261  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How many time until get back my investment? on: October 11, 2015, 08:35:44 AM
You can easily buy 200gh/s for 20$ for an antminer S1 and just run it in the winter using it as a heater and you will do much better than a 3gh/s stick, but neither of these will make you much of anything.
Where can I find an ANtminer S1 for this price?
Check the marketplace on this forum and make a [WTB] Post, these have been sold a lot so you might have to wait a minute to get one.

You should look for a lot. I got a lot of 7 for 100$... few months back? I have pen volt modded mine and today i put a completely silent miner in one and put it next to my bed, since its starting to get a tiny bit cold.

http://imgur.com/Ys7XHsq The fan is 20dB~ Consumption is 155watts atm.

You'll have problem finding someone actively selling them in the marketplace but you might be able to have someone get S1 out of storage for you if you manage a buying thread.

How many satoshis are you getting each day?
I already told you everything you need to know. This isn't the right approach to you either. You live in a very warm country and you don't need heater. The s1 will run at a very high loss due to brazil's energy prices.

The PoS will be a mix of having a node running.. do not have to be mining but should take part in the network, a coinage on the account with a minimum of (no decided.. 72hours maybe) and a minimum amount that the account holds. The most important part is to actually have a node running that takes part in the p2p network. As you hear.. it is similar to other pos systems, but the payout to nodes is not centralized. There  will also be mining involved.. so it is a hybrid.
Looks very interesting! I am looking forward to stake my coins while solo mining.
Congratulations on all development so far and I hope Shift will have a bright future.

Speaking of solo mining, does anyone know which graphic card is best to mine shift?
264  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: October 09, 2015, 12:50:58 PM
So I bought 4x PSU's from Bitmain at 155 USD each, = 620$.
The price declaration on the note from UPS said 680$. So I paid 25% on 680$, instead of 620$.

Is this normal? I'm worried what the declaration of the S7's will be..
Yes they always do that. I believe they get some sort of tax exception for declaring bigger invoice and always refuse to lower invoice.
They will request you to lower invoice if you need to send them items back, but will increase your invoice when sending
265  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How many time until get back my investment? on: October 07, 2015, 10:09:08 AM
0.00002977 BTC per day.
0.01086605 BTC per year, so long as difficulty remains static, which will surely not happen. Far from it. That's $2.65 in an entire year. Not even enough to purchase a mcdonalds sandwich since you live in Brazil and they are heavily taxed, as everything else is.

It would take over 10 years to recoup what you've spent, not counting in electricity, taxes and shipping.
Which means you will not only never recover your investment, but also lose a lot of cash.

As if this isn't enough, you were born in the most tyrannical and enslaved place in the western world, and you will pay nearly 100% on import tax. People don't like to send items to Brazil because it often gets stolen by the brazilian state mail company. Shipping will be expensive. Electricity is one of the highest priced in the western world at >$0.18/wh, because of taxes and government limiting competition.

Your best bet would be generating energy out of generators (or find someone else who has some unused energy from them like I did) - or steal energy. But even after doing so you'd still need one of the newest machines such as the antminer s7. Once you have achieved both, you will need to find a way to import things without being stolen by the government mafia. You will have to figure the first two by yourself as nobody can help you. I'd help you with the latter but I'm also stuck at it (let me know if you can solve it, by importing without taxes or nearly none).
266  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Avalon 6 Vs Antminer S7, which one you will choose? on: October 04, 2015, 09:43:56 PM
Really hope this and more company can free us from bitmain's monopoly.
267  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: tax customs in different countries on: October 04, 2015, 06:33:13 AM
ITT: Americans, who don't have money stolen by the state via import "tax" "laugh" at people who are robbed and "like the way things are "correctly" made"

24% in Romania!

Does no one complain to the Romanian government?  I might be spoiled in us but people would be complaining to most levels of government if there was a 1/4 the price vat.

Honestly even if you like hardware it would be hard to justify buying a miner at 24 percent vat.   Pretty much your only option is if you find hosting somewhere with much less vat to pay to host your machine.

Out of curiosity what is your electricity price in Romania?
Then it won't be so funny. It's cool as long as it's only happening to other people. Besides, I doubt many people would speak out. Your government just stole $2t of your money to kill people in a needless war and I don't hear anything but support.
But yeah, I'd "laugh at people who think that is wrong" and "like the way the US government does things correctly"
All heil governments worldwide!
268  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: tax customs in different countries on: October 03, 2015, 07:14:17 AM
I'll just leave this here to make everyone else happy about themselves: Brazil ~80% import tax

Bitmain will not send lower invoice, I already tried everything. Don't waste your time, it's a monopoly and they will not care.
269  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: 1 Ths -- looking for the best performing Pool in BTC on: October 01, 2015, 05:33:42 AM
I've got 1 Ths, and I'm looking for the "best" pool regarding BTC-payout.

At this very moment I'm using Eligius, since it has 0% fee and carry out the transactions fees to the miners. But it just mines NMC too.

I'm looking for a pool, that has also 0% fee, carries out also the transaction fees, but does mine beside NMC other Cryptocoins, I don't care what, as long as it can be changed into Bitcoins ;-)

No one gives a crap about your 1 Ths. Grow the f#@K up and get 1Phs then  Maybe you will be taken seriously.  You need to join a kiddie pool and hopefully you will drown.

Good luck and STFU.

Have you taken your medicine today? It's easy to be tough on the internet.

You can run your own p2pool node and merge mine a ton of other coins if you want.  NMC, DVC, IXC, HUC, WLC, etc.  You can check out the p2pool merge-mining thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=651819.0

Thank you very much!

Exactly THAT is, what I'm doing now ;-)

It is difficult and not for everyone, but I have free power and 100Mbit free Internet, for sure p2pool is the way to go for everyone, since this is the ONLY pool that is mining decentral as in mind of bitcoin.
I mine on ghash. Dislike fees and the other fee'less pool is eligius. I don't like their "pps"
I'd love to be able to mine on p2pool, but unfortunately my s5 doesn't work too well over there. It's a great pool. If you really like decentralization and want the best out of it, you may want to try to run a node and solo mine (actual solo mine, not p2pool). Chances are great however you will never find a block.
270  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN launches 4th generation Bitcoin mining ASIC: BM1385 on: October 01, 2015, 03:06:39 AM
With free electricity, no difficulty increase, the ROI time is next year in March. Not particularly "in no time" for me. With 0.08 Electricity and 2% increment, you will never break even. Your only strategy for ROI would be to mine it for a bit and then sell it before it devalues.

DEPENDS ON THE VALUE OF BTC!
Wouldn't it be much better if you just purchase btc and save yourself of the risk of not breaking even + noise  + psu + wire + heat?

Things like this are only gonna keep happening and get worse since this is what happens in a monopoly market.
275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin XT - Officially #REKT (also goes for BIP101 fraud) on: September 29, 2015, 07:11:57 PM
So when threads are created to make fun of xt, bad mouth it and such things it's ok to be placed in the bitcoin section. Anything else then xt is considered "altcoin".  Roll Eyes

I'm contacting all Ryan Gatchalian's friends and people who may work with him to show what their friend/acquaintance etc is capable of doing.
He disappeared again with my money. He opened two "sale" threads before disappearing, thinking I was gone. I'm glad I got to save people from being scammed by him.

Bump in order to prevent more people be robbed.
Notice how he disappeared again.

Offline since the 4th.

Pretty nice house - obviously not his if he has to steal - probably still lives with his parents.

Have you tried giving them a call and letting them know their son is using their computer and internet account to commit fraud?
He only returned because he thought I was gone and he was going to attempt to scam more people.
Didn't think of that because he's rich and already in 30's. I will do this today. Thanks.

If we stop mining at 2m the premine is too big. If we keep on mining it's too inflationary (as of now we have a 4.4599% daily inflation).
What do you guys think of forking the reward to 1 shift forever and making it pos/pow in a few months?
280  Local / Economia & Mercado / Re: LK BIT LTDA on: September 12, 2015, 03:37:46 PM
