... Whether you do it at genesis with the worlds largest known documented super computer or at home upgrading every 3-4 months as necessary by increasing difficulty. It's sad people even need this spelled out. Over 200TH/s in 4 month's. Now upgrading 50TH/s every 2 weeks forever. Tell me it's not profitable? It's a scam? Then stay on the sidelines, more contracts for us in the game. Yeah yeah noobie with 1 post you are the only genius who understands how to make profit with them. Get the fuck away GM puppet.
