Today Roma won the Torino Roma clash. First of all, I have to say that there were not many positions in the match. the two teams had only 2 shots in the whole match. Another disappointing game for chelsea yet again, Surely this is not the result everyone would have wanted, before the game Lampard showed positives and a good mood in training, I expected a win or draw today but it seemed Chelsea are bound for poor games this season even with the new caretaker manager, nothing has changed.
I don't think people will be surprised by the results, this season Chelsea is really down and it's hard to get back up even though Potter was sacked and replaced by Lampard while not bringing any changes, I think even for the UCL later it doesn't really seem to exist hope for Chelsea to qualify against madrid because seeing the defeat to wolves today, it seems that there has been no change in Chelsea. I am not surprise at this result because I know that Lampard will not be able to fix things in Chelsea with their present performance. This is a big blow on Lampard to loose his second match in the club after he took over from Potter. Lampard needs to work hard on the team and should be able to prove to the public that he can restructure the club for him to be given to proper attention Chelsea is 11th on the table leading Wolves with 8 points,who is 12th on the table. This is a big win for Wolves as they took advantage of Chelsea laxity on the game to score the only goal in the match on the 37th minutes. Will Lampard be able to prove that he can handle this club and put the team back to its feet or still have that low mentality that led to his previous sack. PSG are just doing their best to throw the Ligue 1 title but I really agree that there isn't any team that go head-to-head with them until the end of the season. Actually this is like a golden opportunity for some other team to try their luck with the league title. Marseille and Lens both deserve to go for this run taking their general peformances into account so far in my opinion.
Lens are a pretty surprising team of the season though. Most of us expected them to be out of any race after a point. But now they aren't only in a rivalry for the second position. They are 6 points away from the leader as well. There isn't much time left for the end of the season too so this effort really deserves to be appreciated a lot.
Lens has been in Ligue 1 since two seasons where they finished it in the seventh place and right now they are second and only six points behind PSG in the first place! Lens will face Strasbourg which are struggling to get out of the relegation zone. PSG mission will not be easy vs Nice. A possible three points gap scenario might take place tomorrow, unless PSG will wake up this time..
