241  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CoinMap - Map showing places where Bitcoin is accepted on: December 05, 2013, 02:17:16 PM
We should provide a better video.

I'm currently changing a lot of stuff on the site (mostly under the hood - altcoin support, etc.). So it would be better to wait a little before creating a video. Also I think a series of screenshot might be better (and easier to edit if needed) ...
242  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CoinMap - Map showing places where Bitcoin is accepted on: December 05, 2013, 12:10:38 AM
The plan is to programmatically push all this locations to Coinmap!

Good news, but please make sure you read the whole thread about OpenStreetMap Bitcoin spamming - https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk/2013-December/068735.html - we have to find common ground there ... That, of course, applies to all CoinMap contributors, not just folks from CoinKite.
243  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [PREORDER] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: November 29, 2013, 09:41:51 PM
I actually bought two of them- the plastic ones. Stick- would it be possible to 'upgrade' mine to the Metal bodies? Considering the BTC I send is now worth over a $1000? :-)

Unfortunately no. Bitcoins were exchanged to Euro to cover productions costs, not held to speculate on exchange rate.
244  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CoinMap - Map showing places where Bitcoin is accepted on: November 28, 2013, 02:59:35 PM
Some glitch with the script and/or overpass API. Should be OK now.
245  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [PREORDER] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: November 27, 2013, 04:15:59 PM
Why is there so little information about what is going on?

Because we are busy coding. :-)

A weekly progress report wouldn't hurt would it?

See answer #1. Smiley

Is January still a realistic target?

Yes. It is.

Jsou už někde v ČR obchody které přijímají bitcoin? Nebo eshopy? Zkoušeli jste to? Případně jaké máte zkušenosti.

neni toho moc, ale postupne pribudaju na http://coinmap.org/
247  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [PREORDER] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: November 19, 2013, 11:04:02 PM
Are you using a 3D printing manufacturing process to achieve this with the plastic edition?

No. We use mold casting. That's why the initial costs were quite high.

Did the above post help?
249  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [PREORDER] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: November 16, 2013, 10:46:56 PM
Does Trezor have protection against differential power analysis?

Power analysis requires lots of trials. While this can be done on smart-cards where no user interaction is needed, one cannot perform this effectively on TREZOR, because each trial requires entering of the PIN.

What prevents someone from opening it up? Is the case epoxy so that it will self destroy if opened?

It is very hard to open the case without breaking the electronics inside. Also keys are encrypted in chip, so even if someone is able to dump the contents it does not help.

Does Trezor leak any sort of sonic or other emissions which could help an adversary find the pin?

No.

Z jakeho duvodu byla cena na Mtgox cely den okolo 470 usd / btc a na btc-e.com se cely den pohybovala okolo 427 usd/btc?

Z akeho dovodu su byty v Prahe drahsie ako v Brne?!
251  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CoinMap - Map showing places where Bitcoin is accepted on: November 15, 2013, 05:47:53 PM
What about a waze for bitcoin? a map where you can see all bitcoin sellers and buyers in the surrounding. I think this could be far better than local bitcoin

CoinMap now centers and zooms map to your location (if you enable this function in your browser).
252  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [PREORDER] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: November 15, 2013, 12:41:41 PM
How difficult is it to open the TREZOR and directly read the data?

It is impossible to open TREZOR without effectively destroying the case. Also the data inside is encrypted so dumping it is not helping ...

Recently your site became very laggy.
Do you still actively develop it?

Yes I do. Coincidentally, I fixed lags yesterday. Press Ctrl+F5 to reload all the scripts. Did it fix the problem?

I would donate some BTC if you do.

Donation address is in the box on the website: 1BnpG4jddgNXsQBQjsU8BS3F1Ubm9XgVah Thanks!
254  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CoinMap - Map showing places where Bitcoin is accepted on: November 11, 2013, 01:26:26 PM
BRILLIANT IDEA.. however I can't get the listings to show... have followed the instructions, tried listing them with payment:bitcoin, and payment:bitcoin=yes, neither show. Are there any written detailed instructions to follow?

It's updated every hour. Have you waited long enough?
255  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CoinMap - Map showing places where Bitcoin is accepted on: November 07, 2013, 04:19:44 PM
Is there any easy way (or any way at all) to chart the change in the global total of places (currently 587)?

Not yet. Personally I'm not very fond of idea, because this trend doesn't mean anything.
256  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [PREORDER] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: October 31, 2013, 12:36:57 PM
Appears to be the metal version. Is that the only one in the 2 for 1 (3 BTC for 2), or is the plastic 2 for 1 BTC too?

It's both plastic and metallic version.
257  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [PREORDER] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: October 29, 2013, 07:43:09 PM
No.  Not confused at all.  Let's take an extreme example.  Suppose one orders a 3 BTC Trezor when BTC are $33.33.  They essentially paid $100.  They can do nothing but sit and wait until the product is delivered.  Delivered instantly, assuming your rates are the market rates, the buyer could turn around a sell it again for about 3 BTC.

Sorry, I cannot shake the feeling that what you are describing is a speculator not a supporter who funded a hardware project in crowd-funding campaign.
258  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [PREORDER] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: October 29, 2013, 02:23:28 PM
As it appears now, they're losing money nearly every day, assuming you'll later adjust your prices in the future to line up with USD value.

You are clearly confusing hardware wallet business with mining business. No one is losing money except us ...
259  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [PREORDER] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: October 29, 2013, 11:48:35 AM
So please send them right away. I didn't expect to trust it with larger amount for a few weeks anyway.

What would you do with the hardware if you cannot use it yet?
260  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [PREORDER] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: October 29, 2013, 09:27:14 AM
Is this from the PIN discussion at OHM?

Yes. We agreed that we need to come up with a way how to securely enter PIN on a compromised computer and we did so. :-)
