All we can do is educate ourselves; Buyer Beware. Our transactions are irreversible so we don't have the "safety net" of a CC chargeback; we must do our due diligence and make sure we are sending to the right person.

I regularly spend my Bitcoin through Gyft, with which I can buy tons of different gift cards. Very helpful if you're out & about and don't have any cash or cards on you.

I am sure many politicians have "off the record" investments in a variety of economic markets, Bitcoin included.

I love this thread. I've always been interested in Russia and have always wanted to visit there sometime. How is visiting and staying in Russia on Westerners?

If you're tired of the confirmation time you are probably gambling and waiting for your deposits to clear... For most everything else it is not really a concern. I mean I could see how you would be tensely waiting for a confirm if sending millions of dollars worth of BTC in one transaction or something, but for everyday purchases and whatnot it's not really a big deal in my opinion.

It will take a lot of time, but probably good for it to spread gradually than too quickly. Example- Everyone that bought in on the hype when the Silk Road was taken down and hit the Mainstream Media, and purchased at $1000/BTC hoping to become overnight millionaires, then dumped all of it.
Even if there are lots of pieces on Bitcoin in the news, there is quite a lot of information in the news these days for people to digest, in multiple mediums- Radio, Internet, Television, etc.

Very nice operation they have going there... One could only hope they don't always dump on the market, and it would be wise of them to at least hold a decent percentage of that as Bitcoin.

Damn, that is definitely not chump change...
Still owes 60 BTC? I wonder how many Casascius coins were involved in that trade..
Good luck though if your claim is legitimate, it should get him motivated seeing his name in a scam accusation here.

... Ouch, I just lost all I had in a blockchain.info account (identifier number), that would be several wallets. The amount was enough to hurt, but not enough for me to go the cops (yeah, right...). Here is a crude Cut & Paste of them at work on the blockchain (transaction hash code first, then bold emphasis mine): 08ad57f2adc764a3e09d30625d355aa063d470ee960096a4572a365ed5dc00ed (New Message ( cryptomsgr.com) ) Please do not fall victim like I stupidly did by visiting their website to "try their messaging service", if you enter your identifier and password (ahh, thinking that "perforated B" of blockchain.info's is real...), else you will lose ALL BTC in ALL of your wallets like I just did. And it happens very fast. Beware.* * * Anyone motivated and talented enough to go after these guys, here is what I have (although you can get the same from the above hash code):cryptomsgr.comAnd their two dirty wallets: 1EnfwpztCkSSvkwJqtJNTpfy5XusWmTbPG 12gvwAmVQfJyRqzYE2SC5jKDaZ63d3zQY2 Lots of $0.11 and $0.14 transactions involving above two wallets... Live and learn. Ouch indeed, man. I am very sorry about your loss, but I don't know how you ever thought entering your Identfier and password on a 3rd party site was a good idea. I, along with thousands of others I'm sure, received their 1 Satoshi blockchain spam advertising that scammy shit. You definitely did the right thing by coming here to warn others though, good deal with that brother.

OP's numbers are obviously bullshit. Anyone that knows how to add things up can see that it's not possible. Snarlpill even broke it down up there. ^ Shows that OP would have had to view At Least 14,000 ads to make that much money. And that was at Click2Dad's rare & Absolute Highest pay per click of 0.000005 BTC. So in other words OP would have had to have clicked probably 15,000-45,000 ads to make that much with no referrals. It's just not possible. OP is either the site admin or working with him.

Beautiful coins, and I think you should try to add a picture of the hologram(s) that come with it, I think maybe that would help people picture what they look like put together.
Anyone buying these coins should look at them as a piece of their portfolio- silver (and gold) bullion, and early numbers out of a limited edition run of these. I would believe almost certainly that they would be worth more in 5, 10, 20+ years as one of the earliest physical cryptos and wallets.
Good luck OP!

Man as much as I Hate supporting one of these Ridiculously frivolous lawsuits... I have had many Red Bulls, so I guess if I claimed it for me then at least that'd be one less person who's never even bought one ripping them off.
And only in the U.S. is right... So many bullshit lawsuits get by here. But- I guess it's better to have too much freedom than less. And somebody asked why only giving them back to America? Well, U.S. Courts can't exactly force them to pay out other parts of the world.

It seems like Way too many people got into BTC to "get rich quick." There are so many threads I've seen where people treat Bitcoin as if it is some magical currency that grows interest upon itself and can be "doubled" easily. And the fact that there are so many ridiculously obvious Ponzi schemes operating promising people 500% interest, and they believe it, does not help probably.
I understand the technology behind it and know that it is possible to change the world for the better in so many ways with it. I think this is why I am not necessarily worried about the 'low' prices lately. The technology itself is very valuable; this is still a Very young currency/commodity, large governments are still in the air about it, and these things will take time for people to relax and to stable out price-wise.
