1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / New mining pool for HTML5 coin ... v1 on: January 01, 2018, 04:44:39 AM
I just noticed that a new pool is up for mining HTML5 coin, still in 1 for 1 swap for HTMLCOIN for those that are interested. I wonder, where will HTML5 go in 2018?

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HTMLCOIN & HTML BLOCKCHAIN 2017 on: December 31, 2017, 12:30:32 AM
I really wanted to invest in HTML, but this problem with HTML or HTML5 or swap problems or Yobit or etc etc is keeping me away.. Bye

All coins have bumps of some kind, the difference with our community ... we fight for our community and value them above everything else. Swap is going great, the problem with Yobit was on their end. They don't have the best customer service, but our community protected. Keep an eye on HTMLCOIN, it will be worth it!

Thanks for comments and interest, even if today is not the day for you!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HTMLCOIN & HTML BLOCKCHAIN 2017 on: December 31, 2017, 12:27:42 AM
It's nice to see that HTML project is moving and becomes batter than it was... but i cant figure out, if my "old" HTML5 is on YObit, for example, is it necessary  to swap coins by my own, or just wait for exchange that will do it by itself?

Visit https://swap.htmlcoin.com/ , withdraw coins from yobit, but make sure you have new v2.0.1+ wallet downloaded and sync'd. Follow easy process and will be done in no time!
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee Bets His Manhood that BTC will reach $1 mil by 2020 on: December 29, 2017, 03:35:14 PM
I agree with the group here, but I do wonder how many new people will seek out BTC because they heard his prediction and only know of him and the antivirus guy! Now that said, I sure would not mind ... lol, still have a couple BTC I paid $50 for. That would be one hell of an ROI.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction unconfirmed, as usual, willing to tip on: December 24, 2017, 12:24:13 AM
I had a stuck transaction from a few days ago, finally last night I did the viaBTC and paid the $5.50 LTC and it was confirmed within 8 hours. Well worth the funds, so something to think about.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you ❤️ crypto??? on: December 23, 2017, 10:59:09 PM
I love the connection and opportunities crypto provide to connect. At HTMCLOIN we have a huge community, our telegram in the thousands and yet it still feels comfortable. It is awesome to see the different, amazing projects that are coming live this spring and understanding how it affects those members is really amazing. Crypto gives the power back to the individual and is still a wide-open frontier of innovation and discovery.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McDonalds to accept Bitcoin by 2018 on: December 23, 2017, 05:26:16 PM
Does that even make sense with the current transaction times and fees? You are going to pay more for the fees than for your meal. Unless the fees go down drastically, it makes no sense to use bitcoin as a daily payment method.

using lightning sure its possible!

Agreed, using BTC for direct transactions would make no sense, but them creating the MCD token or perhaps using an internal blockchain like the exchanges might work. But, as long as crypto becomes more useable, I am all for it. I can say this though, I sure don't want to wait for my burger while confirmations occur!
8  Economy / Services / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BITCOIN TRANSACTION ACCELERATION SERVICE [ 100% FREE ] 🔥🔥🔥 on: December 23, 2017, 05:22:54 PM
Hello all with stuck transactions, I tried here and didn't see any response and finally did the paid version of viaBTC. It cost me about $5.50 in LTC and the transaction concluded within about 6 hours. If you need your BTC and extra $5.50 is worth it, I had success last night.

This is a very interesting idea. One of m students made a live Win10 that was bootable from the USB and said he used this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XDZb61bDTE

Hope it helps, and keep us posted on how this adventures goes for you.

Progress is solving old problems and developing the opportunity to gain new ones! 2018 is going to be strong, and the swap from Yobit is one last hurdle to a fresh new year! Watch how we grow this new year!
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction unconfirmed, as usual, willing to tip on: December 20, 2017, 11:39:18 PM
Do these accelerators actually help? I have had a transaction pending for about 6 hours and as luck has it, it was a small block so I assume it has very little priority. What happens to a transaction that never gets a boost?

This is an odd site for McAfee Coin, comes up with a phishing scam alert on the page. Fits the John McAfee oddity, whether he is a part or not!

This is very interesting, I am glad that services like this are being developed and maintained! My question is about sustainability: How does this service remain sustainable? I am a security researcher and looking at ways to use the blockchain in new ways related to security and of course, sustaining is important. Though many seek Zuckerberg cash flow, I just want to ensure that new, good products remain available and in use. Thoughts?

thanks in advance,
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone using the blockchain for security, ID, copyright etc? on: December 19, 2017, 10:28:35 PM
Awesome, thanks for your feedback! Cryptocurrencies are growing so fast, it is hard to keep up.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Anyone using the blockchain for security, ID, copyright etc? on: December 19, 2017, 09:53:17 PM
I am seeking to collaborate with security researchers and DAPP developers that are using the blockchain in new and creative ways in information security. Additionally, I am looking for partner at university interested in publishing.

Message me if you are interested, or can make a recommendation! Thank you!
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did you learn from Bitcoin? on: December 19, 2017, 09:23:46 PM
I have learned to think outside the box ... to look at innovation through the eyes of a child. Over the last 4 years, I have been amazed not only at the price of bitcoin and others, as well as the products that have spawned from this simple white paper. As a security researcher, I am excited to see how infosec will embrace the blockchain this next year ... all hail the start of 2018!
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alternative Block Chains : be safe! on: December 19, 2017, 07:54:34 PM
All these years later, this advice is more important! So many blockchains being developed because we now have ICOs, so many tokens created by anyone with an idea. Beware is a message that we must stick with, especially with BTC at about $20,000 -> greed will overrun common sense. Thanks for such a great post,

**************************************

On the 18th November, the HTML5 coin has started the process to swap from HTML5 (old coin) to HTML (new coin) on a new hybrid blockchain platform. The new platform brings the project up to date with a full feature modern blockchain:

Video link : https://youtu.be/_de5nNiHWcY

Details on the new platform and project are included in our whitepaper at www.htmlcoin.com/whitepaper

New and Roadmap Features of the Platform include:
1. Uses both the Bitcoin core (0.14) and Ether Client (CPP) codebase allowing Ether Virtual Machines to run on the more secure/stable Bitcoin UTXO model
2. QTUM compatibility layer which allows smart contracts, multiple tokens, and EVM to run on UTXO, as well as easy porting of existing Ethereum and Solidity Smart Contracts
3. Proof Of Work (POW 1%) and Blackcoin's Proof Of Stake 3.0 (POS 1%) to ensure efficiency and security
4. Enhanced Hash Rate Compensation adjusts every 120 blocks with short, medium, and long block time samples make fairer and faster 60s blocktimes.
5. Oracles built on top of the Ethereum Virtual Machine allow off chain settlement of Smart Contracts with authorized data feeds like weather or stock prices
6. Real-Time Checkpointing protects the history of the chain from being changed by 51% attacks by broadcasting block height and hash of the main chain.
7. Simple Payment Verification SPV allows Android or iOS mobile wallet to authenticate a transaction or Smart Contract without downloading the entire blockchain (planned q1 2018)

HTMLCOIN is a community-driven project to deliver a high feature smart contract/EVM/DAPP compatible platform which will be used to bring meaningful and broad adoption of blockchain technologies.  Through our global community of 20000+, we plan on providing people with the tools, support, and resources to make this happen. Htmlcoin is about empowering people and creating opportunities. Ultimately, we envision a “humanized” blockchain rather than something only accessible to a technological elite

Swap updates:
If your holdings are on exchanges (Yobit, Bleutrade, Coingather), swap from HTML5 to HTML will be automatic. If your holdings are in a local wallet you can swap with the self-swapping webform available later on 20th November.  Don't panic, self-swapping at 1:1 will be available for 60 days before the ratio reduces to 2:1 (days 61-90) and 3:1 (days 91-105), the swap offer closes on day 105. The new QT Wallet will be made available from the HTMLCOIN GIT repository on 20th November prior to the swap completing.

HTMLCOIN is not a security:
The HTMLCOIN project is building a new blockchain as a utility for the coins/tokens on it, which are a store of value and a medium of exchange, the value of the coins is something dictated by the markets and not the Foundation.  Put simply, all the coins are out there and have been mined/forged/minted, and you are selling them to each other for what you think they are worth.  The HTMLCOIN Foundation is only interested in getting the best technology in place to secure the future of the HTMLCOIN blockchain, and gain broad adoption of secure distributed ledger technology.  No one from the Foundation will discuss the value of HTMLCOIN or encourage its purchase on exchanges.  Any comments that may be construed this way are private views and not those of the Foundation.

Information Releases:
For the next few weeks, we expect misleading information and spoofing of our sites.  The only authoritative source of information are the HTML Foundation social feeds, websites and GITHUB.  If in doubt, confirm with at least two officers of the Foundation.

DON'T PANIC:  NO ONE WHO WANTS TO PARTICIPATE WILL GET LEFT BEHIND.  WE ARE HERE TO HELP

You'll find us hanging out at https://t.me/htmlcoinofficial most of the time
