47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Cryptonode - cryptocoin node hosting on: September 04, 2015, 02:27:36 AM

RECENT CHANGES:
  • All nodes get both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses
  • You can now add a custom configuration file
  • All nodes run txindex by default but can be turned off by simply removing the line from the configuration file during setup.

ABOUT
Recently When I was browsing /r/bitcoin I found a thread for a service that offered Bitcoin XT hosting and was intrigued I liked how simple it was to use but was disappointed with the lack of control at the very least I felt that RPC control of the node should be granted. So I went ahead and decided to write my own node deployment service.  The code is completely automated you simply have to fill out a form, make a payment, and wait a few minutes for the node to be setup.

THE DIFFERENCE
One of the first things I wanted to establish to differentiate myself from other similar services was to give the customer more choices to running the node, Currently you can pick your node location and set your RPC settings if desired. You can also make a payment in a variety of currencies

Reasons to run a node
  • Use an SPV wallet? use your own node for transaction verification
  • Coding - Designing a faucet or some sort of shopping cart plugin? Use a node with RPC access to play around without having to keep everything on
  • Increase the network, add a node to the network
  • Boast to your friends how you have a node army at your disposal

Who has access to the vps and should I store coins on the node
The nodes are created automatically and assigned a random password although I do not have any reason to login to the vps nodes its possible. I personally would not recommend storing large quantities of coins on the nodes as I offer no warranty for the security and stability of the service. If you are planning on storing large quantities of coins on a node I recommend setting one up yourself that you can be in complete control of.

50  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: cryptotipz scammed on Just-Dice on: July 12, 2015, 10:57:06 PM
Personally I would give a chunk to v1 and psy and tip the rest as the winnings don't technically belong to him. You could argue that it should go back into the bankroll except he was gambling on two sites it would be hard to defend who gets what.

It would be fun to give the left over coins to a bot to gamble with until they were gone. But they're not mine to do that with.

I've given v1 his 800 back, since KingDice said he would be OK with it even if I gave him 1000. So there's 827.68994335 left.

If I don't find evidence of any other scamming by KingDice I figure I give those back to him.

I hesitate to ask if anyone else was scammed by KingDice, because I worry it will bring forth a horde of people trying it on. But - well, were you?

I think the splitting part between me and V1 would be the right one, then we can tip the one we want to give some extra clams.

I can see how that would work for you, but would it really be right? I don't see it.

You can claim that you only gambled because he took your coins, but that doesn't make it right to take back your losses from him.
but can you really say they are his? I see what you are saying about returning the others but the fact is if he did not steal those coins he would not have them. You could argue that he came clean and deserves to keep the winnings but I don't believe a thief gets to keep the things he has stolen even if he has plead guilty. My opinion however is hes getting off very easy hes not being prosecuted, but if you let him walk away with almost 2k usd earned from stolen money it would numb the sting of his actions surely.

52  Economy / Services / Re: Buy from China - Direct RMB services - Taobao purchasing on: June 29, 2015, 10:07:48 AM
I can definitely use this service.  I buy from Aliexpress and TaoBao many times...if you can find the items i'm looking for, and I go to your directly...maybe I can save a little more $$$ ??

Is that the goal?
I have no problem hunting down products and attempt to finding them at a lower cost. However the main goal of the service is to provide a cheaper way of sending money to suppliers you already have established.

I would use your service if you would accept any trusted escrow on this forum.
How much is shipping for approx. 1kg to central Europe?

If you are talking about purchasing from taobao or 1688, it really depends what you are buying and how you want it shipped, Airmail? by Boat? Does the product contain a battery, does the product contain a brand (real or Fake) do you want it send in 1 parcel or multiple parcels, DHL,China Post, FedEx. All of these things need to be taken into consideration. From previous experience sending 1kg of electronics airmail with brand and battery via EMS cost about 80 rmb (~$13 usd), but if it didn't have the battery and brand it would of been cheaper so those things do factor in on orders. If you can give me a better idea of what you are looking to have shipped I can give you a more accurate response. We used EMS when shipping phones because its faster than China Post, However if you can stand extended delivery times you can probably get 1kg shipped for as little as $6 by China Post.

You provide a brilliant service! But the issue is that you are newbie here and hasn't any good trading record  here! So no one will be comfortable to be dealing with you! So you'd better escrow the fund for your customers! I am from China as well! Probably I can help you here, act as escrow or anything else! I have been this forum here for almost two yeas, and know how the trades are carrying on here! If you are interested, please let me know!

Hi I appreciate your comments, and escrow services, but generally people know the risks when sending western union or money gram to china because their is very little recourse, I also am offering little recourse just a different method of transferring the funds. However it would not be in my interest to steal a payment and risk my credability. (although not as active on these boards I am around the crypto scene) when I can make 1% just by simply moving funds around.
56  Economy / Services / Buy from China - Direct RMB services - Taobao purchasing on: June 26, 2015, 07:53:11 AM
Cryptospout's Chinese purchasing services

About Me:
I have been living in china for a few years now, Currently I live in ChongQing but have been around to various cities. I frequent Shenzhen often and also go to Shanghai multiple times of the year. My current position gives me a lot of free time and I’ve been looking for ways to expand my usage of bitcoin while here. Previously I have worked in the trade business here in china selling Mobile phones on Ebay,Amazon,Aliexpress, and DHgate.

RMB Transfer Service
I am offering the service of providing direct RMB payments to your suppliers. Generally when ordering products from direct trade companies here in china you have 3 options, Pay via wire transfer, Pay via Western Union, or Pay via MoneyGram. Sometimes they will offer paypal at a higher fee due to the fact that withdrawing money from paypal to a bank requires a minimum $50 usd fee. All of these options have one very large thing in common THE HIGH FEE’S.  I am offering direct RMB payments to your suppliers.

My Fee: 1% rmb total

Example: if your order is 1200 rmb (about $190 usd) I would require 1212 RMB worth of bitcoin (going by BTER current exchange rates at the time of the order).

The Process:
1) you will negotiate with your supplier that you want to pay directly in rmb for the order (generally you can negotiate a discount because you are saving the supplier time and work)
2) you can contact me here or directly at admin@cryptospout.com about the order and who I need to contact to get payment information (you can also get the bank details directly yourself if you do not wish me to know your suppliers company)
3) I will ask the supplier for the payment details if it has not been provided
4) You will send the bitcoins to a bitcoin address I provide
5) Once the transaction is confirmed I will make the payment and send a screenshot to both parties

Conditions:
I am only holding responsibility for making the payment, what your supplier does with the order and the negotiations you have with each other are completely up to you. I do not claim any responsibility for order progress, Shipping,Quality of product, or anything related to the order other than making the RMB payment

Reverse back to BTC?
Sure I can do this, if you need your supplier to refund funds or if you want to cancel the order before I send the RMB I can send back the BTC.

Why use me instead of trying to get your supplier to accept the bitcoins directly?
Bitcoin is a strange subject here in china, Everyone has heard about but only a small percentage actually use it chances are your supplier is currently not using it and might not be willing to learn at this time. If your supplier is using bitcoin they will probably quote you a higher rate than 1%

Benefits:
  • Direct RMB payments to suppliers generally allow you to have more room for negotiating prices
  • Direct RMB payments faster to process and confirm allowing your order to be processed faster
  • Lower fee's saves you money

Risks
When buying direct from china you almost always take a risk unless you come here to purchase directly because 99.99% companies will not send you something before a payment, like western union, money gram, and Wire Transfers Bitcoin does not have any real recourse if something goes foul and a supplier takes your money or if your products get stuck in customs. It's a risk of the trade so if you are new to purchasing from china please be aware that things can go wrong and weight those risks in when deciding to make a purchase.

Taobao.com - 1688.com purchasing service
I am also offering the ability for you to purchase products from taobao, or 1688.com for the same 1% fee but please note it becomes a little more complicated because I will have to calculate shipping costs and packaging materials into the order.  If you are interested in this service you can feel free to contact me.
