With distribution of the supply of Horizon nearly complete, we are faced with the need to find continued means to fund hosting, marketing and development for the future. With this issue in mind, we have decided to found the Horizon Foundation.

The foundation will initially consist of Horizon development team members:  Pharesim, Cbkr, Nick, Coinerz and Mawo. After things are set up, we will be holding an application period for individuals who are active, and interested in helping to shape Horizon's future.  We will create a platform for foundation members to discuss on, and create a vote for every outgoing transaction. The foundation will receive 50 million HZ to be used for future development, advertising, and server costs. The option for bounties will continue within the community, but the bounty amounts will be less than previous payments compared to during the distribution phase.

More details will be made in the near future, but we encourage you to voice your thoughts and ideas below!

1) So you need funds for development but why take money from bounty node pool?
2) In the other words you want to dump 50 million of hz on the market to pay for servers and take money to develop HZ ?
3) We have community we can help in development in many ways, i can maintain many nodes for free to support the network and many node operators can do the same
4) IMO it looks like PREMINE, you took the money which was for coin distribution to yourself, unfair for me.
5) I think i am wrong here but i hope you dont need this money to buy Ethereum and make some profits from this.
6) We will see situation on the market if massive dump on hz will come then all clear to me.

It's tough to develop, keep sites up and promote if there is no budget. So it's probably a necessary move.
Personally I don't care who's got all the other coins, then they better be spend towards developing HZ network.

There's no other 50M left. Wink

The remaining funds are left for stakeholder and node bounties. Everything else that is paid out will come from the foundation account and will be phased with community votes. No need to worry that any coins would be dumped. (You guys should know better after all that time anyway)

We're entering the last part of the distribution phase, and like we changed the way node bounties are paid, we also have to rethink the other means. The team invested tons of time to keep everything going, and received monthly payouts to compensate for that. We can't keep that running like it was in the last months, because combined with the seriously low price we'd run out of funds in no time.
So everything is cut down now, the foundation will pay for projects, and we'll see how much the community valuates different tasks.
That's not possible everywhere. Hosting cost is a fixed amount for example, there won't be any vote about that. It needs to get paid.

This also means: The foundation will need to find ways to get fresh funds sooner or later. Prepare for even harder times Wink

And one note to those fudding about our intentions: HZ was founded 1 1/2 years ago, and all profits I made during this time were made through trading the ups and downs. I still hold more coins than I received through bounties (because of the HZx crowdsale and giving price support). If I could get out completely at the current price, I would have made a staggering 5000$.
Nobody I know (maybe except the anon dev who created the genesis block) made any reasonable amount of money out of HZ so far. And I do know everyone who did something. I don't know if there's anyone out there, but if so, it wasn't someone who contributed something.

The team slack is now open to the public, everyone but him can pass me an email address if they want to join.
Everything regarding the further set-up of the foundation, and later on the internals will be discussed there.

I think we are close to the end and we'll never see the 60 satoshi/HZ again. HZ is almost dead with the last taken actions I saw.

There has been what looks like an exit by some medium holders but I don't think this is fatal to HZ, there is a lot of value ot the technology. It's just getting started.

No large holders or team members have left HZ. We just put out a release a couple weeks ago, and 5.0 is on the way, currently on test net.

Good news, Besides price HZ  will increase as soon as phase of distribution is finished. Maybe you could release 5.0 until it happens.

I was one of the first fans of NHZ in April 2014.
At that time NHZ was one of the first clones of NXT ad had a great distribution model.
I had hoped that HZ could be an independent coin with its own unique features.
Now, almost one and a half years later, I'm disappointed.
HZ was characterized by lack of transparency, incompetence (cbkr) and marketing gibberish (Pizpie).
Now, after the distribution is almost over, HZ is only a NXT clone and nothing else.
I'm sorry for MaWo (one of the better software developers) and the other former NFD owners. It seems that the phoenix dies a second time.
The establishment of "Horizon Foundation" yesterday was the last example that the devs make what they want. So you've finally lost my confidence.
Were the 138 million HZ (15% of distribution), which got the founders, still too low?
Additionally, 233 million HZ have flowed in any bounties, it is not known who got it.
Only a third of the distribution has been paid to the node owners  Huh.
Time to say goodbye.
In my opinion HZ has no future.

not much buys on poloniex 1.9 btc and 8.8 btc on bittrex down to 1 satoshi

This means: The foundation will need to find ways to get fresh funds sooner or later. Prepare for even harder times Wink
