Do not trust this person. He's a thief and will steal your money: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1103279.0
I will not cease to bring justice and send him to jail
362  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Waldohoover / coiningsolutions.com stole 16.64122524 btc on: June 29, 2015, 12:57:38 PM
I see that he does have some reputation however from the looks of it, he has not been trusted with anywhere near 16 BTC at one time. If he was refusing escrow then you should not not gone through with the deal.

It also appears that the screenshot is most likely not the only communication with him. Do you have any additional chat/PM logs, including one where he either gives you a payment address and/or confirms receipt of the funds? If you click "quote" and then paste the text in this thread then it will be much easier to read verses posting a screenshot.
Thank you for your interest.
As I already wrote, I already know now I should never have trusted him that much. These kind of comments will only make me feel worse. I already know not to trust anyone again. I say this now to you and to whoever more is thinking of saying the same thing.

This thread is being constantly updated. I only posted one picture because I wanted to see if it was possible to use spoiler tags to make the thread cleaner, but I don't think it is possible. More screenshots are being provided.
Thank you for your input and please help me by leaving negative trust feedback for him.
363  Economy / Scam Accusations / Waldohoover (aka coiningsolutions.com / DidHeJust ) stole 16.64122524 btc on: June 29, 2015, 10:47:11 AM
EDIT 7/1/15: I removed irrelevant information from the case. I changed thread's title and removed Waldo's information since he is now willing to deal, even though at as of now absurd terms.
I stopped contacting any other person or community. I had many more people, groups, community, people he works with, justice and law enforcement to contact, spread information and seek help but I will try to solve everything here, in this thread and publicly, for now.

Thank you for your interest. This thread is being constantly updated and more information added.
Please verify the how you can help section.

What happened:
Waldohoover stole 16.64122524 btc from me.

How:
1) I pay waldohoover on the 6th may for 32 antminer s3.
2) He says pallet will be delivered to shipping company in a day and at my house in a few weeks
3) Weeks later, he changes shipment method to best suit him
4) Weeks later he cancels the deal, blames me for it and sells the products to other people
5) He charges me absurd, unlawful and made up fees, stalls me and ends up disappearing with my entire money

During all this time I was kind and offered Waldo other shipment methods, apologized, thanked and offered him a discount. On the other hand, after being paid Waldo never apologized or thanked for anything, treated me in a extremely condescending way I wasn't ever treated worst before and charges me many absurd fees. He gave up on making up stuff and stalling to finally scam me in the end.
Dealing with this person is a nightmare and an ordeal. He is an horrible person, businessman and will rob you, specially if you have no recourse such as being poor or/and live abroad.
After nearly 2 months of scam I open this thread, where most people would do so in a few days instead of two months. Before being paid he was nice and attentive.
In the first week of negotiation I informed him I could not afford to lose money because I was going to have a family in days from then.

PM/Chat Logs:

Waldo denies escrow, says I will have pallet at my door in a few weeks at best

Waldo before being paid

Waldo's excellent customer service treatment after being paid, holding my money for 1 month. Notice how he said he would send me my money... 3 weeks ago!

My last email to him, june 26th morning. Ignored.

Other information about him:
Removed as Waldo now is trying to make a deal, even though absurd.

How you can help:
Send me any information you may have linking to this person
Remove any good feedback or post about him
Leave him bad trust feedback here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=101143

Comments: Waldohoover stole 16.64122524 BTC from chalkboard17. Will remove this once the matter is settled. Highly advice you not to trade with him until then. More information available here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1103279

He is now willing to negotiate and his account is already very red as it is. I have no intention to kick who already is on the floor so I think no more is necessary, for now. To those who did it, please keep it there while this is sorted. Thanks a lot to everyone who helped with this!

With your help, you will send a message that bitcoin users do not comply with theft and scamming! Most importantly, you will prevent more people be robbed by Waldo Hoover!
I ask you to please help me, my kid and the future victims of this person. Thank you!

Additional Notes:
I was saving this money for years and when my girlfriend became pregnant I decided to fully use it for my child who was born on the 29th may. My father-in-law allowed me to use his solar panels for mining and I would use the revenue for my kid. Indirectly, Waldo who is rich, adult and lives in a rich country, stole from a poor newborn kid from a 3rd world country.
If you want to spam for your signature campaign saying I should have used escrow or blaming me for being stolen please do this somewhere else. Waldo refused to escrow and he had some reputation. I already know not to trust anyone now and I am carrying too much of a burden as it is.

My guess is he did want to send it at first, however he faced problems and instead of facing his own responsibility he decided to blame me and take my money.
He was unable to send it and cancelled it. I could blame him but I didn't. I was nice enough to offer him a 0.15 btc discount + disregard btc price drop + disregard the mining revenue lost. I was rewarded by him doing to me everything I should have done to him and didn't. This guy cannot be a businessman here and nowhere else.

I have been quiet and silent for a month and half, however I am having a nightmare-like (to say the least!) problem dealing with this person. While this is not settled, I highly recommend, for your own sake, that you halt any negotiation you do with him.
This seems to be an empty post because am I expecting one last contact from this person tonight, and should this not happen I will release all information here and many other places so you can be the judge. If this is settled, however, I will delete this post (or make a new one if many people have read or replied to this explaining how it ended.)

Someone else has sent me some valuable information. Any information about them is valuable, actually.
I would gladly share the information publicly but 1) nobody cares 2) some of them involve personal information about people who may be the perpetrators.
I lost little compared to the grand scheme of things, however I am appalled on how complacent everyone else is being. I only got one single contact from one other person. No wonder scams happen all the time regarding bitcoin, its users don't care and this is one of the driving forces that keep the mass away from it.

It seems I could possibly have found one of them. I am still searching and looking, and any help is appreciated. Laugh all you want and call me crazy, but you steal 0.1 or 1000 btc from me and I will go to the end of world to take it back. If you who read this don't care about other people taking money of your pocket then it's not my problem.
370  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [CLOSING JUNE 30] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+NMC, Stratum, VarDiff, Private Servers on: June 17, 2015, 02:57:09 AM
Yeah, Eligius and Ghash are the only pools without fees as of now. Besides eligius doing all that, ghash also 51%'d bitcoin. What's worst, who is to say these (or any other pool) isn't sometimes stealing some hashrate? In a very small scale that would be unnoticeable and nearly impossible to find/track. I just started mining and I found it sad it is SO centralized. I tried p2pool but unfortunately most hardware dont work very well there, my s5 included.
Unfortunately I will have to stay with eligius (and ghash as backup) for now. Just hope they don't get hashrate or do anything bad, but "having to trust" is really fucking bad!
371  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: June 17, 2015, 12:01:22 AM
I am sorry but I am finding myself repeating these details over and over, here...
I have nearly no problems on any other pool. These problems only happen on p2pool, whether my own node or not. It's winter in southern hemisphere + my s5 is new + new model with heat sink + air conditioned room.
One board stops hashing, then returns after a few minutes, once every 2-3 days for a few minutes on other pools. This happens ~every 2 hours on p2pool. Not only that, but hashrate is slightly lower, even with igor white's firmware or kano's fix. Without them it is much lower.

And yes, I run 425mhz on other pools just fine. 0.044% hw. It was 0.02% a few weeks ago though  Undecided
I did a lot of testing and found 425mhz to be the best spot for me. It varies from person to person, miner to miner.

I will be keeping an eye on p2pool and this thread and eventually will be testing out stuff. For now, I will have to go to eligius and trust/hope they will not do anything wrong.
372  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [10000Th] Eligius: 0% Fee BTC, 105% PPS NMC, No registration, CPPSRB on: June 16, 2015, 08:15:19 PM
Eligius is a great pool, and I believe the only zero fee pool still.  I have no plans to shutdown the pool while there are still miners mining and making use of the service.  Even with just a small portion of the network hash rate Eligius is a very viable pool choice.
It sure is. Thank you!
373  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: June 16, 2015, 07:48:40 PM
I am not lazy or dumb, and I doubt people who tried to mine on p2pool and failed mostly are. Dogie is bitmain's shill and variance isn't to blame. My s5 isn't perfect and already fails sometimes on eligius (and ghash as secondary), but fails much more often on p2pool and I also get a lower hashrate, despite trying igor-white's firmware and kano's fix. That happens on my node or anyone else's!

Here, gave it another try just now: http://prntscr.com/7hqw1c s5 425mhz
All in all I am lucky if I get 1300gh/s long run hashrate on p2pool while I get no less than 1360gh/s on others. I find it sad mining is so centralized but I have no other option, at least I am not going for these big pools such as antpool, discus etc...
374  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: June 16, 2015, 04:24:58 PM
Don't know about others but I run into same problems running my own node or mining on other people's p2p nodes.
375  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [CLOSING JUNE 30] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+NMC, Stratum, VarDiff, Private Servers on: June 16, 2015, 05:14:07 AM
Another victory for centralized mining.
Finally, I have been growing concerned for some time now about attempts to defraud pools. The pool's luck has been on a decline for over a year. The luck on a few other pools has also shown a negative trend. While it is not impossible that it's a coincidence, this is something I have been constantly made aware of and am helpless against. There is no way to know whether it's just bad luck, a small bug in older miners (BTC Guild probably has the highest percentage of first/second generation ASICs) resulting in a few % of block-solving shares to disappear, or a large pool trying to hurt the competition (many of the largest pools have large private mining operations now). It would only take a fraction (1 PH/s or less could do it) to cause significant harm to a competing pool, and that activity could be masked by proxies and multiple accounts to be impossible to catch.
What do you mean with this?

I mean the pool's luck for the last 3 months has been 88~89% of expected block solves.  Eligius' 3 month luck is almost identical to that last I checked in their thread.  Slush doesn't give a 3 month luck but his 1-month luck is pretty close to that.  I do not know if that is statistically bad enough (Guild + Eligius pools in aggregate) to point towards something other than variance.  Both pools combined are only about 5% of the network, so 12% under expectation over 90 days might be something that could happen 1 in a hundred samples.  I'm sending organofcorti a message about it since that's his area of expertise.
I understand that and am aware about (now) minor pools' bad luck. To tell you the truth I was under the suspicious they could be using our hashrate to rarely mine on other addresses, thus lowering luck. But that's just me and you get a very suspicious character after being scammed and robbed so many times by other people. I wanted to know what you meant with them being possibly attacked, and how?
I never used btc guild and although I mine on eligius due to the no fee (and will leave them the second they add any fee at all) I would suggest you to raise the fee instead of closing the pool. People who disagree would leave but I doubt a currently 12ph/s pool would go below 1ph/s, except if the fee goes up a lot.

Not sure to understand. You try to mine on p2pool ?? What didnt work ? I mean it should be easy connect to a node and mine?

Trust me, other people and I who faced issues tried that. I get slightly lower hashrate on p2pool and also one hashing board stops once in awhile, decreasing further hashrate. Have a look at my previous posts.
378  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: June 16, 2015, 02:38:47 AM
Still dont understand why do people refuse to mine on p2pool?

Any good explanation for that ?

Bitcoin is suppoce to be decentralised and p2pool is right ?
I tried. Hard. Couldn't afford investing more time into it and am being forced into mining on centralized pool, disrupting bitcoin's decentralization purpose and probably having my hashrate stolen once in awhile or used for other purposes I didn't agree.
379  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: June 12, 2015, 07:42:55 PM
Forrest, perhaps you as a main developer could help with the problems I recently described on s5
I need to run a ssh command everytime after i reboot + hashrate from time to time drops to 650gh/s (only one board works)  it then restarts working after some time (seconds or many minutes sometimes) but my overall longterm hashrate goes from 1380 to 1345.
This doesnt happen on any other pool
This happens on any p2pool, my node or others

Thanks

Hi everyone, I am really sorry for taking so long to reply. I wanted to deal with everyone who approached me however I was scammed in a big deal and cannot deal with someone else since I don't have more money - in fact I have no idea how I am going to pay rent this month, and I became a father days ago.
I would still buy machines from people who posted, and the many more who pm'd but my american lawyer associated told me it would take a few months before I see any progress on the lawsuit, by then the s3 would be useless.

I didn't post until now because I was awaiting on how things would pan out. Once again, sorry everyone.
Consider this thread closed. Thank you very much for the offers!
