41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How safe is Bitcoin gambling on: April 10, 2018, 09:29:35 PM
While the only real safe method of gambling is to do to a casino, I would say that Bitcoin gambling is safer than some of the others sites.
Do some research before depositing your coins, this forum is a wealth of knowledge.
Can you explain how it is possible to do bitcoin gambling in a much safer way? Because even bitcoin gambling you will spend it and deposit in a gambling site and the gambling site you use to played in you have no assurance if that is a safe site. I will more agree to the first one which is casino gambling, you have your money hold it and if it loss in your hand or you got scam by other people its your fault.
There are many gambling sites there that is running for years and has a good feedbacks that make you assure that you will withdraw the profits you earned there. If you dont have the trust to play gambling on online gambling sites , its easy. Dont play to avoid the inconvenience you are suffering.

The thought of the gambling sites having good feedback and long term establishment is just good for having faith in the website an individual is betting on. Once the funds are deposited, the private key is the hands of the gambling site. So if a hacker were to exploit a bug wherein money is to be spit out, cold storage security would fail since the site has to give money. Also exit scams is also something that can happen. Therefore it all depends on the user of the site since he/she agrees to the terms and conditions.
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IS IT THE BEST TIME FOR GAMBLING? on: April 10, 2018, 09:11:28 PM
Ive read some news and threads saying that stocks and cryptos is dropping low and indeed its true. Bitcoins price drops to $7K and is quite disturbing.

Do you think its the best time for gambling? Given these following reasons.

- A certain loss on holding a coin can be obtained if you win on a bet in gambling and can recover what has been lost to you because of the drop.

-  Holding is not that practical because it can be much lowered in the future and better risk it on gambling than seeing it continue dying.

- Trading or Holding consumes more time and risk and it prolongs the pressure of loss in you mind and stress you through out the day and the only way to release it is to risk it in gambling.

As you can see, these things are only successful if you win and much stressful if you dont. What do you choose? What do you recommend? Need some answers.

Absolutely, considering all other reasons too, the best reason is the fact that the transaction fees are in an all time low. You can send a transaction with a fees as low as 30-50 satoshi and also get it confirmed within a few minutes. Convenience is a key factor which apply's during the experience of a gambling session, so this really helps in enjoying the games even further.
43  Economy / Speculation / Re: John eat-a-dick | Will he or won’t he? | ? Bitcoin price December 31 2020 on: April 10, 2018, 08:59:41 PM
He is a typical sociopath in my perspective. I know its not related to what he does in the bitcoin space, but there is a documentary of him on youtube where one of his so called girlfriend in Thailand said that he like to do some kinky stuff like eating their feces which turns him on. It is also rumored that he is involved in a murder. Its give an outlook of the kind of person he is. SHADY AF.

In the meantime in the crypto world he is a hype and fame whore where looks to exploit opportunities to make bucks (Advertising scam ICO). The prediction of bitcoin to reach 1M is just for a media hype to increase the price that's all. His statement of him eating a dick is not gonna happen at all IMO, he is gonna come with some excuse saying its was a prank or something in the end.
44  Economy / Economics / Re: Why I am quitting ICO's on: April 10, 2018, 04:21:22 PM
I decided to quit ICO's. From December till now I invested about 5 eth into several ICO's. Invest what you can miss, this is what was able to miss.

Right now the first few of my ICO's have reached the exchanges. Most are under performing, but this is related to the overall dip (can be read everywhere). I understand, but ICO token economics have changed also.

  • massive hardcaps
  • most is sold in pre-sale to big investors, leaving scraps for crowdsale
  • much attention to marketing, less to working product or realistic time lines
  • immediately available on EtherDelta and IDEX, sure sign of little interest in token economics/future
  • no lock on pre-sale tokens, whales take their x2, x3 or x-whatever as soon as possible (I would probably have done the same). Prices drop to below ICO price.
  • too many ICO's without distinctive differences.
  • too many ICO's in general
  • too much tokens reserved for team/marketing
  • many ICO's don't even have a crowdsale anymore (which perhaps is a good thing as the little investors are protected this way)
  • ICO prizes are quite high. 1eth = 1000/4000 tokens is pretty common, but with a hc of 40 million, this will not easily go x10 or more.

I was 'unlucky' to miss out on a few ICO's besides the ones I was able to participate in. Afterwards I am glad, since I was able to pick most up at a fraction of the ICO price.

Important as ever: DYOR as not all ICO's have a genuine solution to a genuine problem. Some may seem like a fantastic solution, but often it is marketing combined with a strong team, and not so much a great working product.

And who am I? I am definitely a nobody Tongue, but still wanted to share my experiences and perhaps save people from thinking of getting on board of the next x100 ICO Smiley

p.s. when a Telegram has over 20k subscribers all screaming 'when lambo' with endless rows of animated gifs, you may also wonder if this is a serious block chain solution which will revolutionize 'x' Smiley
The ICO is currently affected by the price of bitcoin being reduced. So there are many ICOs that are listed on the exchanges where the price falls lower than the purchase price of the ICO. but maybe a few months. After the price of BTC increase and everything normal again

The declining price of bitcoin is true, but I believe the main reason for many of the sinking ICO's is the lack of market hype that ICO's used to have in 2017. Negative press releases about scammy behavior, lack of innovation, exit scams also contribute to this. Another point for the decline of the token price is the dumping of tokens by bounty hunters just after they receive it to make a quick buck.

In short, the application looks amazing. Really like the clean, non-clustered look of the app. Very simple to look at and fast enough for daily usage. The Arbitrage feature is something which I was looking for in app recently, and its great that its available. One thing I would suggest you to add is an option for holding, in which and individual can set an amount for the coin he holds and look through the value in real time.
46  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How can we develop a successful program ? If we only have small money on: April 10, 2018, 03:42:55 PM
I dont know how to start a program with small money Undecided

It depends on your idea to say the least. If its good enough, you can easily attract investors and team members looking to further develop and establish your idea/program into a successful one. If you are able to get in contact with a team, you should find out everything about the team, especially the development team. Ex: Google their names, visit their LinkedIn profiles etc. Make sure who you are dealing with is legitimate which is the most important part. Good Luck.

48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Worried about btc future on: April 07, 2018, 09:50:45 PM
Well, the price of bitcoin is an unexpected as getting into an accident. Its a gamble in my opinion, but if a person truly believes in the technology and the community, then there is no limits. I have a lost a ton of money in the recent decrease in the price of bitcoin but i still believe that technology such as lightning will make it better and thus increase the price in the future.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Gold : Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again on: December 05, 2017, 12:20:35 PM
The flippening for BTG could take place anytime soon like what happened with Bitcoin cash so therefore a rise in the price of btg in the range of 0.03440- 0.06878 is predicted by the end of this month.

If this will cross 0.05BTC than it will be Christmas present for everyone let us see when the whales start moving this above that price. BTG is looking much better BCash there is big space for this rise.

Definitely, plus the btg team is constantly trying to contact other exchanges to add the coin. Shape shift is in the process of adding support at the moment.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, is it really just a bubble? on: December 05, 2017, 12:18:11 PM
Most of the people who has made the statement that bitcoin is a bubble are the people who regret not buying bitcoin when the price was feasible/low. All of these so called bankers and wealthy people want to get into the game now and make a quick profit. Nevertheless they know that articles and news saying bitcoin is a bubble will stir up a reaction among the people and cause a dip, therefore enabling these guys to buy at a lower price.

54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you trust Poloniex? on: July 27, 2017, 01:32:42 AM
I'm saying somewhat but its only due to the fact that it has a large user base with many satisfied customers but at the same time the negative response from the community has led me to be quite careful with depositing huge sums onto to the exchange. Most of the complaints about the site is regarding the long wait for withdrawal of some coins, deposits not showing etc. Therefore I just risk a small amount of coins while trading.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins in the future on: July 27, 2017, 01:21:22 AM
I believe for you to earn bigtime is to buy and hold and wait for the right timing. As of now infos are very easy to access. Knowing when to dump is not a hard thing. But all you need is the courage to take the risk.

Also, a good insight and knowledge about the cyptocurrency is required if you are going to hold it for a long time and expect it to be huge in the future. Simply buying coins due to others advises is not going to work.

57  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Who are using bitcoinvanitygen is it legit or not? on: July 27, 2017, 12:57:10 AM
Guys do you know this site https://bitcoinvanitygen.com/ where we can make custom bitcoin address do you think its safe to make your own custom bitcoin address in that site to save bitcoin or use only for receiving and temporary stay bitcoins?
I never tested this site but i am planning to use this as my receiving address in the future..

Do not use this service, its a pure scam. Besides there are many people who got scammed by the service and you can see their complaints if you do a quick search on google.

If you want to get a vanity address, make sure you generate it by your own on your computer. Here is a reliable tutorial on how to make one : https://99bitcoins.com/how-to-get-a-custom-bitcoin-address/
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum to moon(400) during BTC update on Aug 1 on: July 27, 2017, 12:26:50 AM
If Bitcoin goes down, then Ethereum will go down harder. As we have seen lately.

It will remain stagnant due to update and it will be unable to be traded so btc will not go down literally and remain the same. So what would you think of the alt coin movement by that time?

There can also be another situation. Due the update on august, people might convert btc to ethereum just in time for being safe or some other reasons. This can potentially make the price of eth to jump around 300 - 400$.
59  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Ebay, Kohls cash, Target SELL on: July 27, 2017, 12:23:44 AM
Interested but how were these obtained ? Traded or brought directly from the retailers, also do you sell in bulk ?
60  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Reach $3,000 Next Week? on: July 27, 2017, 12:15:29 AM
After climbing above $2,500, bitcoin seemed to pass the 2700$ mark yesterday while reverting back to small losses before reaching 2800$. People say it could reach 3000$ by the end of the month, but if the panic among the community for august 1st sets in, there is a chance for bitcoin to plummet back to the 2000 range. So yeah, it all depends on the market demand.
