1  Economy / Services / [HIRING] UI/UX desktop software graphic designer on: November 07, 2023, 09:39:19 AM
We are building a project to help traders of all kinds to improve their work flow and efficiency.

We are currently looking for a graphic designer who will turn our "almost-design-less" GUI we have now into a beautiful user interface.

All our project communication happens on Telegram. If you are interested to offer your service, please write to this thread or write PM and I will provide you with a link to a Telegram group that we will create for you.

The software we are working on is not trivial, but not enormous in terms of the number of different screens it offers. So this is a medium sized job that can take many months, but not years. The tasks include designing almost every bit of the interface including all pictures and icons and visual controls and their visual effects (such as hover state, pressed state, disabled state, etc). The goal is to create a beautiful UX friendly interface that is at the same time very compact and allows for all the interesting information to be available to the user without hassle.

All our payments are strictly in BTC with no-address-reuse policy (i.e. you have to provide fresh address every time you get paid). BTC amounts will be calculated on the payment date from USD price point.

Every candidate is expected to perform a test design work of a small component in our software, the result of which we will only use if we hire you for the job. Based on the results of this test work we will decide whose design we like the most and who we want to work with. If you are not willing to do the unpaid test work, please do not reply.

Do send relevant parts of your portfolio for our review as well as your per hour rates (in USD).

5  Economy / Services / [HIRING] .NET C# junior backend developer for trading software, paid in BTC on: December 22, 2021, 04:08:35 PM
We are building a project to help traders of all kinds to improve their work flow and efficiency. This project currently has 2 developers who have been working on it for more than a year now. We use .NET 6, MSVS, GitHub, and Telegram.

We are looking for a junior C# backend developer to help us build this software as well as other related programs that we need to build an infrastructure that will allow us to introduce this project to the market. The target platforms are mainly Windows and macOS desktops for the user client and Windows and Linux servers for the infrastructure.

We are looking for someone who wants to learn how to contribute to a larger project with peer reviews, improve their knowledge of C# and programming, learn many interesting technologies related to development of trading software. We require good communication skills, at least basic understanding of git and C#, and ability to communicate over Telegram. We have strict code style policies and defensive approach to programming that must be followed.

If you are interested to join our project, please make an offer in this thread or in PM. Do send us your weekly availability in hours for this project and the expected reward for such commitment (in USD, but paid in BTC). We expect a long term (or at least mid term) relationship.

Feel free to ask any relevant questions.

Edit: The position is now taken.

We have some initial works on the new GUI in MAUI, so I've updated the original message as we no longer need to decide on the technology to be used, we selected MAUI.

We have hired a graphic designer who is taking care of the looks, so the developer we are looking for is only needed to implement the GUI using the given graphic design.

if we're talking about android and linux may be c++ will be better? i can write it

Linux is the least important for us. Windows and macOS desktops are primary platforms for us followed by iOS and Android. But we would like to keep everything strictly in C#.

We are building a project to help traders of all kinds to improve their work flow and efficiency. This project currently has 2 developers who have been working on it for more than a year now. We use .NET 6 in this project with MAUI. We use GitHub for our repository and we use MSVS for development.

We are looking for a GUI developer to build a client application to be run on Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and likely also on some distributions of Linux, such as Ubuntu.

We already have a very basic version of an experimental GUI written in Avalonia, which needs to be replaced with the newly developed GUI in MAUI. The first task for the new developer would be to achieve feature parity in MAUI with our experimental GUI in Avalonia. The GUI part is separated from the rest of the platform, there is an API that the GUI uses to communicate with the main application.

We now have a graphic designer who takes care of the design part, so the developer only needs to implement it.

We have strict code style policies and defensive approach to programming that must be followed.

If you are interested to join our project, please make an offer in this thread or in PM. We expect you to present your past work to us (it should be a GUI or at least a design of a GUI), the description of your commitment (we dot not necessarily require full time commitment), the expected reward for such commitment (in USD, but paid in BTC). We expect a long term (or at least mid term) relationship that may go beyond the task of GUI development in the future.

Feel free to ask any relevant questions.

Edits: Updated to current status.

Your idea is very much degraded by the false urgency you present it with. Almost no one will seriously talk with you if you keep that attitude. Also your poll does not provide all options, so you are pushing the voter into one of your predefined scenarios.

As for the idea - it is interesting idea ... for an altcoin. For Bitcoin, it is no go for many reasons.

The primary problem I can see is with that it seems that you do not actually propose (or did I just miss it?) a way to verify that the presented block after pruning is the one that counts. What makes it impossible for someone to come with their own version of compacted state and claim that that is the right state?

I'm selling source C# code for proof of concept btc-e.com betting bot (see https://btc-e.com/bets).

The bot is able to:
  • Log in under your email/password to btc-e.com.
  • Load betting page and wait for next betting period to start.
  • During the active period, collect data about the betting period (bets count, amounts).
  • Wait until the very last second of the betting period and then make a decision whether or not to take a bet.
  • When the betting period ends, it is able to place orders using API (you need API key) in the very last second.
  • And meanwhile process next active betting periods.

What is included:
  • Proof of concept quality commented source code in C# for .NET Core.
  • I will instruct you on how to run the bot for the first time, so it makes a bet with your account.
  • Exclusivity - no more than 3 copies of this bot will be sold to other people by me.

What is NOT included:
  • Profitable strategy (I tried some based on bets counts and amounts, but failed to find a profitable one, I have not tried any strategy considering the orderbook or other indicators (so these are not included)).
  • Full btc-e.com API wrapper. I just implemented the part I needed for what it does.
  • Any modifications of the source code to your strategy. You are expected to know C# and make your own modification!!! We can, however, arrange extra deal if it is interesting for both parties.
