If you had your Solaris on txbit during the swap then you should of received the new Solaris coins. Yes KYC is now mandatory on txbit as due to European government regulations. I believe you can still trade however when it comes to time to withdraw you must do KYC.
It seems to me that the introduction of KYC contradicts the very concept of cryptocurrency as an alternative to the existing banking system. No payment system can work without measures against money laundering and financing of terrorism. If you want cryptocurrency to be a true alternative to banks, you will have to accept that it will be a regulated environment. The wild west times are done for cryptocurrency. Welcome to the real world. Would you rather cooperate in financing terrorism than undergo KYC?

|
I expect txbit.io to fail rather soon, unless they remove the KYC requirements. There is no liquidity or volume, so it appears money laundering would be quite impossible.
Did you ever think about the fact that running an exchange without KYC in the Netherlands is illegal and will most certainly cause a failure? Fortune telling is not your strongest competence so it seems. Don't quit your day job! (if employed, but I doubt it)
|
|
|
I'd recommend you to consider non KYC exchanges as well
I would also like that however I read in the Solaris Discord several days ago that they won't be listing Solaris on any exchange that doesn't have KYC so I guess we just have to get used to the idea that we'll never see Solaris listed on an exchange with no KYC. I do however think that the team should look at getting Solaris listed on StakeCube which I have said many times in here as they do have KYC but for withdrawals over 1k USD daily, anything under that and there is no KYC for now. BTW it was also an argument there that CMC required at least 2 exchanges for listing. So XLR actually does not fulfil the criterion as for now. Strict KYC policy can kill the coin Strict KYC policies are required to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing. On top of that, any exchange without KYC is illegal in the European Union. We do not work with illegal businesses. Please review the European fourth anti money laundering directive.

Kess, what's up with the AMS wallet on Txbit? It is not available for deposits and withdrawals. When will it be repaired?
Txbit Maintenance wallet Kess ignores, possibly busy, for a week already, I wrote to the mail about swap - no answer since 22/07 Sorry for the inconvenience. I am working on a solution. Even I need a little break sometimes

... SNIP
Wallet restored according to this instruction I want to transfer coins to another wallet. Two amounts transferred normally I can’t translate the balance of 68,000. gives an error message: something went wrong Unsupported scriptPubKey Wallet re-synchronized, does not help What is the problem ? Recover your wallet by using the 12-word mnemonic and it should be all right. Phrase recovery doesn't help Sync goes fine, but sending coins fails error message: something went wrong Unsupported scriptPubKey Yes, I also have this issue after recovering my wallet . You should check this issue and help us to send coins to another wallet. This is not an issue of the wallet. You guys just open/close/open/close the wallet too fast. Restart your computer and start it again. Only posting screenshots will not help. I cannot do anything with those. LimxDev should know this very well as he is also a dev. I need more information, log files or whatever you have.

What is the best way to update the wallet? Uninstall and start from the scratch? Or just start the new wallet file?
You can run the new and the old wallet together at the same time if you like. So just start the new one

Dear members of the AmsterdamCoin community, The swap is open again until the 14th of August: https://txbit.io/Swaps
|
|
|
The AmsterdamCoin wallet now has improved connectivity. We have enabled seed node discovery through DNS. This will improve the way how the wallet software finds connections. In case you are currently stuck, please try this procedure: 1) Backup your wallet 2) Remove all data from the data directory including the wallet3) Start the wallet software 4) Create a new wallet 5) Let it fully sync 6) Restore your wallet (preferably by using your 12-word seed phrase)
|
|
|
No connections and no synchronization. Kess how to solve it?
Hi Greg, I don't have this problem, but I guess that a copy of my peers file would help: https://amsterdamcoin.com/peers.zipExtract the peers.json into the data directory, overwriting the existing.

Dear members of the AmsterdamCoin community, I am happy to release this new version of AmsterdamCoin to you! This release should fix the issue that some (or most) people experience on the startup of the wallet software. Please let me know how it works for you. The swap will open up again very soon and will be extended by 2 weeks: https://txbit.io/SwapsDESKTOP WALLETS WITH GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACEDAEMONS THAT RUN (QUITE WELL) ON A SERVER

Hello,
I bought AmsterdamCoins on 06.2018 and secured the wallet.
It was a coincidence today that I looked at the news. Now there was a SWAP and the time to transfer the coins to the new wallet was over.
What possibilities are there for people like me who bought coins and have just saved them on their wallets and sometimes no longer look?
Many thanks
Don't worry, the swap will open again for 2 weeks after the wallet update (as mentioned above) has been released. More news will follow later

|
|
I think I might found the bug for the hanging wallets. I will release a new version very soon. People who missed the swap because of this issue will have an additional week to swap. No worries.

There is no 'node txt or debug log as the program never loads far enough to create a log. Appears to go to a single src or image after timing out.
Could you please open a cmd.exe and run: "C:\Program Files\AmsterdamCoin\resources\daemon\Stratis.AmsterdamCoinD.exe" Then please post the output here. I am unable to reproduce the situation so I am dependent on the people to provide me with some information.

I have tried 2 or 3 clean installs and all the same. Wallet doesn't load. Using latest win10 and have no problems with other wallets. Suggest from the readings here and on Discord there is a bug in the startup. Tried running as Administrator with the same result stuck on the loading screen. Seems to unpack ok and allows for selection of where to store data etc, but no cli file and the gui doesn't work.
I have tried everything that I can to get my wallet to load again but nothing is working and like I have said many times before, I am using the Solaris wallet which is the same as the new AMS wallet and it is working perfectly and never had any problems with it so far. There must be a bug like you said in the start up of the AMS wallet and this needs to be looked into by the dev. Would it be possible to post or PM me the log file? It a file called node.txt which is located in the log directory of the data directory. Thanks in advance!

All problems should be resolved now!
What was the problem? The old blockchain stalled because masternode payments were enforced while there was no masternode active in the network. All proof of stake blocks were rejected and the chain got stuck for about 4 days.
How did you solve it? I started the wallet using the spork key which allowed me to disable the enforcement of masternode payments. With a modified wallet I was able to create a new block through proof of stake. After that, all available nodes started staking again and the blockchain is rolling again.
What about missing swaps? All missing swaps should be paid automatically by the swap service on Txbit Exchange. If this is not the case for you then let me know. Just drop me a PM here on the forum, or create a support ticket on Txbit Exchange.

For the first time since using the new wallet, my wallet is stuck on the loading screen and won't allow me to log in. Its the first time it has happened to me so I was just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem with the wallet just stuck on the loading screen? I have closed it and tried again but the same thing, I even let it sit for 20 minutes or so and then it goes to the city screen and doesn't allow me to log in.
Yes, a couple of people have had the same problem. My only solution was reinstalling the wallet. But you have to delete the folders AmsterdamCoin and AmsterdamCoinNode otherwise the problem persist. I have tried several things but i didn't find another solution. Is someone does find another method let me know... The only problem is will I lose all the coins that I have staked in the past couple of weeks because I haven't backed up the file that is used for staking. I know this because Solaris is the same wallet and the team said to back up the file for staking in case something happens. I forgot to do it with AMS so I'm guessing that I have lost all them coins I have staked. That's only the case with cold staking. Our next release (also Solaris) will have a fix for that.
