To notify everyone, this thread was made to gather info for new gpu miners. It is true that one miner hardly helps other. But as we are new, we need to learn from everything. So keep sharing your ideas, new coin info, newest coin launch time etc.
I am mining Eth with a single gpu and getting 0.01 btc per day. It is not bad for a small gpu miner like me.

All the used 7950/7970 were sold already last month.
Its very hard to find them right now at good prices, just buy new retail while they are still in stock.
they are even more costly than newer R9 380 and 390 cards. I think for future mining R9 380 390 will be better option than 7970/7950 , am i wrong ? No 380 is slower than 7950. 390 is very expensive. If you want to mine ETH you can always buy the 2GB R7 370, you will get 17MH/s and its the cheapest. i am getting 19 mhashes from my 7950 |

I do not understand 1 thing. If any coin looses its price floor everybody start dumping and price goes down again. Panic sell is cancer.
You can thank past scams for that and the volatility crypto carries. People are always scared of losing most of their investment. There is only 1440 KR coins mined per day, compared to other Ether coins this is very minor and will not cause major dumping. We are not on any major exchanges yet, so it's too early to judge which way it will go. Krypton does not have Devs with millions of coins set aside for future dumping, there is no developer fund, no early investor percent (AKA angel investors), no coins held in a DAO etc..etc.., and when you see the final CFC sheet today you will also know beyond any doubt there is no fake BTC buys. but why we only can mine tiny amount of coin per day ? Due to low net hash rate ? |

BTC mining is still profitable. I have a few asics running, they're profitable, just not as much as gpu mining is at this moment.
Do you have free electricity? Otherwise then no they probably aren't. Even 10 cents profit is profit, thus profitable.  nothing is free. Yes even 10 cents profit is a profit. may be not that much profit, but it is also a profit |

The cards which consume less electricity are usually very expensive.
That PSU should work since it has 6 PCIe connectors, each of your 7950 use like 150watts or so.
so do you suggest to buy old AMD ? Will they be good for future mining? i prefer 7950/7970 cards for mining in future |
