82  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where would you invest $100? on: July 19, 2017, 09:31:29 PM
Hi.
I've got a hundred USD which I wanna invest in some altcoin. I know this amount is nothing, but since I'm a complete noob at cryptocurrensies, I decided to begin with the small amount. So, I want to try out how everything works, at the same time I want to keep my investment safe and sound. That's why  I'm looking for some underappreciated altcoin with the bright future which will graciously accept my modest investment and bring me it back with some profit Wink
Have you heard anything about this kind of coin?

If I had 100$ I would modestly invest it onto ethereum and I recommend you to buy it as well. I have personally made good profits by trading ethereum and I believe this all due to the ICO hype and developments taking place. I suggest you to buy it when the next dip is going to happen though.

Why ask others for a debit card when you can easily buy a working bitcoin debit card with no document verification from providers like xapo, bitpay, wirex etc ?
84  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Bitbike: People to People bike rental. Powered by cryptocurrency. on: July 19, 2017, 09:17:04 PM
Seems like a very innovative service but how do you plan on combating theft of the bikes ?
85  Economy / Digital goods / Re: My Amazon Balance for Bitcoins on: July 19, 2017, 08:43:45 PM
Here is my last option on what to do as I have exhausted every other option I have.
Almost a year back, I did a little job for someone online and I got paid with an amazon gift card worth 73euros.

Unfortunately for me, I loaded the gift card into my account and since I have never purchased anything directly from amazon before, I had no single idea they do not ship to my country. It pained me then though cause I could have used localbitcoins or paxful to exchange the gift card directly with Bitcoins.

I have tried to research online probably to see a way I can make use of this but to no avail. Worst of it all is that it was generated on http://amazon.fr which I found out I cannot use in other popular country domain as .US and .UK.

I have been on bitcointalk for a while now but it never occurred to me that I may get an answer here or a service that can assist me in getting Bitcoins in exchange for the balance. Really hoping to get some answers or solutions. Thanks.

You can use purse.io to sell your amazon gift card balance for bitcoin. The way how its works is, you buy a product a customer by paying for their amazon wishlist and you get money in bitcoin. Though, keep in mind that you will lose some money through this service because the main aim of this service is to provide a nice discount to the customer.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what's the future of ETC? on: July 19, 2017, 08:32:00 PM
Ethereum classic maybe left in the dark for the time being as eth is the primary coin powering the blockchain applications at the moment. It looks like etc has a lack of development and support and a lot of people are against it due to the censorship. One can only dream about etc being huge in the future for now.
87  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tor wallet SCAM !!! on: July 19, 2017, 05:29:43 AM
Tor wallet was in the hidden internet where the majority of all things there are scam or illegal. Why you got there in the first place ? Maybe you thought to hide or to be safe from any third party tracking you ? There are desktop wallets like Electrum which you can manage directly from your OS and not be prone to scams like Tor wallet.

I second this. I bet they were marketing their scam service with the name of tor for total anonymity. The sad thing is that, why on earth would anyone go to some shady website such torwallet when there are many well reputed wallets around which are available offline and online. Sigh. Seems like they scammed a hefty number of people already.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how many coins do you have in your portfolio ? on: July 19, 2017, 03:12:50 AM
Hello,

i am new in the atcoin world. I am buying some altcoins to start my portfolio.

I have understood that i have to diversify. But how many coins do i need ? Currently i own 5 differents altcoins (ANS, STRAT, XVG, XRP, ARK)
Do you think it's enough ? Now, do you think it's better for me to buy some more of the coin i already own or to buy new coins ? I am thinking of maid, gamecredits, sia...

How many coins do you have in your portfolio ?

Thank you for your help !

I own ethereum, Monero, Dash and Stratis at the moment but only in small amounts. I plan on buying other altcoins after properly analyzing the technical aspects of the coin and the shift in the price levels. I suggest you to do the same.
89  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: July 19, 2017, 03:03:24 AM
I don't think that Bitcoin will ever be able to replace dollar as dollar is accepted everywhere in this world and it is regarded as a global currency but Bitcoin is not that popular. Moreover Bitcoin transactions charge very high fees which makes the use of Bitcoin impossible for small transactions.
Of course it would be impossible to happen, look at the dollar is the currency of a country and legal there is no shortage in the dollar. Whereas bitcoin has not been widely accepted anywhere. How can bitcoin replace dollar? I think this statement is just a joke lol

That's what and fiat is much more safer and efficient to use than bitcoin honestly. It's literally cold hard cash which you could spend instantly at any retailer without the worry of the value being depreciated etc.

Moreover to replace dollar, bitcoin has to reach new heights and bypass action by governments and other entities.
90  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-07-18]Chinese Investors Victimized by Coindash 8m Hacking on: July 19, 2017, 02:38:23 AM
I am actually so sad  reading this news regarding CoinDash as they lost a big amount of money invested for the project. I am actually promoting this ICO on social media and I believe that they have something on their sleeve to make it a good project. Sadly, their security is not so strong that a hacker was able to get in and steal the money and the show.

How the project can go on will depend on how resourceful is the team and how they can be able to surmount this big challenge can be a testament on their resiliency. I am wishing them all the luck they need. I think they are not running anymore and so the project will continue despite of what had happened.

Let us all support these guys!

While I feel sad for the people who got their money stolen, at the same time I feel that this news has given a huge alert to all current and potential ICO's for securing their service which is the only positive thing. These ICO organizers should feel the fear now and will probably start taking more precautions and audits on their website and alternative channels of communication.

Pretty much a pointless copy/paste of part of a news article.  Huh
If you are going to point out an article of interest just give your comment and link to it.... Roll Eyes

Also I would like to point out that its preferably better to post this in the press section of this forum.

92  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How effective are bitcoin trading bots? on: July 19, 2017, 02:19:29 AM
How effective are bitcoin trading bots? I read a review on google where a person claimed that he turned 300$ into 50000$ in one year using bitcoin trading bot (i can't remember the name of the bot).

This could be true, but none knows for sure at the moment. Trading bots are very effective for people who would like to make money while they sleep, as they say. Though its not guaranteed to make profits it definitely provides a peace of mind and flexibility for the traders. I don't personally use any trading bots but I have asked some of the users who use it (GunBot) and they said that if you have a large initial investment for example 1-3 btc you can make huge profits with these bots but at the same time lower amounts would work perfectly as well.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: monero price prediction on: July 18, 2017, 05:15:41 PM
what do you guys think about monero.....think it will be big as bitcoin?what you think the price will be 2018 or do you think it will ever hit $200+
Monero is a useful coin and has real life usage so I think it is going to keep growing I don't think we are going to see that price in 2018 I think the sooner we are going to see that price is 2020 but it does not matter monero is a great coin to hold or to use.
Well, Monero is an altcoin for using in Underworld and Business, I think very difficult to up price an altcoin stable, useful and popular as Monero. The price $200+ maybe hit in future but it can't do that before 2018, I can sure it 100%

Pretty much mate. The only way monero is being used practically is on the deep web, where the drug market strives. As the fees are high and confirmation time of bitcoin is poor monero is seen as a great alternative.

The drop in the price of monero at the moment is due to fact that one the biggest deep web marketplace knows as alphabay was taken down. I cannot predict any price at the moment but I feel like its going to crash hard soon.

94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Survey] Who controls the Altcoin scene ? on: July 18, 2017, 05:03:13 PM
I know the answer but i want to see if you all do.
Or if you care ?

I don't know if I am correct but I think these are the likely answers:
• ICO Organisers .
• Pump and dump groups.
• Exchanges.
95  Economy / Economics / Re: Your plans for 1st august? on: July 18, 2017, 04:54:56 PM
I guess I'll keep my bitcoin, but I do not think I'll make any transaction in August until there's a notification if the transaction is safe to do. Well, I hope after that bitocin prices go up high.
I think when SegWit2x active, exchange site will frozen market because if still running, it will make loss Bitcoin of user. In history, Poloniex had told to user they will frozen BTC/Altcoin when have HardFork split Bitcoin to 2 network is Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin Unlimit for avoid this situation and loss Bitcoin in their site

Even though this is not likely to happen again, some people still say that there is a change of 2 versions of bitcoin to be created during the split and considering the outcome of the split I'm going to predict a huge market crash. Anyways, at the moment all we can do is hold our coins safely in our wallets.
96  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you would win a Jackpot what would you do with the money? on: July 18, 2017, 04:48:38 PM
If you would win a large amount suddenly, like a jackpot or a lottery, what would you do with the money? Especially if the money is coming to you suddenly, unexpected, and you were not prepared to win such large amount.

Let's say you would win something like 200 BTC or more,  which I have seen many gambling websites payout from time to time. What would you do with it?

1) You would gamble with it again, trying to multiply the bet, to get even more money
2) You would withdraw the money, and invest it into some financial investment: maybe some cryptocurrency investment, maybe some fiat investment
3) You would spend it:
    A) Buy a car or a house
    B) Spend it on women or wife
    C) Spend it on your kids
4) Donate it to charity
5) Start up a business
6) Hold it in Bitcoin
7) Other

I would definitely choose the second option that is to invest. I'm pretty sure none in the right minds would ever gamble the money to multiply it just like that. If they do it, they must be really dumb to do so. On withdrawing the money, I would start my own business with the idea I have in mind and at the same time invest the money onto to real estate. With all these happening I would make sure I would spend the money on some luxuries as well as I have the right to enjoy it xD.  Cool
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: July 18, 2017, 04:43:18 PM
Hi guys Smiley May I know what are your plans on your Bitcoin in the future? Do you plan to keep on investing on Bitcoin related businesses or do plan to convert it into fiat and ventures on new business?

I'm planning to invest more on Bitcoin related companies and convert some of my Bitcoin into fiat and invest it on our local stock market. How about you?

Like most of the other users, I plan on holding bitcoins for a long time as well but with an added twist. Currently I have made some investments which has given me guaranteed profits and also I do a little bit of trading with ethereum and I make sure that I dont incur much losses.
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to attract investors (500 BTC) for new betting concept on: July 18, 2017, 01:13:02 AM
Thank you for your reply.

The word platform is a little heavy for what I have in mind.

For example https://www.bustabit.com/ is a unique betting site. Straight forward.
Easy to deposit BTC and get credits (bits) and easy to withdrawl credits(bits) to BTC again.
This is not a big platform. Its just 1 appealing game.

I am developing a unique appealing game to, and I want to find out where and how to find/attract investors.
Like I said before the target is 500 BTC. They will be used for bankroll, advertising and getting a license.
Ofcourse we will launch a beta first... But since there is so much info out there I decided to (finally) make a profile here and make a post.

I wouldn't say bustabit is unique betting site because way before it came into existence, the cs:go gambling sites had the bustabit game on their sites way before. Anyways, taking in mind how successful bustabit became, you could try to clone one of the many appealing csgo gambling game and implement bitcoin on to it. It's a great idea in my opinion and I have witnessed countless people doing it. Talking about investment, the only viable to raise 500 btc in my opinion is to start an ICO. With money raised you can spend it easily on signature campaigns and use it as the bankroll as well.
99  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Profitable trading bot developed, need funds to invest! on: July 18, 2017, 12:52:14 AM
Hi,

I have developed a profitable trading bot which trades on the bittrex exchange and checks all coin pairs in 1 minute intervals for potential trends. So far I have turned 1 BTC into 2,6 BTC within just 24 hours. Currently the bot doesn't trade with real money because my bittrex balance is 0. If somebody sends me 0.05 BTC I will set up your own copy of the bot to trade live 24/7.

"So far I have turned 1 BTC into 2,6 BTC within just 24 hours" it seems. Where is the actual proof of this taking place then? At least show an image of the bot if not a video. Sorry, but your whole statement has a scamish vibe to it and I don't think anyone is simply going to just send you money just like that.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Target Coin - World's FIRST And ONLY Bonus Paying Crypto Fund on: July 18, 2017, 12:08:07 AM
The concept behind this ICO looks very interesting and at the same time looks like one of its kind. The investment strategy of using artificial intelligence to make trade looks promising as well. Also, this looks like a great investment opportunity for all potential investors. Looking forward to it.
