361  Other / Meta / Re: Hey i want to know is posting same product on two bitcointalk accounts on: April 13, 2020, 09:40:27 PM
Not sure how that could increase sales! Unless you are planning to use these accounts to keep bumping your threads and avoid the 24 hours bumping limit.
It might be considered as cheating.

Technically, you will break three rules/guidelines and using multiple accounts won't matter since they are managed by the same person and advertising the same product:

1:
13. Bumps, "updates" are limited to once per 24 hours
2:
30. Similar marketplace items must be listed together
3:
12. No duplicate posting

Yes, that seems to fully cover it.  He removed the ALT thread sales for which I give him kudos as since it was the right thing to do and @Virtual Reality I did remove that post from your thread.
362  Other / Meta / Re: Sellers using SELLY and other off-site sales "stores" (in Digital Goods). on: April 13, 2020, 06:29:01 PM
I didn't notice that part of the rules before, but I'd love to see that rule enforced. Bitcointalk shouldn't just be used to advertised online shops that are most likely scams, at least the trades should happen on the forum.
That would definitely get my vote.  Cheesy

Here's an example.  This totally scam thread won't go away.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;threads;u=1227343;sa=showPosts   The low-life scammer who "owns" it comes back every few days and bumps it.

Does that mean using Selly and the myriads of other similar sites is prohibited in Digital Goods?
Yes, I believe those websites belong to the prohibited category.

Is it "technically" not permitted?
To an extent.
- Not sure but I've seen a lot of these types of threads remain for at least a week or longer [I don't normally track such threads for a long time] and some might never get deleted if nobody reports them.
There  have some that have been going strong for months and a couple for up to a couple years on Digital Goods until the TS got banned.   Weird part is after the starter of that thread got banned the thread remained up.  I wonder how the mods would handle that "rule" if reported.
363  Other / Meta / Sellers using SELLY and other off-site sales "stores" (in Digital Goods). on: April 12, 2020, 11:32:03 PM
Been reading the Bitcoin Talk rules recently and saw the one copied below in the GUIDELINES FOR THREADS section of the rules list.  Does that mean using Selly and the myriads of other similar sites is prohibited in Digital Goods?  That is the goto modus operandi these days it seems for scammers (as well as a few non-scammers).  Is it "technically" not permitted?

Quote
Digital goods (child board of Goods) - Trades of digital goods on-forum for Bitcoin (except for invites and accounts). If you are selling goods on another site (e.g. have an online store), it doesn't belong here.
364  Other / Meta / Re: [BitCoinTalk][COVID-19] Grim Reality on: April 11, 2020, 03:13:10 AM
Sadly, COVID has also becomes the excuse du jour for scammers as in "I have Covid so I can't refund you or send you what you paid for."  I have personally experienced that twice.  First one (see last post and neg he left me and his current "trust"): http://archive.fo/QmjZb  (he never refunded anyone) and the other one was in a PM to me.  I'm 72 and hiding under my bed.

This seller has 2 active user accounts (ALTS) on this forum under 2 different names which usually points to a scammer.  Note the telegram account in the first post of each:

This seller: http://archive.fo/yZwor

Pleae Follow Rule No 18.

18. Having multiple accounts and account sales are allowed, but account sales are discouraged.

My last free bump for you:

Never said multiple accounts aren't allowed, what I do say is users with multiple accounts posting here in this section are very often scammers.
Since you are so good with the rules, please follow these as well:

13. Bumps, "updates" are limited to once per 24 hours.

21. Old bumps should be deleted.

30. Similar marketplace items must be listed together.

32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

This scam has been posted twice before.  The script you have to use is a SCAM to steal your bitcoin.  And the 1 post newbie vouch (and likely many others to follow) is obviously a fake as well.  You have been warned.

Here is the explanation from Legendary member BITSPILL:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5223809.msg53867896#msg53867896

This is a scam without a doubt.  If it smells like a fish and looks like a fish, it's bullshit. Cheesy You will likely get nothing or you will get hacked accounts.  Looks like another Damie account to me.

Now this clown in the current last post in his thread (http://archive.fo/QmjZb)  is claiming is  in quarantine yet he still leaves up his LOCKED thread including his scamming OP and leaves up his scamming  SHOPPY and is still selling these fake codes that he claims he is issuing refunds for.  Scammers just keep on scamming around here with unfortunately no way to stop them.  So sad.  Hey, scamboi, I assume you are following this, so please keep my $33 (I've lost a lot more than that from scum like you) and buy yourself dinner then choke on it.  Hopefully no one is around since you are (LMFAO) "under quarantine."  Another soon to be scammer just recently gave me that same excuse. http://archive.fo/QmjZb post #49.

Here's a couple flags you can SUPPORT on this low-life:

SCAMMER.  BEWARE.   These codes are worthless if you'd actually even get one.
373  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAMMER] "Anonym1337x" Selling 🔥Hotels.com Coupons 98% off 🔥 on: March 15, 2020, 03:29:03 PM
Honestly no, I didn't read the T&C first but the FIRST coupon I got (which he gave me for free) worked and a reservation was made despite the fact my location or the hotel location was not in the UK.  Sadly I had to cancel that one anyway due COVID-19 shutting the place down (Disney in Florida). The same day I PAID FOR a second coupon and it did not work. The T&C are no different than many other things posted here.  It was obviously a "hole" in their system which many were crawling into.

As an update, two weeks ago (now deleted) he posted in his locked thread in post #48 (rather than just PM'img me) that I should PM him and he will send me a refund.  That was after 2 "requests" and two "promises" 2 weeks  or so ago. I advised him that if he does send me a refund I will post that fact but still will not remove tag or neg rep.

Hello guys,
PREMISE:
Anonym1337x has ben not honest providing refunds, and trying to create a new account just for selling other codes.  Ok, We ALL agree with that, and he is clearly a SCAMMER for that.

But now speaking to the buyers.... has anyone read terms and conditions of these code?
I mean, maybe these code are not working anymore due these T&C?  Please find below a "selection" of these T&C taken from this link....
https://uk.hotels.com/booking/coupon_terms_conditions.html?couponName=c..Y9OtmsMiDT_3ttEbkjS88Q..
I refused to made any booking after reading these T&C despite I have received a free code (400 euro value)

"This coupon is only valid for Tesco Clubcard members."

"To use this coupon, you must be over 18 years old and resident in the United Kingdom. You may only use this coupon for bookings made between 12:01 am MT on 21/04/2017 and 11:59pm MT on 31/12/2021 on the UK version of Hotels.com for a stay to be completed between 21/04/2017 and 31/12/2023. Bookings are subject to availability and the hotel’s terms and conditions."

" It’s void where prohibited by law. Improper use of the coupon by you is prohibited and could be construed as fraud. We reserve the right to change or withdraw this offer at any time and to cancel any bookings made where the coupon has been used to make any speculative, false or fraudulent bookings or any bookings in anticipation of demand."

Since no one else who got scammed flagged him I did.

I did get 1 code for free that worked but had to cancel the reservation because COVID-19 shut the place down then I actually bought one off his Selly.

Coupon was dead and he promised refund which never got made.

Just to make it official so I can flag account (not that it matters) Hash of $33 payment to scammer's Selly:  0627a2d2986aa6faf840c9551a114aa6b3eca9225111dcb54f7d2baf85c9fa63

Now he is bumping his LOCKED THREAD with fake accounts.
375  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAMMER] "Anonym1337x" Selling 🔥Hotels.com Coupons 98% off 🔥 on: March 13, 2020, 07:57:50 PM
The sad part is that his post remains up and his SELLY remains active which means he will continue to sell what he KNOWS is bad which makes it a SCAM plain and simple rather than just a deal gone bad which often happens around here. He also promised refunds which did not happen.  I lost $33.  I did get 1 code for free that worked but had to cancel the reservation because COVID-19 shut the place down.

I guess is he's gone until he comes back with a new account.

376  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [HOT] £500 off UK Hotels.com coupons at 4% only <<WORLDWIDE>> <EXTRA DISCOUNT> on: March 12, 2020, 01:08:34 PM
I can confirm that there was only one box to put the coupon in when I checked this thing earlier and i am not sure what happened later while that offer was raped hard from these guys who wanted to sell these coupons for only 2-4% of their values which was ridiculous.
I can only speak for reservations FROM inside the US where it is  D-E-A-D and not coming back.  And it was a link that said "ENTER TESCO CODE HERE" and when you clicked on it a 2nd box came up for the code. Google around for TESCO HOTELS. I don't think any of you posting in these threads have actually FULLY USED a code to see how it works.  If you are in the UK or elsewhere I have no idea.  The TOS also says "FOR UK REASIDENTS ONLY."   As of now my reservation seems to be good but with the Corona Virus I doubt I will even be able to use it as I am well into the "dangerous age group."

^ What you just marked was there even before, it is not from yesterday.

YES, this was always there which shows it was PROBLEM WITH THEIR SYSTEM which has since been CLOSED which means they know what's going on and killed it.
You think this will be "abuseable" forever and they are going to continue to pay the hotels from their bank accounts forever for all these fake reservations?  It's no different than all the Starbucks, Spotify, Pandora and other similar "deals" that have failed as soon as all the morons spread it like the corona virus around the world. Again, I only can speak to FROM THE USA reservations from my experience but I highly doubt ANY of them will work any longer. These are multi-million dollar corporations, they aren't totally blind to what's happening.

377  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [98% OFF]HOTELS.COM COUPONS[110£-160-£200-£300-£350-£450-750£]OPENING SALE on: March 12, 2020, 04:22:24 AM
So the USA reservations still works! Can you Private message me I had love to know more and get myself a USA booking code if available.
I don't think it works anywhere anymore from what I have been reading but I can only speak for a US reservation made FROM inside the US and the answer (for me) is NO, NOT ANY MORE.  It worked for me the last 2 days but not today.  That is MY experience, YMMV.

I guess they "fixed" the hole that allowed USA folk to use the coupon:

That's surprising. I have a user on another forum still selling hotels.com USA coupons at 60% of it's original value. Not sure how is that still possible, when it's already fixed. He claims to be having these vouchers legally and have been giving 1 year warranty towards is and guaranteed confirmation, else refund.

Surprising, really? This guy in this thread has a 30 MINUTE GUARANTEE (go into his Selly and click on any item)!  Last time he logged in was 22 hours ago.  Really?  You don't think HOTELS.COM is wondering why suddenly there are thousands of $200-$500 coupons floating around that they have to pay out to the hotels that got booked?   They aren't really THAT dumb. There was one here too with same guarantee and now his thread is locked so he can fix it and "give refunds."   Good luck.  Maybe it will work for you. it's your money.  I got one $500 room successfully booked at Disney  but can't get anymore anywhere else even in small hotels in NJ for 2 months from now and I highly expect the Disney one to be canceled.

No more free bumps from me for this thread.  There are enough fake newbies around here bumping all these threads and creating more of them.  Good luck. Smiley

Sandy, it is not for USA. I asked my old customer from USA to check it and he can see message and space for codes.

Maybe you clicked to hotel that doesn't support those kind of codes.

Your customer sees the HOTELS.COM CODE BOX NOT THE TESCO CODE BOX.  THEY WERE 2 SEPARATE PLACES TO ENTER CODES yesterday.

You are also WRONG because I successfully booked a $500/night hotel at Walt Disney in the US 2 nights ago FROM here inside the USA.  Like I said before it is entirely possible they have since changed that and it no longer works from INSIDE USA to a USA Hotel.  At that time it did.

I bought a 2nd coupon for a 3 nite stay elsewhere in the USA which LAST NIGHT worked in 5 different hotels that listed TESCO COUPON and still show them accepted located in another state here in the US. At that time There was a SPECIAL BOX FOR TESCO CODES. I didn't actually complete the reservation but I did APPLY THE CODE and it worked fine and gave me the proper credit at each place (you apply the codes BEFORE payment).  When I cancel the unbooked reservation the code was restored.

TODAY when I went back to the 5 hotels that took the coupon yesterday the TESCO COUPON BOX did not show  just as in the screen prints above by your fellow seller, only the "regular" hotels.com/uk coupon box was available. The TESCO SPECIFIC BOX no longer is there.  Again, this is for USA hotel with USA purchase. Don't know about outside US.  However your buddies screen prints DO NOT show the TESCO box either

The reservation in the screen print below is a $525 USD/night hotel so quite obviously the coupon worked 2 days ago booking from IN THE US to a US hotel.

I think the reason everyone is saying their codes don't work now is because they are entering them in the HOTELS.CO/UK coupon box and not the non-existent TESCO SPECIFIC BOX which is no longer there.

And you can see I was charged for it (with a foreign transaction fee).

380  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [HOT] £500 off UK Hotels.com coupons at 4% only <<WORLDWIDE>> <EXTRA DISCOUNT> on: March 11, 2020, 11:33:48 PM

That "COUPON BOX" is NOT for the TESCO coupons just the regular web coupons.  Have you tried entering one? When I did the one that worked yesterday there was a specific box that said "ENTER TESCO COUPON".

Try it with one you have.  If you don't do the final booking the code won't be used up.  I think it's DEAD and certainly not surprised and I expect the one I already booked to be cancelled. I only hope they refund my $75 in taxes.

This reminds me of all the SPOTIFY deals of years past.  Obvious quick FAIL.
