It is the common consensus that if bitcoin rises then altcoins also rise. However since altcoins are mostly priced in btc why would the rise of btc cause altcoins to rise? Wouldn't the lower price of btc cause altcoins to rise in btc price? Why is the opposite the common view?

There is a good support @ 150$, if all hell breaks loose, atleast this level can hold. But i dont know, Huobi ,Bitfinex and Bitstamp got some nice big juicy buy orders, so we could see a double bottom forming at 197$ and then it could rally. However if it drops to 150$ then I will buy them all  If not then I will wait until the junk shorts clear out and buy @ 210-230 remember that double bottom at 297? LOL |

This coin is massively undervalued. The multipool will drive up demand so in order to take advantage of the situation you have to buy the dip, which is now, the formation of a new bubble. The volume is there and this coin has shown plenty of action on exchanges.

with my hashrate I pull approx .01 btc in 24 hours if good blocks are found. Uno suffers from low hashrate I gather so I am wondering why I would mine UNO directly instead of btc and buy UNO.

look at the big picture. Regardless if you buy at 270 right now or 300 or even 400, if the price of bitcoin hits the ath again you will have made a profit regardless. Just buy, hodl, and be patient.
