2  Other / Meta / Re: Can we get activity points on posting in the Off-Topic Thread? on: July 29, 2017, 12:06:50 AM
I don't see a point why you wont get activity points by posting on off topic since it was created. you still get activity points but make sure your message wont spam the forum.

5  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: February 17, 2017, 12:06:29 PM
i believe the first thing that comes into mind of someone is because bitcoin has a value and can be used to pay things. the second is that it is more convenient than going out with cash.
6  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many times have you've been scammed? on: February 03, 2017, 08:30:54 AM

7  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.05 BTC, bct account as collateral on: December 16, 2016, 10:29:01 PM
your account doesnt worth it you may either use another collateral or ask for much less loan amount that is not much higher than your account value. it ssems that your account has a potential activity ive tried to find it but the sites that i uses before none is working now. hopefully someone can do it. goodluck
8  Economy / Gambling / Re: ODD or EVEN win 185% | Provably on: December 15, 2016, 05:30:52 PM
thanks for giving insight NLNico. provably fair is important because this determines the winner and if in the case the owner can manipulate the transaction by just a millisecond this is a failure. im not saying the site owner is doing this but we can say 1 out of 10 is the site owner. you can see the effect.

im not accusing anybody, peace.
9  Other / Meta / Re: what is post quality should be? on: December 03, 2016, 12:48:14 AM
I have to agree with op's concern as they echo mine also.English is not my first language and as such I always have problem expressing my true thoughts in it.
I do have a lots of time something useful to add to topic of thread or ask an important question but due to my bad English, I ended up making what mosts think an unconstructive post Sad
I know there are local forums but first they are not much active and second more interesting and informative threads are created in English forum

Exactly what i wanted to say you got me very nice, its not all about the 75 characters where most ofthereplies were about. I know what constructive is and to answer wrong to an obvious question is not spamming rather than stupidity, and im not stupid i respect every people i met.

We are different people we have different cultures lets exercise ourselves to understand this environment, their opininios and concerns are not to worsen you but to help to build a new you. The replies enlightened me and reminds me that this is not an ordinary forum i met every single day in my local forum. Im sure the same as you do. Every people have different way of understanding.

And if you think someone is threatening your bad english and shows your past, prove that the past and present you are not the same. The same person but not the same in terms of knowledge. I came here with nothing as i stated, respect their opinions it will help you out.

Peace mate.
10  Other / Meta / Re: what is post quality should be? on: December 02, 2016, 05:20:31 PM
post quality should be something of clear understanding, depends on the angle with which you view it from.

That is what i was trying to do, its just 'we' have different way of understanding. My form of speaking is different to anybody and the same to everyone elses.

I dont have the knowledge they might be looking of.

Alright since you want to improve and recently said I would write my opinion on a few of those here it comes. Take it or leave it.

Disclaimer:[1] Im not staff, not related and even though im part of the default trust network I will not leave negative rating on spammer (or not) accounts nor will I leave counter ratings. I dont think trust ratings are appropriate here. Those that will try to discuss this here will be ignored. Write your opinion/arguments about these topic in the existing topics.

I was reading your last 250 posts starting from here[2]. I wrote this while reading so bear with me when you think but it was different later. Your first few posts have large breaks between them and you mainly try to join a campaign. Two month and you did 9 posts.

There is a single post where you engage half heartedly in a discussion in offtopic[3]. Its about blogging from a phone, the OP has 3 questions you reply to one of them. Your answer is very generic in terms of "phones are limited vs. computers". If you have experience in the area I think you could have posted more esp. in regards to the other questions. The timing of your post before and after make it look like a post just to collect the activity points for the period (21.06.2016 14:40:00). Your next post is just after the next period started, by only a few hours. The question that comes to mind is: Is this your only account?

Here[4] you write that the thread should not have been bumped by the person you quote. Write a report instead, bumping old threads without bringing something new to it is against the rules ("necro posting"). Id say its borderline necro posting.

Here[5] you ask in a sales thread whether or not neteller can be reversed the same as paypal payments. This is offtopic to the thread. Either search for an existing answer or ask it in the proper section (trading discusison IMHO). It also spawns a small discussion about the topic which usually is a good thing, but here it just helps the OP of the thread to bump it 3 times within 30 minutes. On of them is OP asking you to remove your post.

More posts asking questions in a sales thread that have little purpose. You participate in the post your X threads in offtopic[6]. If you want to improve, avoid these kind of threads in any section. You can spot them by the countless replies without any discussion or back and forth between people. They have next to no substance to them and are more like a survey than a discussion thread.

Lets skip the used panty thread and get to another topic, like this[7]. Someone was asking for help with their web wallet, its not actually changed to spam, but lets ignore that here. They have some wallet words and ask whether they can restore them on a different web wallet. You reply that you dont know, but you dont think its possible. You are the first person to actually reply. This would have been a great opportunity for you to help someone. Do quick research and write a better answer. Maybe find out which format these other web wallets use and link to sources. Not only will you learn something, but also potentially someone else.

Would you want "Im not sure, maybe X" or "Yes/No, because <reason> as you can confirm yourself here <link to source>." when you have a question about your coins?

Next general thing, mega threads. Very long threads with lots of replies.

This is your reply with the quote post you reply to

For a steady income perhaps the best way is to open your own business. Depending on your skills, it may bring you good results.

This is better and this is also what i wanted too. I have an idea of what business i should open but the fund is the only problem im currently dealing with since im just recently started of having it and this way how im using bitcoin to add some funds to my planned business. Business is not only good for me if succeed but also good for my country and the community i belong.

This is another one 10+ pages earlier

If you are looking for a steady income better to look for a business you start and plan your earnings to invest to your own business for the first time you will lose but dont worry if you success promoting your site you will have a possive income.. daily or weekly..

The topic has already been discussed. You also state that you have your own business, yet in an earlier post you said you would quit your job if you could earn money with <forgot, not important>. Also, as mentioned above. If you have a business Im sure you can provide some insights.

In general try to stay away from these very long topics unless you actually read it entirely. If you do you are less likely to engage in a discussion that already took place in the same thread or you bring in points from the previous discussion to make this iteration of the topic more interesting.

Here[8] is an example for what Hilarious describes above. Lots of words for "I bought a guitar because I want to make videos on youtube with it". The rest is flavortext. You get a reply though, perfect moment to advertise your channel with a link to one of your videos playing said guitar.[9]

I wanted to thank you guys even though you fucked me over by freezing TPG coin but ever since I'm earning $20 daily from your dice even with it being rigged, so thanks a lot yobit love yall. Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss

Woah i never heard someone plays on yobit dice until now and had a win. I used to play there twice but i stopped not because i lose but the first thing is its not good to play on there due too many aspects.

Why not expand on these aspects?

Are you saying you cant move your coins on your xapo wallet to another wallet you have?

-snip-
When I try to send coins it says unable to send.
-snip-

Does the amount you were trying to move is big?

Why does it matter?

I just want to tell you bitcoin user should be anonymous and there is no need to give your identity just to be able to use a bitcoin service like xapo. Be very careful next time.

Bitcoin is not anonymous and xapo can and does request their wallet users to profit id information. Again, someone has problem with their coins, do you think you helped them? Would you appreciate a reply like yours if all yours coins were frozen with a service?

Another account with green light? Should not be sold i know its your right to do whatever you wanted to do, but if your account goes to a evil acting like human, something bad will happen.

If you think its evil, dont bump their 3 day old thread to the top.

When you actually care you someone make better posts.

-> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1606042.0

I ll stop now (post #121 from latest) I dont think there will be significant changes to your posting style or new points I want to tell you. It boils down to what hilarious already wrote, put some thought and time in it. Yes it can be difficult sometimes when others around you are posting low quality as well, but its worth it. Before you hit post ask yourself:

#1 do I really want to write this publicly?
#2 does it help anyone but myself if I do?
#3 does my post bring something new to the discussion/topic at hand?

If you answer all the questions with no, just move on without posting. Sometimes its enough to have written the post, it must not be published.

[1] Its a bit sad that I have to write something like this at all, isnt it?

Thanks for the lectures.

I read your post in full and honestly you wake me up and helped me to find out where i gone wrong.

About the business i did not explained it well im sorry if you thought i have one, ive said i have a business plan but i dont have yet the funds to build it.

About the guitar i did not mention the link because i want to be anonymous here, and im starting with the guitar i just bought 2 months ago if im not mistaken so im not really a great guitar player at this moment and by this i have a bit fear to upload guitar covers on my youtube channel until i play them well, its early morning here i will try to make a video of me playing the guitar i just bought later and please tell me if you think its ok to upload on youtube, if you dont mind.

About the other replies, some were short or uncomplete because of my poor brain, i cant tell everything words by words especially in english which is not my first languange.

Now there's a thought in my mind but i cant explain or i cant say. This happens everytime when i read i can understand but i dont know how to tell.

Peace

Read this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1684035.0

Just put some effort and thought into your posts like you did this one. Making sure a post is 75 characters long doesn't magically make a post constructive though. In fact, just trying to hit the 75 character count usually has the opposite effect because people tend to stretch out their answers unnecessarily. Also, when all of your posts are around 75+ characters or one or two lines it's very easy to spot a pattern. There's no good reason why any users posts should follow a pattern or all be one or two sentences but this seems to be a habbit of Sig spammers because they somehow seem to think that two sentences is the magic number that suddenly makes a post constructive or not spam which isn't the case.

Exactly but that is their requirement.
13  Other / Meta / what is post quality should be? on: December 01, 2016, 07:23:00 AM
Im wondering how to deliver a good quality post considering dt's standards. Im trying my best to the best of my abilitity to make quality post, first by making more than 75 characters in English and also as required by sig campaigns, second by trying to limit my weekly post so im not going to flood the forum with my posts so no one will get angry of me.

If there is something i did to make someone get offended i apologize on it, i dont mean anything and i respect every people here as most of the time im online im just reading then leaving without making any post, in this place i started to learn how to trade, how to invest with potential roi, im here to grow my knowledge and not to make income from sig campaigns although i joined some of them for excitement and to grow my coins too. But I have a real job its just the fact that i dont want to get negative trust which is i know is really not me, myself.
If i did not qualify the dt's standards of good quality poster im sorry to hear that.
I care about my acount.

I came here with nothing.
I dont have technical knowledge about anything.
English is not my first languange. If we speak in my own i can speak with you in somehow poetic and more informative.
Im just starting.

If to have those things up are the quality of good quality poster should be then that is a problem with me.

You are not somehow to beleive. If you have a project and you think it is good you advertise it and ask for partnerships and funds, lending by your own that huge amount is kinda fishy in my opinion.

Thanks,

And why has one other different adress in the same transaction and total input/ output 7.23 btc, when I payed just 0,039? What means this?

Thanks,

Inputs are not addresses but are utxos. A transaction spending those utxos will list them individually.

17  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Drug free in the Philippines on: November 24, 2016, 12:58:16 AM
Where is the Philippine government going to get money for free drugs? It is a lie with which they try to distract people from the lawlessness that is happening in the country.

That is not exactly what this thread is all about, op is somehow trying to explain it on a positive point of view. There are some comments came to argue about this aspect on the previous pages.
18  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: November 24, 2016, 12:45:55 AM
Dear Tulkas,

Everytime I make a withdrawal the system rightly says that I must hold back .0005 for the network fee. This is acceptable and understood from the terms of service. However, when the transfer is sent it deducts an additional .0005 from the desired transfer amount and then leaves the already allocated .0005 account balance hanging in the account.

When I wish to withdraw .01 from my account I wish to withdraw the full .01 from my account, not .0095 as occurs now.

Please fix this Problem. I am no longer an active user on Jam and wish to eventually close out my account once all of my Notes are sold. Leaving even a few Cents worth of Bitcoin in my account on your site just pisses me off in the end.

Please confirm when this problem has been fixed.

Widthrawal fee is 0.0005 of you want to widthraw 0.01 in full you have to add 0.0005 for the fee so it should be 0.0105 to avoid charging from your desired amount.

@Pro Gamers, not what I am saying here. I understand the basic math of allocating a network fee, what is happening here is as follows:

Let's say I have an account balance of .0110. I click the withdrawal button and the dialogue comes up with the information that of my .0110 account balance, .0105 is able to be withdrawn, the remaining .0005 is used to cover the network fee. The dialogue also explicitly says that BTCJam does not have a service fee for withdrawals, .0005 is only to cover the network fees. It does not allow me to enter .0110 and then make the deduction, it only allows me to enter the maximum allowable amount as displayed in the dialog box at .0105.

When I enter .0105 in the withdrawal screen and click send I discover that the .0005 is actually removed from the transfer amount, leaving the actual transfer amount of .01. 0005 remains in my account; this essentially means there is no practical way to transfer the full balance of the account as this .0005 is always retained by BTCJam.

Im sorry to hear that, it was never happened to me when i was using the service although im no longer using it after many complaints about scammers. That was the last time i used the widthraw and unlikely to what is happening to you i only got deducted 0.0005 for the fee. If its a new modus let us see.

20  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet.com - bitcoin sportsbook and casino | BEST NFL and EPL odds anywhere! on: November 22, 2016, 08:28:17 AM

There seems to be already a scam accusation on the forum here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1686721.0

Thing is that they do not qualify for being called scammers, until someone here hasn't been paid for more than 2-3 weeks. But it should be a clear sign to not continue playing there.

That is true there is no need to wait this site to scam before people thinks to avoid it there are many reputable betting sites out there to choose.
