Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Over 90% of ICOs are a scam

I think the percentage may not be so big. I'm sure that there are many more good IСOs projects. Up to 40% of projects have excellent potential and achieve good results, just see new coins on Binance, if you participate in the ico, you will get huge rewards
Agree I also think that this is some kind of unreal statistic. The question is how many ICOs have these experts analyzed...I personally see a lot of successful icos here I am also not very much sure about the percentage. It might be wrong but the message that it is giving to all of us is absolutely correct. The number of scams has increased recently and it is far greater than the last year. It is better to show more care with every passing day. More and more people are using internet for fooling others and the worst part is, criminals are tough to be caught. Unfortunately where there is money, there will always be scams.

Quite a lot of countries mentioned here. Others are just asking to confirm you are not from China or the USA. Quite a bothering trend - to know that all these countries reject ICOs and crypto or stigmatize them as "illegal"
The rumour has it that 80% of ICOs are scamful, that's why they are prohibiting. I even came across such a "study" recently. Another thing is that no one wants to analyze the projects and put some efforts to getting the details. It's much easier to blame the project you invested in that acknowledge that it is actually you who bears all the responsibility for investing. Sorry for digressing in this thread, it's just a very painful topic for me

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty and too many participants

The more people involved in a campaign, the less money is being earned. Very popular campaigns are very slow to pay and you can take your money after months. The amount of stake that you will also receive is also very low Why so? If they promise to deliver the tokens earned within 2-3 weeks after the ICO, it's normal to expect they will. Or what time period do you mean by "slow"?

Hello community! What do you think about popularity of the bounty campaigns? I see many new participants joining bounty campaigns, especially Twitter and Facebook. With more and more new participants, we will earn less and less rewards, also many of potential buyers would rather join bounty campaign than invest to ICO - again less rewards for bounty participants. I hope that we will see some regulations here and bounty campaigns be more strict in rules and they will choose only the best participants. So, what is your opinion, guys?
It depends on the model used. If there are stakes, than the more participants, the less is your profit. But they may also assign a predefined number of tokens. Too many bounty hunters, you're right. If by choosing the best participants you mean filtering out those with Twitter and FB accounts dedicated to bounties only, than almost no one will be eligible for stakes. Good for increasing your profits, but bad for the community opinion

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 80% of ICOs are Scams

Why is everyone getting at ICOs forgetting about the 'scams' that existed for ages? I mean all kinds of investment and gambling. Yes, for me they've got much in common, and I'm not averse to either.
Investing is always risky and always calls for analysis. If you are not able to analyze, don't turn your hand to ICOs, trading, gambling or anything including an element of uncertainty.
Make a bank deposit and earn your modest 1-5% a year.

Bounty and airdrop come as the easiest ways, but some would be averse to making a dump of their social nets accounts (if you take Twitter or FB). So in bounty stick to the projects you believe in only
I stake on trading and mining, but these need some initial investment which bounties and airdrops can provide

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulating Crypto killing the market?
|
on: April 01, 2018, 11:10:33 AM

We re seeing a lot of things about cryptocurrencies in our daily news. Many countries are trying to regulate it by imposing restrictions. Does that mean the good old days have gone? Huge pump after the arrival of a new coin? HODL to gain 1000% or so? All these things have gone? The market is very dull, we couldnt even see a solid jump these days. So, is this the start of the end of crypto? Post your ideas.
Crypto currency will never die friend because the technology is a progress, we do not want to go back again like antiquity. Won't die, but is likely to transform. Anyway, I think there's no going back to the unregulated crypto market. Those TGEs that managed to do it at the very beginning when the governments were still lenient have lucked out

Ok, I'll bite. My first thoughts was "Another file storage system?" There are so many of them with similar use cases and actually none of them has a working model yet. But it seems, this takes storage with a different spin.
Looking forward to learn more.
Thank you for your opinion! Just to resume, here are the flaws of our competitors that Market.space will bypass: - Traditional cloud storages (OneDrive, Amazon, Google etc) are not averse to data scanning which means they neglect users privacy. They are also pretty expensive and don’t leave much choice imposing fixed packages. - Decentralized blockchain-based systems are secure compared to cloud storages, but they fail in reliability. Consumer devices cannot be accessible 24/7; they are also susceptible to corruption. This means that no one grants you instant and round-the-clock data access, and your data intactness. That’s why Market.space focuses on professional hosts. The credibility of the hosts and thus responsible storage is guaranteed by the insurance deposits hosts are to make. They are also incentivized by the metrics-based rate system. So to simplify the explanation. Market.space is a decentralized United Nations of file hosting - where Rapidgator, BlueHost, InMotion Hosting, A Hosting, LiquidWeb, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc all become part of one giant host; where profit is determined by a rate system. Interesting indeed. I look forward as to how you plan to assemble a minimum threshold of professional hosts that will join. Do you really think giants like Dropbox and OneDrive will join? They're kind of competitors, right? It's just an example. The hosting providers that will most likely join are the ones that have a year or two of operations and are willing to try out new markets in order to maximize profit. The big names won't budge because they already have a lead or larger market share. Hello! Yes, can't disagree with you I can disagree. If we are not talking about either hosting giants or newcomers, but players taking some intermediate niche, they would be interested to join and use some capacities they haven't used for years. It doesn't take much to store
