321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anything behind the doge pump? on: January 28, 2016, 02:15:32 PM
It's just a pump and dump thing. I don't believe it is in any way related to the ETH news.

The chinese are pumping a lot of altcoins these days. DOGE isn't the only rocketing coin. It's only a matter of time before they dump and price will come back to normal.

No need to worry, but no need to get excited either. I just sold the few altcoins I had and made a nice profit. Thx chinese pumpers.
322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Method for Easy BTC on: January 28, 2016, 02:04:38 PM
I don't see why the raise on loss is 65% and the raise on win is 0%. Doesn't that just ensure your bets to get bigger and bigger until you ruin your bankroll? Say this was martingale, don't you need to return to base bet, not keep going?

You sure need to return to base bet each time you win. Otherwise you will lose it all. I think OP was trying to say so.

Anyway, this "method" is well known. It's a martingale but with another payout. Usually martingale is with x2 but you can martingale with x15 if you want and have a small increase for each bet (like 10%). It doesn't change the fact you will lose it all on the long run because of an unexpected red streak.

More than this : every method has its own limits unless you just accept you will sometime be unlucky and lose money.

Hello People ,

Let me introduce myself ,

My name is Mikey ,the Casino Extreme representative .If you have any question or need any assistance related to our brand please let me know .

I am relatively new here and will start a new topic but first I have to check if the admin allows me to do so .

Sincerely
Mikey
Casino Extreme

Hi Cjmoles ,
Will try today to contact the admin to check if there is a possibility to start a thread ,I don't want to make any mistake .

Hello Mickey and welcome on the forum

You for sure need a new thread here. In your first post you should present what you have to offer, the bitcoins games, etc.

There will be no censorship on this forum if your casino isn't a ponzi or a scam. So it shouldn't be a problem from the admins point of view. No need to contact them directly, you just have to create a new topic. A lot of bitcoin casino owners have their own thread. The thread will be a self-moderated one.

Before doing it, you also have to be sure you will have time for answering questions, especially support questions.

Hui always amazes me with his 9900x payout hits. This was an ultimate one. To reach that hit he must have committed at least 1 bitcoin.

In fact he commited way more than 1 BTC. He did a small, but nice profit.
325  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why all blocksize propositions are round numbers ? on: January 28, 2016, 01:39:39 PM
Please don't do this big mistake ! Bitcoin Core will increase the blocksize soon or later, so don't help the secessionists !

As I said, sooner would be better than later.

I trust Bitcoin Core developpers and I would really be happy if they do so. But they have to do it in time. Right now it seems critical and change has to come really fast.

+ Several secessionists are high profile. They are not just a bunch of idiots trying to break bitcoin.
326  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ~ 15.000 buckz - What to do with? Hold in [btc] or Invest in Mining Adventure ?~ on: January 28, 2016, 01:34:30 PM
Wait till halving, then sell it when dumps begins. Buy again at low and wait.

To me, this seems the wisest advice. No body really knows so you can't be 100% sure but everybody expect the bitcoin price to rise this year because of the halving.

Mining isn't really profitable anymore and cloudming is even worst. If I had the amount of cash OP is talking about, I would buy BTC now and hold it until halving day.

What I personnaly believe : Price will go to moon 2 month before the halving, then crash a few days after the halving, then go up again slowly.

So basically it's a buy-sell-buy situation :-)

327  Economy / Speculation / Re: is it time to sell? on: January 27, 2016, 09:07:34 PM
it might be the time to sell if you dont believe in bitcoin and that its price will rise a lot in the future, though i still hope that it is possible for bitcoins

It's definitely not time to sell anything.

Google trend shows the interest for buying BTC is constantly growing these days. The price won't fall back and bitcoin halving is near.

Now is the time to buy & hold you bitcoins.
328  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 100 Hour gone still not payment received on: January 27, 2016, 06:21:30 PM
You probably just invested in simple BTC Ponzi doubler, which promise something and never get your money back.  Wink

This seems the case. It's really sad how these things keep popping up.
It makes new people in bitcoin so vulnerable.

Sure it does. There is not enough sanction for this.

I guess part of the problem is the fact bitcointalk is allowing this shitty ponzi websites in the game & round section.
It's a real shame. It's a public acceptation of the fact people will get scammed and lose their money on this forum.

How can a bitcoin-oriented forum agree with this and support such a scamming activity (undirectly).
329  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Why all blocksize propositions are round numbers ? on: January 27, 2016, 06:16:30 PM
I'm speculating here without real research, but it's likely because of computational efficiency. Things work best as powers of 2, e.g. 1,048,576 (1MB), 2,097,152 (2MB), etc.

No.  The current block limit is not a power of 2:

https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/605c17844ea32b6d237db6d83871164dc7d59dab/src/consensus/consensus.h#L10
Code:
/** The maximum allowed size for a serialized block, in bytes (network rule) */
static const unsigned int MAX_BLOCK_SIZE = 1000000;

I guess there is no more choice. The Block size has to increase soon or later. And sooner will be better than later.

I can see how transactions are getting slower and slower. In a few weeks / months the fees are going to explode.

I'll for sure switch to bitcoin classic. 2 MB seems a good first step.

There's probably no reason for 2 MB instead of 1.5 or 5. It's just marketing. 8 MB was too much and noby liked the way the Bitcoin XT project as been presented.
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling problem on: January 27, 2016, 06:02:17 PM
I guess the best way to stop gambling if you are addicted is to talk to those who know you and could help you stop.
With their help, you sure can stop gambling. The first step is to tell them you have a problem with gambling and shring with them you whole gambling activity : show them how and where you gamble.

Explaining you can gamble bitcoin will for sure make them think you are crazy but anyway, it's probably the best way not to do it again.

There are also plenty of associations who can help you if you prefer not to tell your family or friends.

You can also put some rules you should respect :

1) Gamble what you can afford to lose
2) Fix a goal when you gamble and if you reach it, stop.
3) Stop hoping you will get rich. If you want to get rich, go to work and work hard.
4) Don't chase your losses, you will lose more.

Another nice hit from hui, CONGRATS!!!

one word: nuts

Damn Hui. You are a hero Cheesy That's a really nice hit.

That's so dangerous. I really can't bet with that kind of odds.

Don't push you luck too far. But It's really good to see you are winning :-)

Congratulation to one of the best PD moderator !  Grin
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2016: Revenge of the Alts on: January 27, 2016, 05:49:08 PM
The problem is if you're thinking of what alt to buy due to the recent price spike, be careful as those prices may also fall back if profit takers are starting selling their shares.

That's a wise advise. I fully agree with you.

I guess the chinese are pumping the altcoin market. They are probably waiting for it to consolidate but when it's done they will dump their coins hard.

I'm not jumping is this. I will keep half of the altcoins I have and sell the other part right now.

100% increase with doge, 35% with blackcoin. I would be way too greedy to hope for more profit.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BLK/BC) | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: January 27, 2016, 05:40:21 PM

we are now up 100% since the 5000sat low...yes BLK is at 10000sat right now

who da fuck...is mr stupid now?

You were right Cheesy Quite happy I bought BLK a few weeks ago. I already made a nice profit.
334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you mine bitcoins. on: January 27, 2016, 01:55:06 AM
Hey guys! I'm a newbie, so I do not know much about bitcoins. Anyways, I was wondering how you mine bitcoins. Could someone please let me know. Thanks.

Hi.

Mining bitcoins is quite difficulty right now.

If you are new to bitcoin it would probably be wise to tell you it's "almost" too late to mine bitcoin.

Your best bet is to buy some bitcoins with your money and keep them, hoping it will take some value.

(A small advice : Don't invest in cloudmining or ponzi websites : you will lose your money or at best won't make any profit).
335  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: January 27, 2016, 01:49:18 AM
Primedice is hacked or something going on.

i deposited 0.5 BTC and instantly (automatically was sent as a tip to an onther member primedice024  im not hacked (i've created a new account also im the owner of the recent game ralobot.com)

i think there is a hack there 100% plz becarefull, i will try to write to their support to see what going on.

You post doesn't make sense. If anyone could access your account and tip from your account to another user it means you didn't set up a password, or you probably have used a bot containing a malware. There are plenty of bots like this out there.

Or is your post a way of promoting your ralobot.com website ? Primedice is fair with his players since years. Don't think your post will change anything about it without solid proofs.

bypassing captcha: This doesn't have anything to do with anything, the only thing the captcha is used for is to claim faucet lmao.

I guess he wanted to say 2FA (maybe?). Even if that's a non-sense anyway...
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BLK/BC) | PoS | No premine | No IPO on: January 27, 2016, 01:34:14 AM
this is very uninspiring im gonna stop buying on poloniex now due to the lack of anything happening here.

I hope you don't regret it too much with this 20% increase Cheesy

Bullish breakout confirmed

Remember last time ladies and gentlemen?

1000% profit likely thanks to China

False pump alarm for today. Somebody lamely tried to pump BLK on the #AltsAreBack hype wave currently cruising Twitter. Smiley Many old good coins are pumped now without any reason but BLK is too heavy to pump. Too many blackcoins in circulation, too many bagholders, too many pumps and dumps in the past.

It's still a 20% pump. But I guess the price will slowly come back to normal.. My guess is 6500 satoshi/coin in a few days...

"You are muted and cannot use faucet" Please unlock my account

You definitely did something wrong on the chat to get muted like this :

What did you do :
a) Spamming ?
b) Asking for money ?
c) Publishing strange link leading to suspicious websites ?
d) Insulting anybody ?

My personal bet is on answer (b) :-D
339  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: January 26, 2016, 01:50:01 PM
UK customers are no longer allowed to deposit - You may however withdraw your balance.

Sorry for any inconvenience. More information regarding this decision later.

No USA & No UK. Damn. Your customer base will decrease ^^

I guess you have your reasons but I can't really see it right now. Did UK just pass laws on bitcoin or something ?

Illegal gambling sites without a license is not welcomed in UK since like 5 months ago. Alot of other similar sites has started to bann UK players back then and PD just started it now. The userbase will still be the same since people could easily use VPN if they truly want to play at the site so there is no problem at all

You are right. Using VPN seems a good solution facing these kind of measures.

I ask myself : Is there any possibility for these kinf of website to get a gambling license ? Gambling is still a huge market to conquer and a few websites outhere have a monopoly with FIAT. I'm quite sure a lot of "Pokerstars" & other gambling websites users could be "converted" to Bitcoin if there was websites allowing the use of bitcoins with a licence.
