Problem is you don't take the rising difficulty into account in your calculations. This will probably multiply your ROI time by 2 or 3. |

Ok, go find better deal for ETH cloud mining. 100 MH/s costs $2715 with discount. If you build your own mining rig and run it for 2 years that would cost you:
1) 4 GPU cards. Now each such card costs $400.
2) Motherboard, CPU, power unit - $400 more.
3) Electricity costs. That will be 800 watt for 2 years - about $1400 if kwh costs $0.1.
Total cost is $3400. At genesis you can run same rig at $2715.
It's not their fault that ETH difficulty rises that much.
You can equally say that banks are scam because they request you to pay interest on credit card loans much higher than US Fed rates, and therefore steal money from your pocket.
Bull shirt. A decent R9 380 4GB could be found for ~$120 on eBay a couple of months back. Maybe $160-180 today. I'm pretty sure there are better price/performance options, just using this as an example because most of my own setups are low density 380 or 970. I'm still running some GPU rigs from 2014-2015 and can sell them for ~40-50% of what I paid for them, so this two year contract is a total rip off since GPUs don't disappear after two years, nor do they disappear when ETH is no longer profitable. + you can sell yourself the rigs you used for mining... So it lowers the cost... |

ce bordel ralenti bitcoin dans sa progression et accélère les autres coincoins dans leurs progressions. pour preuve, la dominance du bitcoin qui est passée de 85 % à 45 %.
Car il va y avoir un fork de la blockchain. Tous les acteurs ne seront pas d'accord sur les solutions à apporter et à mon avis ça causera une certaine panique avec une chute du prix. Mais ce n'est que mon avis.. Et le fait que le bitcoin perde du terrain par rapport aux autres cryptos ça va également contribuer à faire chuter les prix. Tôt ou tard, on se mettra à hésiter entre le remplaçant plus fonctionnel et l'original qui a un réseau bloqué par des mineurs chinois avec des fees 100x trop élevées.. Personnellement ça fait déjà un moment que j'ai investi dans ETH, Dash, LTC, Ripple, pour le jour au bitcoin se fera remplacer.. |

Moi, j'ai 0,001 BTC prioritaire et 0,0006 BTC pour normal (normal sachant que la mempool doit être vide donc). 2,2 euros de frais donc actuellement.  ça, c'est des vrais frais antispam ...  Ouais. En même temps ça décourage carrément à utiliser bitcoin. Imagine si t'es un tout nouvel utilisateur et que ta transaction reste bloquée 2-3 semaines.. Perso je m'en fous car c'est "seulement" 50 euros qui sont coincés quelque part et à priori j'ai juste à attendre mais bon, si t'es nouveau tu te dit vraiment que c'est de la merde ce réseau. Le seul avantage que je vois c'est que ce bordel (et/ou sa résolution) va finir par faire chuter le prix et que je vais pouvoir acheter un peu plus de BTC. |

Salut Oscar a bien répondu  Pourquoi attendre une confirmation ? le but de bitcoin sauf erreur de ma part c'est que tu ne px depenser que ce que tu as ds ton wallet et que tu ne px annuler une transaction....donc a priori c'est secure Pour l'energie utilisée....combien ça coûtes au total de faire des pièces métalliques, des billets (plastique, papier, métal, énergie pour la transformation, transport, destruction...) Ca me fais penser aux centimes d'euros qui coûtent plus chère à produire que ce qu'elles valent ^^ Concernant les cryptos je te conseilles de bien regarder les différents topics pour s'assurer du sérieux et de l’évolution de la dite crypto Quelques pistes (PSB et DGB) Bon courage Ok, mais le double spend ça existe non ? To me there is still not any opportunity legit enough that induce me to invest my Bitcoins. Bitcoins are very prone to scam, once you send Bitcoin to someone, you can't claim it back unless one personally know the receiver. So better stay away from Bitcoin investments, soemething relatively better is altcoin investment, trading,etc.
I would have to agree with you on that one. I just haven't found any good opportunities that are actually decent. There are definitely some out there, but the turnover is so little that there is no point of investing in them with the risk of getting scammed. There are some well-known sites you can invest in and make a decent profit. For exemple you can lend and trade on Poloniex, you can invest in Just-Dice, you can invest in some ICO (taas, Iconomi, etc..). You just have not to put all your eggs in the same basket. Just in case it goes wrong. |

Is Genesis mining still operational?. These guys made me believe I have invested and will get profit only for them to scam me. I deposited 2 btc with them about 2 years ago. They started making payouts of 50k satoshi everyday and this amount reduced until they stopped. When i inquired why they stopped, they claimed that my contract was no longer profitable because of the transactional fees. I did some calculations and realized that i only got back about 10% of what I invested. I will be surprised if more people are investing in this scam.
What did you expect entering a contract with 4000 days to ROI? You should have calculated everything in advance. I find it easy to blame the cutomers. The one you should blame is the provider of the contract. We should all blame Genesis Mining for selling shitty no-ROI contracts |

if the continuous pump, the bitcoin price would go far lower and harder to go back to the high place; pumpers need to have a breath about this rise so they needed to sell some of them before they will be able to rise the bitcoin again. the bitcoin price affects the majority of altcoins as well. the dump might be a trap to sell your bitcoins so be aware of the price.
It was needed. And still need a lower correction. Around 1400$ would be good. And in 1 years BTC will be back to the top. I'm waiting for lower prices to buy a few btc. |

We are already seeing the first signs of this in altcoins, and I think most of them are going to crash. But regading Bitcoin, I don't know... it's not like in 2013 anymore, when there were a bunch of speculators and the market was dominated by Mt. Gox. We are witnessing something more globalized here, and it is difficult to predict where this might lead us.
OP seems quite right at the moment. A big correction is underway. I think bitcoin will be 1000-1500$ bitcoin in a few days. But this can also be seen as a buying opportunity. Bitcoin has been going too high, too fast. A correction is needed. |
