Wondering if there's any news on solving the UK "technical difficulties" so far? I have some phone credit to dump, lol

7 day luck average is still 102% ;-).
Very true Hopefully there will be enough confirmations today for me to get my 1st "big" payout of 10BTC If all goes well over January I'll be looking at building a few more miners. Quite new to bitcoin really, got 3x 5830s (and a Geforce and a Core i7 CPU) mining away for now.

Fairly bad luck over the last couple of days... Hopefully there'll be a few days of good luck to make up for it soon

Just so you get a bit of feedback...
I probably would in about a years time, but I make no guarantees... I usually use local composers for any projects that I do, but the current project probably isn't going to be ready for any kind of audio until about October/November 2012

I propose the name: Orichalcum (or Orichalc if you're looking for something shorter, or Oricalc if you want it to be more about calculations :p)
Reason:
As "Electrum is a naturally occurring alloy of gold and silver, with trace amounts of copper and other metals" (From Wiki) Orichalcum is a metal mentioned in several ancient writings, most notably the story of Atlantis as recounted in the Critias dialogue, recorded by Plato. According to Critias, orichalcum was considered second only to gold in value.
I just thought it was fitting.

Mine is also none for namecoins on the same block, so it's possible that it's how it's supposed to be...
0.1+ bitcoins a round? What kinda hashrate you got?
|
|
|
Just noticed on the stats page that the last 3 blocks have been "Processing..." for quite a long time, is there some kind of issue, or should I just be more patient?

Well, judging from the error message, what that usually means is that the pictures on the page aren't encrypted, which is fairly common as it saves on server resources and bandwidth.
It's probably chrome being over-cautious.
I've not tested it in chrome myself because I don't really like it that much, so maybe someone else will come along and tell you if they have the same issue.
Also, I imagine that clicking the "What do these mean?" button may provide you with similar info...
Note (slightly unrelated): On a personal note, I hate applications that give vague error/warning messages.. "There is some problem somewhere" doesn't help you fix the problem or know if it's safe to continue anyway... So if anyone develops any apps, please have helpful error messages. (As a developer it's a 'pet peeve' of mine)

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

Thank you very much. That's pretty much what I'd suspected...
Over the next week (or a little more, I have many other projects) I'll build up a simple cpu based miner and build up some documentation from there.
You never know, it might turn into a much bigger project, I do fancy building a miner anyway....

Bump.
I will be documenting this fully to help people in the future. But I want to be sure that I understand it fully before I start in case I miss something important out!
