Thanks - Do you recall what sport is was in?

We'll throw a small comp your way once we validate and correct.

Noticed an error on your odds, just a technical one. For even money odds lines instead of saying 2.00 for the decimal odds payout, it reads 1.00 which is misleading obviously.
1442  Economy / Gambling / Re: Ratings for all the bitcoin sports books on: March 16, 2014, 09:13:04 PM
1- All of the above: Sides, Spreads, totals, and props (including odds to win tourney  or region)

2- A few days before the games, around 1.5 BTC... day of the games up to 5 BTC depending upon how much action we've received on a given side.

3- No, but we will have 2nd half wagers for every game.

Odds will be viewable, without login, here: https://www.casinobitco.in/bet-college-basketball

Books- I don't want to take this thread too far off course but the NCAA tournament is right around the corner and the following may be of interest to players:

1. Are you taking bets on the individual games? sides, totals, props?
2. What are the limits?
3. Will you have live betting?

Hi justbc - there are some 'hooks' in the withdrawal process to validate a variety of undisclosed events that can transpire in the sportsbook and casino. Looking into your account, you've been red hot and a few bets came in after events scheduled to start, both of which triggered the withdrawal to get queued for review instead of processed automatically.

After reviewing, we found no issues - it's common with UFC fights to start well after the "scheduled time",  so we're processing the withdrawal now, you should see it in a few minutes.

FYI - We've been operating for about 9 months with no issues of withdrawals - anyone can validate this through this thread, or in our monthly reports located in Havelock.

I've been using Casino for about a week. The overall experience has been good. The odds and line availability are very good compared to the competition.

I don't have any reason to doubt that I will get paid, however I would like to let you know about my experience with your withdrawal process.

I had a good night last night and did a partial withdrawal to minimize exposure. The site accepted my withdrawal but said "it should be processed within 12 hours." My previous withdrawals for lesser amounts had been instant.

Now tonight I wake up and check and haven't received the BTC. I'm ok with that as they may want to review it. I checked the FAQ and they say withdrawals can take up to 24 hours. So now I don't know which it really is, 12 or 24.

Then I check my transaction history and next to the withdrawal entry it says "success" along with a link to blockchain.info. The link doesn't work though, nor do the links for any of my previous withdrawals.

Again, as long as I get paid I'm cool. But there is a lot of room for improvement here.
1445  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] CasinoBitco.in CBTC Official Thread- BIT777/PEERBET ACQUISITION on: March 16, 2014, 04:40:38 PM
Mid March numbers (3/1 - 3/15) have been posted in the following location: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmSWZWkGJ1V3dFpxZHVTN0x6ZldUeHRteWdBd1pMNXc&usp=sharing#gid=16

Synopsis: Overall, March thus far has been relatively consistent in all operations showing a profit of +18.05 BTC for the period.  While we have opportunities in our Sportsbook and our Acquired Properties, we did have our most profitable 15 day period to date (as it relates to USD revenue) in our Casinos with an overall profit of 21.95 BTC (breakdown below):

CBTC Casino: +17.80 BTC
Bit777/PeerBet: +4.15 BTC

While we are are pleased to inform unit holders that the revenue for Bit777/Peerbet is rather steady and not prone to the negative variance seen in the CasinoBitco.in Sportsbook, we do have a lot of opportunity to grow revenue as we make changes to the Usability, Player Retention, Promotions, and overall cross-brand awareness -  all of which are in-flight.

For the same period our sportsbook is down -3.9 BTC. As mentioned briefly in the past - we are working with a 3rd party market maker who will help us mitigate our risk in the Sportsbook altogether, and we are close to finalizing this deal as early as this upcoming week. Once finalized, our development team will work on integrating with the new provider - our target for completion will be the end of April. Until that project is completed we will be doing our best to micro-manage the Sportsbook to ensure either a small loss or gain.

Regarding the BitBook.biz closure, we’ve seen this as a very large opportunity to earn more players - and can confirm our traffic has increased around the same time period they closed. At the same time this brings larger threats of attacks. We’re content to share with investors, our players, and the world that we store absolutely no coins on our physical servers but instead use a 3rd party hosted solution for our hot wallet. Further, there are automated mechanisms in place to routinely move coins from the hot wallet to our cold wallet once a certain balance is reached - this process occurs daily.

Thanks for the feedback.

We did raise the juice in Basketball only from -107 to -109. We did this for a variety of internal reasons (you can read our monthly reports and find out exactly why); however, before doing so - we investigated the lines of the competition, some of which are quoted below and found that lines at -109 still beat them in most cases.

That said, we are in the process of moving to a new line system which has much more advanced features and are hopeful it will be a welcomed addition to the Bitcoin community, especially with the absence of BitBook.biz who we agree was the leader of the pack in Bitcoin Sports Betting.

Did you guys raise the juice on college basketball to -109?

Did you guys raise the juice on college basketball to -109?

Do you always post questions when the answer is 100% obvious? LOL jk

lol. One would think a business raising its fee  by  25% overnight would make an effort to explain it. The fact they don't bother is pretty fucking disturbing and is a very bad sign.
Casinobitco.in has always been one step behind the game in the gambling world in BTC. Last I decked they still do manual grading which is just absurd. They're offerings are little compared to nitrogen and funny, cloud bet too, a sportsbook which came way later than casinobitco.in. The one thing they had going for them for their great reduced juice of -107. Now with that gone only thing the site is good for is the free handout contests they have, nothing more or better than any sportsbook. Not to mention they made an announcement just to say bitbook is closing but we're not, pretty immature if you ask me. Bitbook was and always will be 10x a better sportsbook then casinobitco.in. Never will be even close in comparison. They bought two dead casinos too, one with only micro players and the other with no probably fair implemented. Stock holders must be drunk.

Hey,

Just been playing blackjack, great so far. The only issue I have and not sure if its reported. The balance seems to update before all the dealer cards have been dealt. Takes away from the suspense but still a great game, very smooth

Thanks! Yes, this is already in progress, we're hoping to have a new HTML5 version out this month which is much smoother!

And, as PR mentioned - feel free to play some of the Flash-based Blackjack games over at our sister casino, bit777.com

Are we charging a vig? If not then why not and should we at least consider charging one while we get these issues fleshed out?

Yes, there is a Vig on all events, we actually increased it from -107 to -109 earlier this month.

And, I don't like doing this, cause I don't want to jinx it, but so far this month we're doing just fine in the Sportsbook and beating expectations in the CBTC Casino as well as Bit777/Peerbet. I'll have the official, non-jinx worthy, numbers on the 16th... but at this point, I'm not overly concerned. That said, I still think long-term, we need to mitigate (or isolate) Sportsbook risk - and I'm working hard on that guys!
1450  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] CasinoBitco.in CBTC Official Thread- BIT777/PEERBET ACQUISITION on: March 13, 2014, 12:34:46 AM
What will you do if the sportbook is again not profitable this month? How many months are you willing to lose the gains of the casinogames to the sportbook?
This is no attack, i just want to know what are your plans if the sportbook is a bottomless pit, are you willing to cut it?

As I briefed earlier, I'm looking very hard to mitigate all sportsbook risk for CasinoBitco.in -- I agree, right now it's a big liability, but at the same time, it brings a lot of folks into our Casino and helps us differentiate ourselves from all the other Provably Fair Shops.

I also stand by the fact that we can make money in the Sportbsook, but it needs to be managed a bit differently than how we're doing it today. Good news is that I've been in sessions with a few market makers, and I think we have a good solution moving forward. Where we are now is just determining the correct pricing, and technical implementation before signing the dotted line. I'm hopeful to have a report for all investors on a moving forward strategy for the monthly report due in Early April.

1451  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] CasinoBitco.in CBTC Official Thread- BIT777/PEERBET ACQUISITION on: March 12, 2014, 11:12:26 PM
Do you know why it was shut down ?

No - we don't, candidly I've reached out to them a few times and they haven't given me the time of day.

My guess (only), and you can see our numbers are extremely transparent, they realized running a bitcoin sportsbooks isn't profitable without dedicated micro-management. Right now, it's our opinion that all the sports-betting sharks are crushing Bitcoin Sportsbooks. Overtime, as BTC becomes more common - the average bettor will find their way to us because gambling with Bitcoin is just a perfect fit... instant deposits, withdrawals, etc - I'm overly bullish that it's just a matter of time when this happens.

All that said, there are several ways to mitigate a lot of the risk in the sportsbook - I've been heads-down working on several solutions, hopefully one will pan out soon so I can report on it at the end of the month.

I would've thought we'd have seen that response a little sooner. Strange, but my only regret is not having one of those buy orders at .0001:P

There was a handful of pre IPO investors who had their restricted units released to them yesterday, it seems as though some have sold their units for cash-flow reasons.

In other news, in case you weren't aware, our biggest competition as it relates to sport-betting has just shut down their business - we are looking forward to gaining some of their business!

And last, we'll be publishing the mid-month report on the 16th of this month.

Update, and closing this out. Again - this is NOT the thread of customer complaints, any other customer specific complaints in this thread will be advised to work through the support team, and to chirp in the Gambling thread for unresolved issues.

Raffle
A total of 22 mBTC was manually refunded to 12 users that registered in the Raffle.

Jackpot
The user photoshopped that picture, all systems are working as designed.

1458  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] CasinoBitco.in CBTC Official Thread- BIT777/PEERBET ACQUISITION on: March 05, 2014, 05:06:00 PM
First - this isn't the right thread to issue specific customer complaints, there is a dedicated support team which is highly available and have worked with you directly in the past; however, I'll address you directly in this thread as I believe this is your desire.

We are working on getting the refunds for the raffle, which literally equates to roughly a few mBTC, out the door ASAP. There is no automated way to initiate refunds for the raffles with the software - so it's all done manually hence the lag.

There is no evidence the previous owners have rigged the site, and we haven't touch the source code for PeerBet since we acquired the property. The max "to win" has always been 1% of available bankroll for the given alt-coin, and the pop-up has been around well before we took over. There is no conspiracy (or incentive for us) to take your XPM or mBTC.

We're also looking into mezmerizer9 jackpot, we'll update him via e-mail on exactly what we find.

CBTCPR is away on leave, and I do pop-in sporadically - so we aren't MIA. Trust that we work on improving the Bit777 and PeerBet experiences daily - but metaphorically it takes some time to do a U-turn with the titanic, that's literally where we are at now.

My username is TuckFheman on Peerbet. Which recently went under new ownership/management. The new owners offered up this tasty raffle with a 1 BTC Prize AND 0.1 credits to their CBTC site. However after their PR guy created the raffle he asked for someone to buy the first ticket just until he could get some of his personal coin into Peerbet. I gladly obliged to his request because I had some coin at the time.

However as the days went on the raffle seemed to grow less and less. Until people stopped buying tickets right around 100 tickets and with a ten day limit, it was to doomed to finish. Which normally is no big deal, raffle doesn't finish the btc is automatically refunded to your account. However that raffle ended on the 28th of February and today is March 5th.

Us players want our BTC to be properly refunded!

CBTCTIM
CBTC_PR
Have both been missing from the site for almost a week now! Players and my friends are constantly talking about how Support does not respond to emails. Everything was fine a week ago until I uncovered a massive rigging scheme set in place by the former owners BIT777.

They had set limits on wins. Roughly 1% of the house bankroll. HOWEVER they did not tell anyone this and there was no way to know!!!! Until the CBTC TEAM added a pop-up when your bet is too low or high it shows the limits now!

Back when Bit777 owned peerbet I used to play the wheel with XPM and I had over 300 XPM but unknowingly (because of the rigged bit777 program) I was betting over the max "WIN" limit so every bet over their "win" limit was an instant loss and I now have 0 XPM.

Please refund our tickets properly in BTC!

And if your not going to manage the site properly it's time to sell.

EDIT#1 Moments ago user mezmerizer9 Brought this link to our attention!!
Clearly showing a JACKPOT win yet received NO COIN. That is the highest jackpot available on that game I might add.

I'm really torn on this company. It appears the voice of the company is committed to transparent communications with investors. This is really great. The more detail the better. I've personally really enjoyed blackjack and the new video poker games. I'm +.2 btc over the past two months.

My concern with this company is entirely around user experience and the overlap this has with SEO. I also think a proper investment ($10-$25k) into a well done design and front-end development would have been a better investment than purchasing the Peer/bit777 casino properties. The following statement is entirely speculation, but I'm concerned that the desire to grow fast may have resulted in purchasing sinking ships. I don't know this for certain, and I apologize if I'm way off. I hope I am wrong, and that bit777/peerdice/etc. provide great immediate profits. If they require re-working to become profitable, it may have been a poor purchase given their lack of credibility in Google.

The slight upgraded design that was applied to casinobitco.in a month or two ago was in fact a downgrade. While the design philosophy of having all of your content above the fold is dated, the practice of prioritizing content above the fold still remains. The shift in thinking (a few years established now) it that users will scroll vertically, and scrolling should be encouraged. It can be further encouraged by applying 'big design' principles to help instantly communicate to the user that they will be scrolling. In fact, it has been made clear by Google that their robots pay attention to your content above the fold, and some of their recent tools (e.g. pagespeed) are starting to objectively measure user experience factors; starting with mobile first.

Taking just the home page into consideration, which is the most important page to compete in Google for "bitcoin casino", the design is very bad. The large image/tout area pushes the most important content down without any important context. I understand design styles like this were popular a few years ago, but it is standard now to provide context with large images. At a minimum, the games should be over-layed on top of the large roulette wheel image.

I generally approve of your <heading> and <title> tag decisions.

I'm also generally concerned with the new purchased properties not ranking anywhere in Google for the top generic terms associated with the business (e.g. "bitcoin dice", "bitcoin casino").

These thoughts are all over the place, but I think it's important to call out the design decisions. They are absolutely critical to this business, especially in the 2014 world of SEO.

tl;dr - The user experience and design decisions feel lazy and this is a huge concern given the convergence of UX and SEO.

All very good points, we are actively seeking UI/UX experts to help reshape CasinoBitco.in (we are already in the process of re-skinning Bit777 and PeerBet) - but if anyone is interested, please PM me.

Regarding the acquisition, Bit777 and Peerbet are profitable - and they have 10x the users CasinoBitco.in has! PeerBet itself has 5x the traffic CasinoBitco.in has! I'm very confident we'll be able to convert these users just as well as we do on CasinoBitco.in, and in time - as we merge the sites together, we will be one of the biggest Bitcoin Gambling destinations on the web.
