We have just put slides from our talk in Bratislava hackerspace Progressbar and Prague hackerspace Brmlab on our website - http://trezor.bitcoin.cz/
Click the button on the right ...

I see you have custom holograms on you Kanban board . . .

Are they decorative  ?
Do they go on the back ?
Not much free space on the front.

This is work in progress. The logical place would be on the side (front or back position does not damage the sticker when the device is opened).
403  Bitcoin / Project Development / HTML Meta Tag for Bitcoin (donations) on: January 31, 2013, 10:28:58 AM
Hi!

I would like to propose the following HTML meta tag for Bitcoin donations. If this idea is accepted, one could create a browser extension that shows the bitcoin icon in the URL bar and user can simply donate to the website by clicking on it (which will launch bitcoin client with pre-filled address).

example:

<meta name="bitcoin" content="1BitkeyP2nDd5oa647AjvBbbwST54W5Zmx" />

What do you think about that? Does it make sense to you?

How did you get 12k bitcoins on picture of the first prototype if your address http://blockchain.info/fb/1brmla had never had such btc amount  Grin

pure magic (or rather a secret wish) :-)

your signature is not clickable

fixed. thanks

No, this is not a Solitaire Game, but our planning Kanban board (powered by mighty Trello). As you can see, we are working hard on Trezor ...

Just sent a donation,

Is it an idea to maybe do sort of a status update/press release on the forum or mabye via some newssite to highlight the project and the status.
And that would also be a good opportunity to ask for donations ?

We have started a small microsite at http://trezor.bitcoin.cz/ - now it contains just few links. But probably later it'll be a full website with features you are mentioning.

PS: Your donation haven't arrived yet :-/

I am saying you or anyone else should triple-check before doing any business with people like him.

Thanks for the info.

Locking the thread as the contest is over.

Gratz to a guy stealing others' works.

Would you like to be more specific?
410  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY] 2 BTC - logo for Trezor: Bitcoin Hardware Wallet on: January 26, 2013, 10:18:24 PM
After a long decision process we decided to pick a submission from dpcman. Congratulations!

dpcman: please send me a private message containing the vector image (SVG) and your bitcoin address, so we can send you your award! :-)
411  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY] 2 BTC - logo for Trezor: Bitcoin Hardware Wallet on: January 25, 2013, 01:48:29 AM
Okay guys, stepping up the game a little Tongue

oh, i just noticed that your submission does not qualify. you have to ship either hi-res bitmap (1024px+) or a vector file :-)

(just naggin' to see how serious we are about everything Smiley)
412  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ANN] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: January 24, 2013, 04:21:37 PM
I think with the method Mike described, that's not the case. If a virus on the flashing computer attempted to flash a modified version of the firmware, the bootloader would reject it due to an invalid signature.

Yes, right. USB mass storage bootloader with asymmetric crypto check would be the way. But we have to consider very carefully whether is introducing another attack vector for such small benefit worth it.

And what if a security vulnerability is found in the software? Am I supposed to buy a new one? Shouldn't the sellers bear that cost? Software upgrades are important. And yes, the signing key becomes more sensitive the more that are sold but there are definitely ways to mitigate that risk.

To enable flashing feature you have to ultimately trust the computer you are performing flashing on. If there was such computer you would not need Trezor at all (speaking of average users not technical savvy people).

Do you need some funds ?

We are accepting donations at 1BitkeyP2nDd5oa647AjvBbbwST54W5Zmx

And yes, the research and development cost time & money ... :-)
415  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY] 2 BTC - logo for Trezor: Bitcoin Hardware Wallet on: January 24, 2013, 09:20:57 AM
Okay guys, stepping up the game a little Tongue

that looks really nice! what's the metaphor for small boxes coming out of the unlocked padlock? :-)
416  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY] 2 BTC - logo for Trezor: Bitcoin Hardware Wallet on: January 24, 2013, 12:47:28 AM
I really like the idea with padlock O - here are my entries (out of the competition):

417  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / [Off-topic part] [ANN] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: January 22, 2013, 11:37:10 PM
Yep, please, stick to the topic and don't hijack the discussion.
418  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY] 2 BTC - logo for Trezor: Bitcoin Hardware Wallet on: January 22, 2013, 11:35:12 PM
I notice all the submissions are using just black and white.
By monochromatic do you also mean that people can use greyscale too ?

No, we mean black and white only i.e. no grayscale ...
419  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY] 2 BTC - logo for Trezor: Bitcoin Hardware Wallet on: January 21, 2013, 03:22:43 PM
Is it specifically 'trezor' i.e all lower case ?

Ah, no, I'll fix the first post. Acceptable are: "trezor", "Trezor" and "TREZOR".

Also, have you thought what you want to call it in other writing systems ?

Let's stick to latin alphabet for now :-)
420  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ANN] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: January 21, 2013, 02:40:59 PM
You don't have to do this now. As the software is open source, somebody could contribute such a protocol and then you incorporate it into your signed builds.

Yes, this is very nice concept but currently out of our project's scope. As you write, once the Trezor is released, it is a matter of rather small firmware modification ...
