HZ has arrived. The FUD is a sign of success.

Blame original dev... Check
Steal project through devious means from original dev and make him look like bad guy... Check
Destroy all momentum on coin and call it "a long term investment" .... Check
Never fix valid issues with code and distribution... Check
Squander development funds and leech community... Check
Destroy active community and beg for new dev funds to squander... Check

Now that we have paid ourselves a bitcoin a month each to produce barely anything that resembles development.... Other than some flashy photoshop and a few lines of Java.... We want the community to do the work.

Sorry, you burned the community and we are done with all of you.

Created a new account just to attack HZ

There has been what looks like an exit by some medium holders but I don't think this is fatal to HZ, there is a lot of value ot the technology. It's just getting started.

 Can someone explain to me

I don't understand why the value keeps dropping on the exchanges? This coin has a good development team and community this coin should be be around 100 to 150 or more .  not  66-73 .....

I don't understand either! Huh

Excited to buy while it's this cheap though  Grin

The coin is still in distribution mode. Some people are just immediately selling it after they earn stakeholder rewards and node bounties. This phase will end within the year and it will be much harder to get free coins. That should stabilize the market and what follows ought to be organic growth. Buy now when it is cheap, and hold for the time being.

Stakeholder script was paying out based on an old snapshot when we were catching up payments, we have now switched it back to regular staking, and will coincide with your balances as usual. We are running the script again to make sure it worked. Extra payout for everyone!

Fantastic, thank you.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HZ] Horizon Long + Fair Distribution|Decentralized Asset Exchange on: December 21, 2014, 05:10:47 PM
Stakeholder script: The stakeholder script has been fixed and is back to running automatically. We are running it an extra 3 times, after that it will be back to the 1 a day payout.

With developing new tech, there are going to be hiccups now and then, but we are always working to resolve such issues as promptly as possible. There were a wide variety of missed payments people were reporting so we took the average to come up with that number + the extra payouts we did a few days ago.

Some people reported that accounts weren't receiving payouts while some of their other accounts were. If you have an account that wasn't receiving payouts, and you never received the extra payouts we ran, then we suggest moving your funds from those inactive accounts to new ones.

We won't be processing missed payouts manually, but with the recent fixes deployed, we are confident we should be back to running smoothly with all the scripts and explorer instance. We apologize for any inconveniences, and appreciate your patience while we resolved the issues.

Multipool: We are pleased to announce that the multipool is now live and will be receiving updates as we continue to progress. You can get started with it here: http://www.hzmultipool.com/

Block explorer: The issue that was causing the explorer to get stuck has been resolved, and we have not seen any recurring problems since then.

Node bounty script: Payout script has been fixed and is back to running normally, and we haven't detected any issues since the fix was deployed. Some users are reporting nodes not being detected even after a few days, and we are actively investigating this issue and will post an update / deploy a fix when we have solved the issue.

V1.2.9 client update: Currently in development by a contracted developer, and will hopefully have something to show by years end.

Trust / Reputation: Currently in development and will hopefully have something to show by years end as well. This is one of our defining features that will play a crucial role in unannounced developments.

New ANN page / Forum turnover / Horizon FAQ Wiki: Both are actively being worked on and should be completed soon and deployed.

- The Horizon Team

Thanks, much appreciated. Great to have a team so communicative.

@1millionthofaBTC

This is a pretty sensitive crowd when it comes to altering the code in any way or associating with other projects.  That attitude just might be sensible and practical - don't mess with a working system.   Hope you have a thick hide, a newbie accounts can't get NO respect Smiley  But it sounds like youre up to date and informed hope you hang around.

Go LONG and HODL tight!

Hello it is BitcoinNational

Yeah I get that, and thanks for being supportive. I'm holding a lot of UNO, but not interested in rocking this boat.

Is this Gustav guy one of the developers or just someone with strong opinions? The UNO website still has Bryce as the developer but has not updated his relationship to Blocknet (he's no longer there). It would be nice if the developers would keep the site current.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: December 06, 2014, 02:59:02 PM
Any interest on the part of the UNO developers to join BlockNet?

watching the clusterfuck unfold with interest. Should uno join? I don't think so!
Blocknet wouldn't get anything from uno aswell since there are no features to share with your mechanism (which is brand new if even released yet).
All you would get is something to hype and pump and dump on.
From your standpoint it doesn't even make sense to want to include uno - maybe for hype reasons.
Should uno sell itself and loose most of the value it has to help blocknet get out of the shit? Certainly not!
Uno will loose value in that process, pretty sure. So no, not interested.

Other question: do you hold uno? How many/Why not? And why ask such a question with a brand new account?
You clearly haven't even been following this thread.

OMG! Please go ask somewhere else! Uno will be merged with many other usefull coins in the future and will be its own center of a small economy. Maybe blocknet coins all want to fork to sha256 3 minutes blocktime to be taken into consideration for merging?

blocknet: please not and don't waste everyones time with trying to convince people.

I am strongly against it and i feel others wouldn't want it too.
Dev is already working on implementing merged mining solutions which is the way to go for uno and there has been large agreement on it within the community. Uno is a solid coin and is not good to abuse for a shortterm hype of other projects.

UNO > Blocknet

If i wanted blocknet i would buy blocknet. I hold uno because it's not blocknet. I was glad to not be in any associated coin when it launched. I would not buy blocknet currently and i have never been holding any. In case i would have been holding coins involved with it (which i did not) i would have sold them at announcement. So please leave my uno alone so i don't have to exit altcoin markets entirely because i am forced into holding something i didn't order. Thank you very much!
We are watching it though, no worries. The management is horrible so far. Also how investors are treated over there is a horror. So no, not interested (at least not me)
Some big questionmarks around that ico aswell. If it was up to me i'd give a clear: no
Uno will be doing better without it and worse with it. Blocknet does better with it and worse without it. So, no. Just no.
Manage to survive with it the cluster-thing for a year or two (preferably three or four) and maybe then - but asking before even showing some real value and functionality for some time is a clear red flag here.
(my personal view on it - 2cents disclaimer)

sorry for being pretty direct

Thanks for your honest opinion.

I have no stake in blocknet, I was just asking an innocent question. It's not my project.

Although this is a newbie account I am not a newbie. I lost access to my old account so started a new one. I have read this entire thread and have been paying attention for a long time.

I've been in UNO since shortly after it launched and upgraded my holdings a lot when it dipped a while back. I believe in it and am in for the long haul.

Pardon my newbie question, but I am confused about how forging works. I have a balance of HZ and I use the web wallet to monitor it. I see that each day I am awarded some HZ, and I am happy about that.

If I were to add my coins to a forging pool, would the rewards from the forging replace or augment the reward that I am already receiving? If it replaces it, would it be a larger reward?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can explain this to me.

You can't ''Forge'' your balance using the web wallet, only via ''Full wallet''.
The amounts you  been receiving daily are called ''Stakeholder Bounty'', which is calculated depending on your current HZ holdings. When on a forging pool, you can't solo forge, however Stake rewards are paid out normally (again, based on your current holdings).

But I can lease my balance to a forging pool, correct? There is a clear option for that in the wallet.

Yes

OK thanks, so my original question still stands; if I lease the coins for forging by a pool will I receive proceeds from the pool as well as the Stakeholder bounty as I have been receiving all along?

Yes.  You receive both.

That's pretty cool thanks.

Hey there, yes you will receive your stakeholder bounty as well as the forging fees that are paid out from the pool.
When you lease your balance, you still have access to your funds in your wallet.
Here is a video on how to lease your balance to a pool:

Thanks to both of you for your help.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains | XBridge | true cross-chain P2P on: November 15, 2014, 09:34:08 PM
It seems to me that it's irrational to want the price of BLOCK to be higher.

BLOCK isn't a normal coin - no one is pushing for it to be accepted by merchants, no one is promoting BLOCK for charity, etc. - it's simply a receipt for supporting the ITO, and its only value is in how many NHZ assets you can exchange it for when Blocknet is a reality.

The price of BLOCK doesn't have any bearing on the project either, unless I'm mistaken; the devs are getting paid from the BTC or other supported altcoins when people paid for BLOCK in the ITO. They aren't getting paid in BLOCK, right? After the ITO, the price of BLOCK could go down to 1 satoshi with no detriment to their development efforts.

Thus, it really seems like we should be hoping for the price of BLOCK to be as low as possible, in order to scoop it up cheaply. The only reason to want the price of BLOCK to be higher is if you want to sell it for profit before Blocknet (which is valid, but I would think most holders are interested in getting paid by Blocknet's NHZ assets; otherwise why not just invest in a normal coin?).

I'm writing this because I don't understand the desire to have the devs put up a buy wall for BLOCK. If the price of BLOCK goes back to ITO price or higher, it doesn't affect the project's funding at all, but it makes it more expensive to acquire BLOCK for users, correct? Let me know if I'm missing anything.

It is not surprising that people who spend good money on something expect to see the value hold. The long term expectation is for a gain, and even though most people understand that there is a big risk and they could lose their investment, seeing a huge drop in value right at the moment of the IPO completion is disturbing. The current trend in so much crypto for projects to be revealed as scams is always in the back of our minds.

Think of it this way; if it were the stock market the shareholders would be demanding the resignation of the chairman of the company if the stock price declines by a lot; or at least demand an explanation.

I am not trying to undermine trust in the project, I believe in it and hold a good number of the coins as well. But I do feel that it is not unreasonable for people to express concern and request action be taken to demonstrate good faith to respect their contributions to the project.
