Hi i was just wondering is it basically impossible to take bitcoin from an encrypted paper wallet that has a strong password?
This address has 1 Bitcoin in it: 1J5cjne6YVkgRTMTjqnaJVk1CWEEr3CcdX It's free, for whoever cracks the 6 random characters in the BIP38 password. It hasn't been cracked since April 2015. You can find the Encrypted Private Key in I'm BIP38 curious, please help me out!It costs a lot more than 1 Bitcoin to brute-force the password.

Yes, but consider the fact that you can have more than one escrow, and that OP already is trusted with thousands of bitcoins, this is no reason to trust him with an additional 2000 or more. He gave back (or will give back) all invested money today. Who would you trust more, an "escrow", or the guy who managed up to 6000 Bitcoins of other people's money for years? An escrow is good as a middle man to complete a transaction between parties. This transaction won't be completed in that sense: if the money is used to start another project, it has to come out of escrow.

I would like addy with word "gambino" first letter lowercase or uppercase does not matter
04F2AD8D8A49E7141C9571320B10DF1E6C5B5566E9E5621C0FD67662C7D54F66898DC7F2FB1A39D C06818F098624DF1143E993E2D247B035F04FF4E13A4B32A933
I can get you 1 Gambino for 0.0076 BTC. If you're interested, my addy is the same as in the OP: 1foreverDArUNEX2gVD26vautcx3b8zTZ. It will probably take me a few days to a week minimum to get it, it could be faster, but there are no exact times in random searches. I'll also search for 1 gambino, which has about 3% chance in this search. Either 1gambino or 1Gambino has a difficulty of around 25764951706000. Compared to 1Sweeet, (difficulty 888446610538), the difficulty is 29 time greater. You're right for 1gambino. Starting with 1G is a lot easier than starting with 1g.

I'm intrigued by this ICO and more in particular the possibility of having Cryptoshares. Or maybe a better word: a Stockchain. I did read you're not sure yet about how to implement it exactly, but I'd love to see this succeed, and hopefully this idea can eventually expand to many other stocks. Regarding the second statement. You just have to trust me. I'm one of the most trusted members of the forum and have looked after 6000 Bitcoin of other peoples money for a few years now.
Is there a plan in case something happens to you? Let's hope not, but you're talking big money here. Even Satoshi suddenly disappeared from the forum. I think 0.01 or 0.001 could be a good minimum amount. Would like feedback on that. Also should there be refunds allowed in the 1st 3 weeks of ICO if > 2000 is reached?
I remember from Mt.Gox-data that many people owned very small amounts, and only a few people owned almost everything. I do like a low minimum, but I'd be surprised if the small investors make up even 1% of the total amount raised. With the structure of the investment, Will you accept cancellations before Jan 1st for early investors? That is my biggest issue, A BTC2000 investment makes a valuation of BTC6666 for the total site, A BTC5000 total investment means the site needs to be worth BTC16,667 to make it a break even investment? I am not going to allow cancelations or refunds. If the site raises more than the 2000 then that is more money to use on marketing and dev. Which means products are released faster and more traffic is generated which means faster ROI. I think it's clear that there's more money for new developments. But what "win win win" means (in my opinion) is that the ROI from buying 30% of the current dice site gets worse when more money is raised. Say someone invests 1000 Bitcoin. If 2000 Bitcoin is raised, he ownes 50%, meaning he'll get 15% of all revenue. But if 10,000 Bitcoins are raised, this guy's 1000 Bitcoin is only 10%, and he'll only get 3% of all revenue. At any "traditional" IPO, the share price is fixed upfront, so you know what percentage of the company you're buying. That's a bit confusing: you pay upfront without knowing what percentage you get. I will be keeping an eye on this ICO. It does seem strange that a site that has had 7000btc profit would need to start an ICO though so some digging is needed I think.
The way I see it: after working on it for years, the owner wants some cash. He tried to sell it, but not many people who can afford it also want the "hassle" of running a dice site. That leaves very few buyers. Now he sells 30%, gets to keep 70%, and still gets enough cash to start other projects. And he'll own those projects for 70%.

The first screenshot is wrong, and this is the reason why Lottery Bot now gets manual verification. Now the real results: Congratulations donvinlander for winning 723 mBTC. Full Lottery Results on this link are of course public but unfortunately use the wrong Block hashes. The winning Lottery Ticket was #4755. Lottery Bot used Blocks 441185 and 441186. However, Blocks 441185 was found 8 seconds before the Draw at 23:00h (Dutch time) according to blockchain.info and blockr.io. That means Lottery Bot failed (again). I don't know the exact reason, but that's why Lottery is set up in such a way that anybody can verify it. Now the correct blocks:Block 1: 00000000000000000299cbaf0dac21cb32cea108d0e9c69f5388acda5dc08456 (441187) Block 2: 000000000000000000fac7b376a4c1cb6efe2d7219ebbd76e29c980835054cac (441186) Server seed: 8M58M5Q0k6XJ61T63gS4w66C8826232W Total tickets: 7230 Enter these at http://jsfiddle.net/Lk4p0ext/54/embedded/result/ to get the result: Winning Ticket: 4755.Full Lottery Results Revision using the correct Block hashes. The next Draw is Wednesday (today) 23:00h Amsterdam time. If there's still anything I can do to prove that this account is mine just tell me and I will do it as quick as I can.
Although your story sounds plausible: Isn't this just the risk of buying an account? You buy someone else's history, for better or for worse. For that reason, account sales are discouraged and "frowned upon".

In the last Draw, Lottery Bot used the wrong block hashes, resulting in CASIO winning. He was kind enough to volunteer to return the prize. It took quite a while to have the results verified by a second person, madcoin did this today. To check, go to http://jsfiddle.net/Lk4p0ext/54/embedded/result/ and use this data: Block 1: 00000000000000000214180f50523bb19703481188b3251d2f612638a2d49e47 Block 2: 000000000000000003654e791eea4094b81d61b198478649ec062ace26eddab1 Server Seed: 19O2ypE28w6WxT6uc85JJX87H1B8V5X6 (ignore client seed) Total Tickets: 80 Result: Ticket 68 won. The Ticket Numbers show: erikalui: 68,69,70 Congratulations erikalui for winning 8 mBTC with a Free Lottery Ticket (12 days ago).Since CASIO was so kind to return the prize from the Draw that used the wrong block hashes, I'll send all remaining tickets to him for a while.

Can a normal GPU even fit in a laptop?
Nope. (If you ask questions like this, I recommend to buy a ready-made system.) If you run a GPU full speed in your laptop to generate vanity addresses, I would bet that you destroy your laptop before you ever find a 7 character vanity. I wouldn't consider using anything less than a 7970 which you could get used for around $100. Honestly though, don't generate vanity addresses on your laptop. I think it is highly likely you will destroy your hardware, as laptops weren't made with the ventilation to be abused like that.
As a long-time laptop user, I have never had a broken fan. I always try to get laptops with a low-power CPU though. My GPU consumes more power now than the CPU. As long as I keep it clear from dust, it runs at 60 oC.

You can always send me a message. Lottery is BACK! Next Draw: tomorrow!
Note: before the Draw, I will move the balance out of Lottery account to another account. After the Draw, Lottery can't tip. It will get verified manually. This is a temporary fix until Lottery Bot is fixed again. The problem was/is that Lottery Bot isn't always in sync with blockchain, so it takes hashes from older blocks to pick the winner. This conflicts with being provably fair.Next Draw is Tuesday 23:00h (Dutch time). Lottery pot: 313 mBTC. Good luck!

I'm so sick of generating vanity addresses on a CPU! I'm looking for a cheap computer, laptop or tablet (Hopefully around $250USD or less) that has a good enough GPU to generate some vanity addresses quicker than my old acer's CPU. It only gets 170k addresses per.. Second? Minute? Whatever the calculation is on vanitygen. I would skip the tablet for this. I can't help you with USD-prices, you may want to check something like pricewatch.com to find a good deal. I've been looking at chromebooks but I just don't think the OS is adopted enough. I might get a chromebook and try to just install Ubuntu on it. The first hit Google gives me is your own post from 3 months ago. That's not very promising. Does anyone have a recommendation of a GPU I should / shouldn't look for? I've heard that Intel GPUs don't work for vanitygen for one reason or another (it's honestly probably too complicated for me to understand) and all of my laptops over the years have had an Intel GPU.
My laptop has a Nvidia GeForce 840M, it wasn't that expensive 2 years go, so you can probably find it even cheaper (or better) now. I get about 7 Mkey/s, but it slows my system down a lot, so I run it when I'm not using my laptop. Desktops can get much higher rates. What are you looking for? If it's only a few addresses you can ask someone to do it for you.
