Great news! The new wallet is ready Couple of things for me to do before I publish the new wallet: - Checkpoint the chain - Create a release branch on github - Install the new seed nodes (6 nodes, 1 x NL, 2 x EU, 2 x US and 1 x asia) After release I will: - Create the automatic swap procedure. - Update the OP - Create a Yobit swap request - Inform other exchanges about the swap - Look for an electrum server and client Will keep you guys posted nice and great news dev. really wait for this. so after this pls fix all pool. really want to start mining this now! i mean it now! I will try to attract new pools that support the new algorithm. Maybe I will even try to setup an official one. The new algorithm allows you to solo mine with cpu because its asic proof.

need a working pool.. minertopia.org does not pay! pls DEV! update about pool and wallet come 1st. most importantly POOL! no AMS can be generated without a miner.
Minertopia pools seems to be running well. Please ask the pool operator the minimum payout threshold. Maybe you did not earn enough for a payout. already 800 AMS.. what the minimum.. there is no minimum in there. it just say 0.1 payment every 3hours. but still no payment. so is there something wrong in there or what? can someone from the dev or Minertopia answers or check this. Payouts are made automatically every 3 hours for all balances above 0.01, or 0.001 on Sunday. <--- from minertopia.org. but there is no payment made. so? So please ask the minertopia pool operator why his pool does not pay.

any reason for this coin being as cheap as it is? Just from glancing at the last page, there are wallet problems, but swap is on the way right? any info on it? swap ratio etc...
As far as i know Swap should be 1:1 (if there is a swap) and 100000 coins for a masternode How about if my AMS on exchange, should i withdraw it to my wallet? The wallet work is still in progress and we are nearly there. For the swap you can do two things. First one is to sync your wallet and keep your coins there. There will be an automated swap procedure. Second thing you can do is to keep your coins on Yobit. They will perform the swap. Warning for this option, its unknown in what time frame they will perform the swap. Swap rate is 1:1 masternode collateral still the same (100000 AMS). More info about the new rewards can be found here https://github.com/CoinProjects/AmsterdamCoin-v4On launch I will update the OP with the new specifications.

I've downloaded the amsterdam wallet v3.1.0.0-61403 - on a raspberry pi linux platform.
Its sync'ing incredibly slow. Stuck at around 24000 blocks (1 year 37weeks behind) - Is there an issue with the wallet sync as I've sync several wallets on pi and had no issues.
Please note, I'm syncing it as the only program running on the pi with the CPU usage under 20% and no read/write bottleneck that i can tell. Its also connected through Ethernet with 37mb/s download speed.
Is there a bootstrap available for the wallet or a setting I need to alter to improve the sync?
This is a known issue and we are working on the new wallet.

Any updates guys?
Still working on the wallet. There was no getwork in this wallet so I am building that. We had some compatibilty problems with the current getblocktemplate. I dont want to over hurry this. It will require some thoroughly testing. It all just takes a bit more time than I initialy thought. Thanks for the update. Masternodes will work on the new platform too? Any estimate before on time of when the new Masternodes come out? Thanks Sure masternodes will work too. I hope that within one week we will have the public beta version of the new wallet.

Dev, you should contact coryvmcs1 or whatever his name was, he posted here. They edited the source somehow to make it work for the pool, contact them maybe?
I decided to create a new Amsterdamcoin based on the current Bitcoin code. Lean and mean without PoS or masternodes. Keeping in mind the goal of this coin as payment option. Lots of things were already done for Bitcoin and thats where we profit. I think thats the best way to go. Please let me know if anyone has a better idea. In the last month several PoW only coins were victims of 51% attacks and double spend attacks. These were coins with considerable value to make it worth renting the hashing power to perform the attacks. So, if the new coin does not have the difficulty of BTC or LTC, you will need to deal with a threat that is not dealt with even in the newer code base of Bitcoin. Choose your coin algo wisely, but even CPU only algos will be GPU mine-able someday and that is when the 51% attacks will come, after you have worked hard to build up the value of the coin. Hybrids do have advantages, with or without Masternodes. Plan for the future and make a PoS coin. Give up the PoW religious nonsense. It works for only the biggest coins, and isn't necessary for chain security. It is great for distribution because it is "fair" but shitty for chain security. Look how many PoW coins got hacked. Even the WBB dev said at some point that WBB would NEVER be PoS. Now they have to go to PoS and he has to eat his religious words. Do the right thing and go with PoS from the start. The PoW religious fanatics hate the suggestion, but they are delusional and shouldn't be listened to. After 180 days of mining there will be only PoS and Masternodes. Please read the new coin specifications (as also posted above) - Algorithm XEVAN (PoW and Spork messages)
- 60 seconds block time
- Difficulty retarget every block (Kimoto gravity well v3)
- 100.000 AMS masternode collateral
- Darksend (Obfuscation)
- InstantX (SwiftTX)
- PoS 3.0 protocol
- Seesaw reward balancing
- PoW block rewards: [block# 2-151200] 7.5 AMS [block# 151201-259200] 5 AMS
- PoW rewards breakdown:

- [block’s 43201-151200] 20% MN (1.5 AMS) / 70% MINER (5.25 AMS) / 10% Available to the budget system (0.75 AMS)

I think we better go with something which has master nodes.
Master node purchases may boost the coin sales huge. I would rather go as a DASH or PIVX clone instead of Bitcoin.
As the poll points out for now we will be using PIVX With or without the see-saw rewards? Yes it will have Seesaw. Specifications will be: - Algorithm XEVAN (PoW and Spork messages)
- 60 seconds block time
- Difficulty retarget every block (Kimoto gravity well v3)
- 100.000 AMS masternode collateral
- Darksend (Obfuscation)
